idjc gives me this output (in a terminal) when I try to connect with the web server code...

I have been using Ubuntu for almost one year or so. I use to have a good experience with it. But, since last few days I have been experiencing something nuance with my Ubuntu and most particularly the Exaile player. It use to connect to the Shoutcast server fine. But, these days I can't connect it. Everytime I try to connect it; it shows the message, "Error connecting shoutcast server". I have tried reinstalling it along with the normal plugins that use to work fine. But nothing seems working.

View 2 Replies View Relatedthere is a program on the shoutcast website called sc_trans which can be configured fairly easily to transmit a playlist via shoutcast. However, it seems to require a set playlist, and there is no easy and reliable way to tell it one song after the other what it should play (say, to get it to play whatever I am playing in Rhythmbox if I were to write a program to do that). So the question I have is this: Is there an alternative (preferably open source) shoutcast transmission library that I can use instead?

if any can share some light on this i would be very grateful, i have searched my filesystem for possible ways but all i get when searching for exaile is .pyc an .py files (i don't know about programming)
I am connecting servers using NFS4 the shared directories are on servers running Debian 4 while the one who read from them is Debian 5.0.3. The problem is one of these shared servers suddenly stop responding and you cannot list it from Debian 5 server, also df hang, and the web application that is using it does not respond to requests that use this shared directory since it is blocked. Then the load on the server start to increase until the server cannot respond (over 90). I have found many entries in the syslog that refer to this like:
ma25555 kernel: [1200285.732919] nfs: server 10.xxx.xxx.xxx not responding, still trying
Dec 31 08:16:33 ma25555 kernel: [1200289.815378] INFO: task java:9702 blocked for more than 120 seconds.
Dec 31 08:16:33 ma25555 kernel: [1200289.835249] "echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs" disables this message.

I have tried the connection between the 2 servers using ping for one day and all are OK (zero lost)
There are 3 other servers that are running Debian 4 and are working fine.
Because our visitors/customers are short term, and may be configured incorrectly with their own mail servers we automagically redirect all port 25 traffic going to internal IP's to our own mail servers while on our network.(postfix on centos 5.6)While I have taken some measures to prevent it from spamming, I would greatly appreciate some assistance.I will be putting in clamav, but I haven't configured it yet with the mail.I am using postfix, but can also put on procmail or even spam assassin
View 6 Replies View RelatedYes I know there was so many themes created about broadcasting shoutcast radio, but I wasn't got information where program work good. I have tried IDJC, but not work. I need the program that I just install it and works. Program should have 2 audio players (1 is good too) and microphone "player" for talking (key OFF/ON).
P.S.: My PC runs Ubuntu 10.04
Is it possible to set up Rhythmbox to get Shoutcast internet radio?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use shoutcast to select streaming audio stations to play, depending on mood, whim, whatever.when I click on 'tune in' next to the audio station, rhythmbox pops up....and that's that. I would expect it to just start playing the station. If I select 'Radio' in rhythmbox's upper left panel, and -then- click 'tune in' on the shoutcast page next to the station I want, there's an entry made in the playist at that time, but then there's an error popup says: Couldn't Start Playback You do not have a decoder installed to handle this file. You might need to install the necessary plugins. Which is surprising. It's a shoutcast stream. It should just play. But anyway, I guess something didn't get installed in the default install.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOur mail server keeps on hanging after a while. This happened after there was a breakdown in electricity supply and the server room air conditioners stopped working for almost half a day. We are not sure whether this is a server hardware problem or a coincidence with a break-in attempt or malware activity.
Following are the message from the server log code...
We liked the idea to broadcast-stream live for our fellow students. Firstly we thought to start with music and then continue with interviews. If we cannot make it live, then we can play a recorded interview.
As I saw, both are playing with winamp for windows. Is there something helpful for playing with openSUSE (or linux in general)?
You'll tell me that most of my friends use windows, why now use their? I just wanted to make it open source and try to play some CC music first (like jamendo).
I would like to code a program that can play the shoutcast, eventally with lirc and sure without any X (command line). Is there a way to retrieve all those streams from their shoutcast website? I noted that the daily headlines availabe in each country arent there.

I'm trying to install my NVIDIA video driver but keep getting the error message that an X-Server is running. I am assuming that would be my desktop.
How do I stop an X-Server in KDE? I think I know how it is done in Gnome.
I have done a basic installation for a server. And then I have removed the screen and the keyboard because I have no place for them so my server is blind.I manage the server from my laptop using NX.I am using the root user because I can't stop the server with a normal user.I have installed the nvidia driver with the one click method.
Now without the monitor, the video fan is very noisy. When I click on the nvidia X Server settings button I get this message :"You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your X configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the X server."It seems that the driver does not load because it does not found any monitor.
