Jan 28, 2010I have a problem whit this plasmoid.If I add this plasmoid while amarok runs, It works correctly.But if I close Amarok e then I run it again, plasmoid doesn't work.

Apr 25, 2011openSUSE 11.4 64 bitsI have "sensors" package installed and configured with sensors-detect.The cpu temperature monitor plasmoid worked on kde 4.6.0 without problems but after installing 4.6.2 the monitor do not show any info.By running "sensor" from konsole I can see the temperature for both processors so it seems to be something related with the kde update

OpenSUSE :: Plasmoid Component Not Found Errors
Jan 26, 2010I had to reload my openSuSE 11.1 and reloaded KDE 4.3.4 from KDE Repositories and did an unconditional update on KDE Core and Community to ensure I got all the current versions back.
I am now having an issue with at least two plasmoids that is regularly used. When I attempt to add them to the desktop, I get the message "component not found". This happens to at least these two, yasp and yawp for system status and weather. It may happen to others, I haven't tried.
They are both loaded and both are present in /usr/share/kde4/services. I removed them using YaST, then rebooted, then re-added them, then rebooted and still get the same result, component not found.
OpenSUSE :: Eye Dropper Color Chooser Plasmoid?
Oct 1, 2010I'm just curious as to where I can find an Eye Dropper plasmoid for my KDE 4.4 Desktop. I'm pretty sure I had one installed and working a few weeks ago before I reinstalled, but I can't seem to find one anywhere.
So, do any of you have a link or anything to where I can find an Eye Dropper / Color Chooser plasmoid? It doesn't actually have to be a plasmoid, I just need one that isn't tied to a specific application.

Dec 6, 2010Every time I get an email, I receive a couple of notifications for that email and the notification sound plays twice as well. If I disable the notifications for gmail plasmoid, I don't get any notifications at all - which means that the double notifications are really triggered by gmail plasmoid.

May 15, 2011I had some difficulty getting Plasmoid to work on to connect to a WPA2-Enterprise Network. The Cert file is in DER format which is something like this "XXXX.cer" After I filed a bug report I got a respond to try the updated Plasmoid from this Repo:

2)sudo ln -s filename_of_certificate `openssl x509 -hash -noout -in filename_of_certificate`.0
3)Then after that when using Plasmoid to connect check the box use system certificate.
It should work like it worked for me but I still think certificate handling needs a lot of improvement.Pointing the cert directly from plasmoid does not work.
OpenSUSE :: Analog Clock Plasmoid Is Broken In Latest Update?
Feb 14, 2010I received an update yesterday and now my analog clock plasmoid is no longer functional. It's strange too because when I change a setting in the plasmoid, it'll magically come to life. I ran plasma-desktop in terminal to catch an error output, but nothing came up.

May 6, 2010I upgraded to OpenSuse 11.2 and just about the only thing that doesn't work is my wireless internet. From my research, I should be using the iwl4965 or iwlwifi driver; however my system seems to be running iwlagn. I have no idea how to switch it as neither of the correct drivers can be found in my yast, and I've failed to find any information about this on the IntelŪ Wireless WiFi Link drivers for Linux* website.

Mar 30, 2010As stated, NO USB functions, not at all, the light on the mouse is on, but it does not move on screen, the PS2 keyboard does not function either. Nothing that would allow you to install it, works at all. I am absolutely shocked not one single person on here has mentioned this.
The last time I tried OpenSuse was version 10, it installed without issue, I noted the installer as the nicest one in the Linux world I had seen to date, only to be utterly let down by this USB fumble.I have Legacy USB support, Legacy Keyboard and Legacy Mouse USB support on, that isn't the issue, and this didn't happen with 10 on the same system.

Feb 10, 2010I've created the GParted LiveUSB from what I found on the Ubuntu forum. Apparently the instructions given on GParted website doesn't work.
I essentially copied the necessary gparted files to my USB and then made it bootable using syslinux.
I've set the boot sequence properly to boot from my USB but it still doesn't do anything and just brings up the screen where I select my OSs (I have a dual-boot system with WinXP).
I don't have access to a CD-drive so will have to use the USB. Is there a different way to make the LiveUSB?

Mar 15, 2011It looks like the ocfs2console is broken on openSuse 11.4 64bit. I tested on several servers and my laptop. It works under 11.3 x86_64 but that uses Python 2.6. OpenSuse 11.4 uses Python 2.7.
I tried to submit a bug but I can't seem to get my email address verified so I can use the bug tracker.

Oct 10, 2009My CD drive is attached as secondary slave but it doesn't appear anywhere, eg. no /dev/hdd or /dev/cdrom. It is not listet in hwinfo either. I completely re-installed SuSE from network today, so it's the newest version. The drive always worked fine in SuSE 9.x and also booting the Network Setup CD worked properly.
May there be missing packages? What do I have to check next?

Mar 20, 2010I was having trouble with the sound of the wmv files on linux, but i solved it by coping the w32 dll libraries and now it works just fine. There is one problem though : whatever player i use to open and play a wmv file (mplayer, vlc), it doesn't fit the full screen - in windows the same movie DOES.

Mar 14, 2010It seems that there is no way for me to install java plugin in firefox 3.6. I've already read some threads about similar problems but none of the solutions that worked for other people work for me. So I decided to open a new thread. Following instructions of other threads, I uninstalled all java packages and installed again just the three that you can see below, but nothing changed.

OpenSUSE :: Network Reconnection After Disconnect Doesn't Work?
Apr 2, 2010The main thing preventing me from going Linux although I have it installed in a multi-boot is the probelm I have with Reconnecting the Network (eth0)
If I reboot everything is fine and I am automatically connected to internet via my Ethernet_NAT_router/Homeplug_PowerLine/Cable_Router (using DHCP)
But if I manually disconnect the Network using the tray icon, or through the terminal, when I reconnect the Network Manager says I am reconnected but actually I am not connected to the internet. I can load my Cable Routers configuration page but pages beyond that in the outside world are accessible no longer...
To regain access I have to reboot.
The reason this is important for me is that I reckon if I could get this sorted then if I put the laptop to sleep it will will wake up and reconnect.
As it is using Linux sleep function is unworkable unless I don't mind losing internet.
I am determined to get this sorted eventually as I feel sure there must be a solution. My laptop isn't new but is a good workhorse.
