To download all its contents with all the files and subfolders and their files. Now, what should I do if I want to repeat this process again, a month later, and I don't want to download everything again, only add new/changed files?
Is it possible to configure yum so that it will download packages from repos using wget?Sometimes in some repos yum will give up and terminate for "no more mirrors to retry". But when use "wget -c" to download that file, it will be successful

So, by clicking 'Prelude a la nuit' I should be downloading the corresponding file (.mp3). But this does not happen. Instead, gxine opens. How can I change this undesirable behavior?
Should I modify something in the web browser? Or perhaps in the desktop environment? I did the following: in SeaMonkey, the web browser I use, I put the url 'about:plugins'. In the table that says "gxine starter plugin" I read audio/mpeg3 and audio/x-mpeg3. So, I went to Edit>Preferences>Helper Applications>New Type. Here I put MIME Type= audio/mpeg3, Extension= mp3. In the same dialog box, under 'When a file is encountered', I chose 'Save it to disk' and 'Always ask me before handling files of this type'. I did the same for audio/x-mpeg3.
I had set two 700MB links for download in firefox 3.6.3 by browser itself. can't seem to get my Linux AntiVirus Live update to download virus defs from my Windows Symantec Update Server?Windows workstations can update and download without a problem?When I run LiveUpdate from the side it errors out with "an error has occurred (code=-2,001)" Also, I'm not sure where the Linux defs are to be placed on my windows side for download from my linux workstations? I've found a couple good articles but everything I've tried hasn't fixed my problem? If I download the virus defs locally to each linux box I can update the virus defs without a problem, not a good option when I have several Linux boxes.

View 10 Replies View RelatedFirst I go to the following URL to download the latest version of VLC Player, which I greatly prefer to Totem or any other standard Linux video/audio player: http://www.fileguru.com/Movie-Player/download. After I click on the "Download" link, a new window appears which asks me if I want to 1) Open with Archive Manager (default) or 2) Save File. There is a drop down arrow next to the first choice which only gives "Other..." as the only other choice. Well, if I choose the first option, the download appears as an .exe file in the "Downloads" window.
A window with "Download Error" in its Title Bar appears with the following message in it: "/tmp/VLC_Player_Setup-3.exe could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences." I don't even know yet how to even open up an .exe file in Linux, despite repeated research.
Yesterday I run Getright from Wine launcher, and it downloaded files to the C:DOWNLOAD folder, which I can't find it.

The wget works okay, downloads all the files I need into the /Publisher path, and then it starts loading files from other paths. If you see [URL]..svn/trunk/modules/publisher , I only want those files, plus the paths and files beneath that URL.
When we download ubuntu iso images from the download mirrors, md5sums, sha1sums and sha256sums are provided for the download. But, there are also some .gpg files provided. Are they used to verify some signature or something? How do I use them to verify the signatures of the packages?

I configured apache for php as the manual said but for some reason it doesn't want to parse the php. the http.conf file may need to be changed, that the line "AddModule mod_php4.c" was missing in the conf, however the AddModule and ClearModuleList directives no longer exist in the newer versions of Apache. These directives were used to ensure that modules could be enabled in the correct order. The new Apache 2.0 API allows modules to explicitly specify their ordering, eliminating the need for these directives.
