General :: Delete Specific Email In Mail Queue

My system have problem to route mail to our mail server, some mails store to mail queue, I use the command "mailq" have the below output, can advise if I want to delete a specific mail "ofdaf8fafag8sgfas", what can I do?

I have recently set up an ubuntu 10:04 based email server using postfix, clamav and squirrelmail. The setup works like a beast, much better than the old sco based system we were using. Anyway I work for a law firm, and we have use a bespoke case management system to complete work on cases. We have started a paperless office initiative. This means we are asking more and more clients and firms to correspond via email. This is where my troubles are kicking in. The governing body of solicitors in the UK is very picky, and we have to have certain formats and information in documents when sent out to clients, this is the same for emails.
I have a script that will cat the html header information, then cat the body of the email and finally cat the footer html information. The output of which is perfect and usable to the firm. My problem comes sending this file. The end of the script I have the following:
Code: mail -s $SUBJECT $CLIENTS_EMAIL < email.$$$ Pretty self explanatory. But when the email is sent from the mail queue its not delivered in html format but in plain text. Any email sent using outlook from any machine on the network can send and receive html email. How can I make this happen from the command line?

I've got a problem with my evolution here at work, which is running on a vanilla Ubuntu 10.10 install. Yesterday we received an email from a supplier with some tiff attachments. When this email is clicked on it freezes Evolution. The further problem is that I can't even browse into the inbox folder where it is since that email is the last thing that was highlighted. What is the best method for removing a single email from the Inbox? I thought about into the .evolution/mail folder, but I wasn't sure which files to modify to solve the problem.

When I click on the email, that's it - I have to end the Evolution process and go back in again. Definitely can't double click it, or right-click to delete or simply delete. It just freezes. I can't see any of the text of the email, but I can see that there is a .tiff attachment.I've poked around in the .evolution/ folders and can'tfind the right thing to delete to get rid of this specific email

Is there a way of allowing only certain domain to send e-mails to certain specific e-mail address. I am using Sendmail, and I have an alias which translate to certain members of staff within my organization. I don't expect e-mails from outside our domain to be sent to this alias e-mail address.

The Gnome Print Manager found the printer with no problems. The correct driver was available - so I installed it. The printer shows up when called by a print job I want to send. The queue pretends to process it. The queue states "completed." Then Nothing comes out of the printer. XP shows the print job as pending. Still nothing comes out of the printer. And I can't delete the job from the Ubuntu queue (because that lying SOB tells me the job is completed). I can't print from XP to that printer until I delete or cancel the Ubuntu job (from the XP queue) - or clear the XP print queue (by deleting spool files). Permissions on that printer are not an issue. Printing from Ubuntu to that printer worked OK on earlier versions of Ubuntu.

I have a server (RHEL 4.7) with an mqueue that keeps growing over a two or three day interval. Then I have to manually flush the queue by removing all the mail in the spool directory as the sendmail flush command doesn't work. I've looked at the mail queue manually with a sendmail -bp command and it seems to show an occaisional mail item in the queue. On the other hand, there seems to be a lot more non-legitimate emails in the queue spool. how do I find out the source of the email in the main queue? Next, how do I stop it from building the queue? Next, is there anyway to automatically flush the queue once it builds if I need to?

I use gmail for all of my emailing needs but stumbled upon linux counter at counter.li.org. Now I registered on the site and downloaded the machine-update script from the site. So I ran it and it collected the required data. But when I run ./machine-update -m as they have told, I guess no mail gets sent as I have to configure the mail program. How do I configure it so that it sends mail from my gmail address using stmp?

I am tired of managing local Address Books and Calendars. I use either POP or IMAP email accounts now and want to keep the email accounts I have. What is a good Mail Server I can setup to Let me use a Global Address Book and Shared Calendar System between Outlook 2003 and Evolution, but not create email accounts? In Other words I want a Local Server I can setup that does nothing but manage a Global Address Book and Calendars. I want to keep using POP and IMAP accounts for the email side of things.

Sendmail isn't sending mail for some reason and keeping it in the Queue. I attemped to flush them but it deferres the connection to the server in which it is trying to relay the message to. I have checked to see if there is a DNS error or anything like that. I attemped to flush the messages through webmin.

I am not finding anything in the logs to let me know their is an error. I can ping the mail servers that it is trying to send to. Now it has started delaying when ping MX servers. So I knew something was starting to mess with it. I have checked the /etc/hosts. It is correct. The server isn't black listed. Mail to root just gives me.

I recently install CentOS 5.5 on my small server. Unfortunately, I have problems with my mail configuration. I don't know anything about sendmail and dns configuration so I am just looking for something easy to set up. I use cron to perform automatic task. I set up the variable $MAILTO in cron to my regular mail. Cron send the mail but it is stuck in the queue.

i have a linux box at work that was configed by some that has left the company. we have an email add: e.g test@test.com, if you enter that mail add to a new email it then sends the mail to several email accounts the are on the server.i would like to remove and add new users onto that email address, is there anyone out there that can help?

I'm following [URL] to build a mail server running postfix virtual. The server is now running able to send and receive mails. But remote mail client 'Evolution' can't login the server to send/receive mails.

I have a server with a static IP that I use as a sendmail server. The problem is that port 25 is exposed. As a result, anybody can login to the SMTP server and send mail from my domain as a user that does not exist as well as email from other non-existant domains. I'm sure there are sendmail options that I can enable to do some checks, like if the user exists on that server or if the domain is the same on the server, etc. I was wondering if you guys can mention a few that I can add to my sendmail.mc file?
I have thought about auth login, the problem is if auth login is on my public port then I won't be able to receive email from gmail because it would be unauthenticated. Also, I only have 1 mail server. I know the ideal solution is to have 2 mail servers. One for outgoing mail/internal mail server where you can enable auth login and the other for incoming mail which just acts as the relay to the internal mail server. That way spammers can't login to send mail out. That's another question I had, how do I configure sendmail to only send email out/in?
Anyhow, so I have to make do with 1 mail server for now. So I decided to add a few rules on iptables. I grabbed the IP range that gmail uses when I receive mail from then and added it to my iptables with the following command.

Many folders within a subdirectory some of which have lots of data in and some of which have only one specific file called produkt.fil inside.I need a command to find and delete those folders that contain ONLY the file produkt.fil - if other files exist (doesnt matter what they are) then they should be left alone. Note: produkt.fil exists in all of the folders always.
