I have a web access url list with some lines such as;

etc...
I want to get the unique domain list but sort and uniq does not help because there are multiple lines for same domain.
How to achieve this.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIn the office there is a local network with samba+openldap PDC. The local domain name is company.net. The company desided to create a corporate Website on a remote hosting and desided that the site's domain should be company.net which is same as local network's domain name. So now it is not possible to reach that corporate website from within the company's local network because, as I guess, bind9 which is installed on above menioned PDC looks for company.net on a local webserver. Is there a possibility to let people from this local network browse the remote site?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an old FC2 box running Squid version 2.5. It has been running since 2003 so I am in the process of replacing it. I have a new machine with FC11, iptables, and Squid 3.0 installed.
On the old machine I use iptables to intercept Port 80 traffic and send it to Squid. By default I block all internet access and allow only sites that are in an Allowed_Sites.txt file. Within Squid I also have statements to allow certain users to bypass Squid based on their IP address.
I have set up the same thing on the new box. I have iptables intercepting the Port 80 traffic and sending it to Squid. That is working because if I remove the redirect statement from iptables all internet access is blocked.
The problem I am having is that Squid is not blocking any websites. It acts like the ACL is set to http_access allow all. I have worked on this for several hours and am stumped.
These are my Squid rules:

View 12 Replies View RelatedI want to host 5 websites on my new virtual server so I have created 2 nameservers that point to my virtual server's IP addresses as a glue record. What confuses me is when I create a new domain on my server it gives the new domain it's own nameservers (ns1.thenewdomain.co.uk etc) do I need to change these records so they use the nameservers I created earlier? If I do? Which particular records should I change? I'm running a Unix virtual server with a Plesk control panel.

I am trying to use the network printers shared within my University's AD domain. In Windows XP, I simply went to 'run' and typed "\[domain]", then it asked for my ID and passwords and list of printers came up from which I could just pick and add to my printer list. How can this be achieved in Ubuntu 10.04?
What I tried:
System->Administration->printing->Add->Network Printer -> Windows printer via Samba -> Browse, then I see the domain but when I input my id, domain name and password, access is denied...

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've recently installed noip2 which installed fine. Except when I try connect to my noip domain it sends me to my router login page and won't let me access my ubuntu box. How can I set my noip domain so when I connect, it will allow me to access SSH, sabnzbd, etc., instead of forwarding me to the router login page. I'm sensing that I may have to set the ubuntu box to a static ip and forward the various ports of SSH, sabnzbd, etc to it. Would this be correct?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm managing a residential network. Each flat is its own subnet, and can only communicate with the other flats through a router (i.e. no broadcast). 95% of these 300 subnets only contains windows computers (from lambda users).
My final goal is to be able to browse the entire network from any computer.
I set up a samba server acting as a wins server, and every computer is aware of it because it is registered in the dhcp. So name resolution is working fine for everyone.
The same samba server is set to be the "Domain master browser":
workgroup = WORKGROUP
wins support = yes
prefered master = yes
local master = yes
domain master = yes
os level = 65
When I browse the network (using "net view" or "browstat view"), I can only see the servers which are in the same subnet as the domain master browser.
Now, when in a subnet the computers arrange themselves to find a "local master browser", the only visible computers are the one in that subnet.
What I don't understand is why all the local masters don't synchronize their lists with the domain master.
So, to sum up, every subnet get the following behaviour:
-if a local master is elected, the only visible computers are the one in the same subnet.
-if no local master is elected, the only visible computers are the one in the subnet of the domain master.
-if I add another samba, configured as a local master winning all elections, then the magic is working and the lists are synchronized.
What is expected:
-every computer can see all the computer from all the subnets.
I already join the domain but I have the map drive is based on the user name in windows server 2003. I map the drive on the user by batch file like map_file.bat and its on the group policy as log in scripts. So how can the user when he use PC1 see his own map drives and when he go to PC2 he see the same map drives and when other user sit on his computer will see other map drives. Its already working on Winxp as client but I want it to be the same on ubuntu.
In other word, more description Mike using PC1 can see map drive MAPDrive1 and MAPDrive2 and when Mike want to use PC2 and automatically can see MAPDrive1 and MAPDrive2 or any other PC he use .. he can see the same MAP1 and MAP2 ins same time jack if he use PC1 can see map drive MAPDrive3 and MAPDrive4 and when jack use PC2 he again can see MAPDrive3 and MAPDrive4.
I am using Unbunto desktop and installed "likewise open" so that my linux client can access windows active directory(join the domain). On server side i have windows 2003 server. On windows 2003 server in active directory i have assigned each user a disk space. I have sucessfully joined linux (ubunto) box to the active directory domain but my linux box has access ($ it can use) to all other user diskpace ( they can browse other users) and when i joined windows xp client with the same server it works properly( xp client cant access or use other diskpace)

View 4 Replies View RelatedHaving assorted problems accessing v11.3 update repositories. The issue appears to be either with IPv6 or my ancient 2Wire 1000SW router.
Last week, I replaced Ubuntu with openSUSE on this Dell laptop. When I couldn't access repositories initially, I turned off IPv6 in YaST, with no luck. Turning off IPv6 in Firefox did allow me to see opensuse.org and other otherwise unavailable sites.
I edited my primary/default repo list in YaST with IP addresses replacing DNS names with great success -- except for the non-OSS repo, which YaST couldn't find. Anyway, I had a successful update!
Now adding repos to the default set is the problem. When going to Add > Community Repositories, I get the "Unable to download list of repositories or no repositories defined" message. Trying to add Packman.unixheads.com either with named URL or with IP address doesn't work either (it was curious that when using the IP address, YaST still says it can't find Packman.unixheads.com).
When I read that Packman was converting all its servers to IPv6, just for grins I went back to YaST and Enabled IPv6 again. After a reboot, I tried adding Packman again. No luck, but suddenly editing the default openSUSE non-oss repo and entering the IP address WORKED!
One more data point: I tried using a few 1-click installations from the collection at opensuse-community.org. Most failed, but for some reason, I could add the NVIDIA repository!
While I think the simple solution is probably replacing the router I've had since 2004, I'd like to avoid that particular expense right now. I'll note that I never had a problem accessing (K)Ubuntu repositories.
I'm wondering if there's a zypper or YaST config file I can edit that might allow access to the Community Repo list (though the Packman experience is somewhat discouraging in that regard). Is there something weird going on with MirrorBrain too? Figuring out how to handle IPv6 might be relevant here too.
I have a shared folder that has it's access restricted to certain users on a file server at work. Currently when I try to add a user I follow this process:
Right click the Folder, go to Properties
Click the "Access Control List" tab
Select a user from the "Participants List"
Click Add
For most users this process works fine but with one of them I get the following error:
"Could not add ACL entry: Invalid Argument"
I also tried a script that a former employee created which seems to employ this command:
setfacl -m u:<USER>:rw- <PATH>
Running the command with the correct user and path returns a similar "Invalid Argument" error.
We're using OpenSuse 10.2.
