I recently installed Deluge 1.2.0 from the following PPA:I using this on two different Linux computers. One is running Linux Mint 8 and the other is running Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.10. The first time on either computer when I enable WebUI in the Deluge GUI it works fine. However if I ever disable it in plugins section I am subsequently unable to re-enable it (doesn't appear in the side panel again). Rebooting or reinstalling Deluge seems to have no effect. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
I realize that gcc 3.3.3 is not the default compiler on RHEL5. But we have 10 million lines of code that we dont want to experiment with 4.1.2 . How can we get a pre-built binary of gcc 3.3.3 for RHEL5 ? As a backup I guess we pull down the source for 3.3.3 from the gnu site and build that using the 4.1.2 compiler .
I have to upgrade a live server from 5.1.6 to 5.2 PHP. I'm also running Zend and Pecl-memcache which will have to be upgraded also. I originally installed PHP via rpm and do not want to download source and compile php (if I do not have to). Can someone offer me ideas of the best way to perform the upgrade without having to pull my hair out and sweat bullets.
I've read about the remi repository and .. I'm not sure where to turn or which way to go - this sucks! why can't there be one proven method?

I am in the process of creating a RHEL5.4 custom iso image with minimal functionality. Have gone through a lot of articles over the net and it seems that there are no proper documentation of this process as most of the utilities earlier are not supported.
Following steps were performed :
1. Mount the RHEL5.4 DVD ISO and copied all contents including .discinfo[very important] to a temporary folder [/iso/MODIFIED_ISO/].
2. Edited comps-rhel5-server-core.xml [earlier comps.xml] under /iso/MODIFIED_ISO/Server/repodata under the root directory to only include necessary packages.
3. Removed the unnecessary rpm's from Server directory
4. Created metadata of modified packages, goto root directory of copied folder [in my case /iso/MODIFIED_ISO] and execute :
5. Create the iso :
After performing the above steps, I tested the iso on a virtual box, but checking the error console seems that there are some errors related to dependencies.
Have written a short script to check for the dependencies for the remaining rpm's, executing "rpm -qpR <RPMNAME>" for all rpm's on an already installed box. This would list all dependency packages.

Problem to install any release of gfortran on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Client release 5.6 (Tikanga) Tried searching on the web - no result. Tried "yum install libgfortran" - no result. Tried Installing gcc-gfortran from Fedora's rpm. - got paradoxes like:
I downloaded and extracted tightvnc-1.3-.10_unixsrc.tar.bz2. I have directory called vnc_unixsrc. I went into this directory and tried running xmkmf but got the kick back saying command not found. After doing some searching around looks like i need imake. So I ran yum install imake, installed imake. went back to my vnc_unixsrc directory and tried runnign xmkmf again (failed) did some more searching and looks like people recommended I reference the path to xmkmf. So, while I was in vnc_unixsrc I tried /usr/bin/xmkmf and I get:
This doesn't look right.... Lost here... should I try to execute make World next? or I do still need to figure out xmkmf first...
Under RHEL4, I've mounted a drive (/dev/sdb1) under /home and it mounts with no problem a boot time since I have an entry in /etc/fstab. Using the same parameters under RHEL5, /home is a 'read only' directory. I've tried to add a 'rw' option to /etc/fstab, but /home remains a 'read only' file system.
