Recently RHEL 6 Beta 2 released and I want to install it through kickstart but it stucked at one time while Re-initializing the disk partition. If I manually click on "Re-initialize All" it goes fine but I am in verse to ignore the message box and proceed automatically through kickstart. Anyone who have come across this issue?

I am in verse to compile a new kernel 2.6.34-rc5 on RHEL 6 Beta.I have been following [URL] for the same. how can i select all the options during :

I just saved it under .config and when I ran : make modules it threw errro saying "modules not included". So i want to select complete options during make xconfig.
I tested with RHEL6 Beta and they don't include pvscsi driver we use for Vmware ESX.We did asked them to include this driver with new RHEL 6 Beta 1 but they din't. Now we expect it to be shipped with RHEL 6 Beta 2. How can I track the same beforehand. Is there any repository where can I track whether they have plan to ship it or not?

I mounted the Rhel6 boot DVD, copied the files(recursively cp -r /mnt/dvd/ ~/myiso) to a directory ~/myiso
I then placed the ks.cfg on ~/myiso and ~/myiso/isolinux for good measure, as the documentation is not 100% clear on this.
I then try to make an iso out of ~/myiso but no luck in booting so far.
I've tried the following:

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use Skype beta on my acer aspire one with ubuntu 10.10. The video runs brilliantly and i can also here my wife from the other end but she cannot hear me. Apparently something is fishy with my mic input. I tried alsamixer and everything is in unmute. My alsa version is 1.0.23. The only think she hears is a loud hissing noise which is normally my bat voice but she doesnt need to know that. I can record my voice in the sound recorder but nothing comes out in Skype!

View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst off I am dual booting Windows 7. While in Win7 I have absolutely NO monitor issues. Since installing 10.04 I get a shaky unreadable display. To remedy the situation temporarily I have adjusted the resolution to 1200/800 but this is not a fix just a band aid. I should be able to run 1920/1080. As soon as I do this I get the shaky screen. I cannot change the refresh rate from 60 mhz. Again I am apprehensive by posting this because I have been flamed in other forums simply for being a noob and not knowing what to do but I would love to tap into the resources of you more experienced members.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running the great game "Capitalism Plus" w wine. This is really a Win-95 game but it runs fine under Wine (a big benefit of Linux, you can run those old Windows games again, which is impossible under WinXP...)
Anyway, here's the problem: The game runs only in 640x480. My monitor is a 22" widescreen 1920x1080. When I start Capitalism, the resolution changes to 640x480 which is fine. However, the refresh rate is 75Hz, which minimizes the actual / active screen to a small window in the middle of the monitor. (Not only for the game, but for the kde desktop.) When I set refresh rate to 60Hz (using krandrtray) everything is fine.
So here's the question: Is there any way I can create a bash-script that sets the refreshrate to 60Hz?
I'm running kde3.5, Debian Lenny on a AMD64 with ATI:s fglrx.
I am running a script with nohup and this generates a lot of logs.
In order to view the log I use tail -f nohup.out
The problem is that the info supplied by this command is not always the latest//sometimes I need to use the command again order to view the latest info added to the nohup.out file.

The symptom is that when I scroll down through the browser page, the content become gibberish and unreadable. I have to do a refresh to read that content.
I did some searching on the Internet and found that it may be able to fix by updating driver, but i have no idea what and how to do it. can someone suggest a solution? can i use yum?

I'm trying to do a red hat Advanced server 4 update 7 install using a kick start file on the network. The server with the kickstart file and dvd contents is on the same subnet as the server receiving the install. We have done it before in the past just fine using:linux nofb text ks=http://serverip/path at the boot/install screen. After that the ip address info is entered manually and the kickstart does its thing. When doing this with update 7, the install acts like a regular install. When i check the http access logs on the other server, it shows no access from the server receiving the install.I have tried adding an ip address to the install command. Such as:
