I am running a PHP script using the GD library on a Linux server. When I try to load a font using PHP's imageloadfont(), GD replies with:
Code:
gd warning: product of memory allocation multiplication would exceed INT_MAX, failing operation gracefully
Linux kernel is 2.6, PHP version is 5.2.9 and GD is 2.0.34.
I have tried several different font but all have the same issue. Does anyone know what the error means?
rencently, i move develop env from one linux machine to another, two linux have same gcc and make version, but at new linux machine make warning/error messages dont show color font.so, when make, there are all white messages, i cant focus on warning and error.

I am running the 32 bit version of Fedora 14. I have a provided program (not part of the Linux system) that notes "Cannot open font 9x15" and then crashes when it tries to do graphics. I have checked by using -fn in xterm and there is no 9x15 font. This agrees with xlsfonts. How do I get the 9x15 font installed on this system.
I am seeing a weird error in a font display. I see a small question mark next to a font that I am using as a simple graphic. Does this mean that some function call in xlib is being passed an invalid paramter?
I have F14 x86_64 installation on my laptop. I once used latex vary well. After recent update of the system, there seems to be a latex font problem. When I ran xdvi, the dvi window flashed once and disappeared immediately.
The error in the terminal is: Code: $ xdvi ms Warning: Missing charsets in String to FontSet conversion Warning: Unable to load any usable fontset Error: Aborting: no fontset found
I have xorg-x11-font-utils, xorg-x11-fonts-misc, xorg-x11-fonts-ISO8859-1-75dpi, and xorg-x11-fonts-ISO8859-1-100dpi installed. I then ran: Code: # yum install xorg-x11-fonts-ISO8859* to install some extra fonts. But the problem remained. What shall I do?
I've installed in Lenny with the 2.6.26-2-686 kernel, the xorg-xserver-input-evouch package, I've edited the xorg.conf, as described in this howto [URL]. It works to the where I am trying to start the calibrate.sh script. When I start it, the X screen pops up, but in the console I get a message, that failed loading font '*-helvetica-*-12-*'. After that the calibration tool dies.
I've installed Fontmatrix. It deactivates fonts correctly, but when I try to reactivate them, it does not do so, and gives this error message: "Fontmatrix has been unable to load the font in file /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-liberation/LiberationMono-Bold.ttf. Please check missing files." It is still possible to reinstall them using Gnome Font Viewer. Does anyone know what to do about this?
I've just carried out an update and when I rebooted it won't let me passed the choose screen with Windows 7 or Ubuntu on it, I choose the Ubuntu and Error: unknown command - load font flashes for a second and then the machine reboots!I can't get any further into Ubuntu than that, any one have any ideas of how I can get back in????
On a number of sites I use PHP's snmpget() function, but now on all these I just get this error: PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/etc/php.d/snmp.so' - libnetsnmp.so.15: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0 PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function snmpget()
I have installed xmms player to listen mp3 music. Now when i am trying to open any mp3 file, Its is saying :
Gtk-WARNING **: Failed to load module "libgnomebreakpad.so": libgnomebreakpad.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Message: device: default
** WARNING **: Failed to open font: "-adobe-helvetica-bold-r-*-*-10-*". Sound card is already enabled, as when Linux Starts it play some default sound,
I've had Ubuntu 11.04 installed on my desktop since it's release. Up until an hour ago, it was working fine. I clicked on an update from the update manager, now booting into a graphical mode is completely broken, (the start-up load hangs at 'Check Battery State ... [0k]'). I restarted my computer, and booted into safe mode, and launched the terminal. This all works fine. I then typed :
Code: sudo gdm start into the command prompt, hoping that I would be able to start things manually. Instead, it spat out this: Code:
gdm-binary[230]: WARNING: Unable to load file '/etc/gdm/custom.conf'. No such file or directory. gdm-binary[230]: WARNING: Unable to find users : no seat-id found. gdm-binary[230]: WARNING: Gdm Display: display lasted 0.070467 seconds
The last line was printed about 8 times, with slightly different times, before it gave up and failed. Some information which might help, I have Gnome 2, Unity and KDE (not sure which version), installed. My graphics card is the GTX 275, and I have driver the Nvidia driver 275.21. So yeah, I think the update has gone and moved custom.conf somewhere, but I have no idea on how to fix it. I have a graphics programming assignment due on Friday and I would be eternally grateful if I could get this fixed well before then.
I've coma across a problem I have not been able to solve myself. Is there a function in the linux API similar to GetConsoleScreenBufferInfo() on Windows? refer to: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...=vs.85%29.aspx
I only need to get the current color settings of the active terminal.
1. How to use the the font in the application? Any code example? 2. How to install the font for linux? 3. How to make the installed font as the system default font? 4. How font/text is rendered in linux? Any inforamation about the font system in linux?
For the following compilation warning message I need to create some sample program in C for self study. Also I am looking for some good web link where all the C warnings are described.
1. Warning #47: incompatible redefinition of macro "entity" . Undefine macro before 2. Warning #167: argument of type is incompatible with parameter of type 3. Warning #175: subscript out of range
I used gtk_bin_get_child and gtk_widget_modify_font to change the font of GtkButton. They worked properly but when I added an image to the button, they do not work.I also want to change the font of GtkList widget, but I don't know how to do this. Please, answer the questions if you know and do not say your idea about my religious statement because we live in the free world and everyone can speek and write freely
The last time I got involved with printers and fonts, printers had tractors and ribbons and the only codes in use were ascii and ebcdic. So even if I could remember it would be out of date. I've written a C program that writes a text file. I want to print it. I run it through expand and send it to lp, but it comes out in an undesirable primitive font.
Once upon a time, one sent a string of commands to the printer telling it what font to use and what size, etc. I dont think this is done anymore, and if it is I dont remember how to do it. I assume programs embed in their output instructions in some common format which tell this stuff to the printer - in my case a HP1020. I've been looking on the search engines but I haven't found the magic words to find what I want. how to get my output formatted. If it involves some escape sequences in the file, maybe a pointer to a description of which does what?
I am trying to increase the font size in the evolution xml file to make the sub-menu easier to read (the menu with new, send/receive, reply, reply to all, forward) I found where the xml file is located but i can not seem to adjust the font. is there a different syntax for xml for changing font than html/css?
I am writing a program in C to create a GUI application using GTK 2. My actual program is quite large, so I am using a modified version of the sample program from GNOME library for trial. I wish to increase the font size, and I have using PangoFontDescription. I have made that section of the code bold and italic below for quick reference to the code that affects fonts. But it does not make any difference. I am compiling the C file using gcc. The code is as follows(hello.c):
I am trying to scroll text from a text file across a wx.panel. This is the code so far:
Code: def scrolling(self, text, rate): def scroll(): charList = [] dc = wx.ClientDC(self.panel_1) open_text = open(text, "rb") my_text = open_text.read() charList.append(my_text) open_text.close() x,y = self.panel_1.GetClientSizeTuple() while 1: for z in charList: for r in range(2000): dc.DrawText(z,x-r,0) time.sleep(rate) dc.Clear() net3 = threading.Thread(target=scroll) net3.setDaemon(1) net3.start()
It scrolls but I am guessing where the range is (2000). I need to be able to determine the total number of pixels that the text in the file is. Is there a python way to determine this?
I am writing a sample nasm program via terminal. It's a basic one ,it only demonstrates the usage of the zero and sign flags and print relevant message to the output. Here are the code:
Code:
SECTION .data; data section errMsg:db "Error !",10 errLen:equ $-errMsg zeroMsg: db "Zero flag",10 zeroLen: equ $-zeroMsg
I've just moved onfrom developing some code on Debian (gcc 4.1) to Ubuntu (gcc4.4) and a warning in my g++ code has appeared. Basically in some serial prot code I get this errorwarning: ignoring return value of 'ssize_t write(int, const void*, size_t)', declared with attribute warn_unused_resultfrom function
I'm trying to link 'aubio' (a lib) and its failing on one of ts dep's with this error.
Code:
$ make Making all in src make[1]: Entering directory `/home/John/Externals/aubio/aubio-0.3.2/src' make all-am
[code]....
"Warning: This system can not link to static lib archive /usr/local/lib/libff"
I've configured/make/make installed fftw and its doing just fine in the usr/lib folder, so I'm at a loss at how to fix this. Do I need to build fftw again using some kind of shared make switch? I couldn't find any referance about that.
I've just updated my linux system (Debian) and went to compile some code I'm working on. However it causes some problems, presumable because of GCC up dates. I get many of my subject line errors for example
../../common/Version_Control.cpp: In function int VersionControl(): ../../common/Version_Control.cpp:55: warning: deprecated conversion from string constant to char*
So I check up the error and it comes from my error handler code which is a function
