I live out in the middle of nowhere and can only access internet via tether. PDAnet doesn't work according to June Fabrics with Fedora yet, but they state that Bluetooth DUN is supported.
View 1 Repliesi have had my bluetooth keyboard and mouse working fine for a little while now, then one day.. seemingly out of the blue (no pun intended) it stopped. heres what i deduced:
Mouse works fine, always keyboard doesnt.
I'm using a logitech dinovo edge
and i can manually force the keyboard to connect by putting the keyboard into discoverable mode (press the button on the back of it) and using hidd:

but who the heck wants to do that on every reboot or resume from sleep! yikes..

I was in 2.6.38.-2-amd64 and it was upgraded to 2.6.39-2-amd64. After the upgrade, every reboot disables the bluetooth mouse. There is a message from the panel with a bluetooth icon

I push the buttons on my mouse and the button on the dongle to try and get them to pair, but, the dongle does not work. It is not scanning when I push the connect button.I unplug the usb dongle, and plug it in again, and this time I am able to pair them, and the mouse works. But, I have to do this every time I reboot which is a pain. I found that in the previous kernel, The Bloothtooh package is 4.91-1, but it has been upgrade to 4.91-2. So, this is creating the problem.
Im using a Sennheiser VMX100 one-ear headset and I try to pair it with my Ubuntu 11.04. But the bluetooth manager doesnt find it. What can I do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a liveusb running Fedora 11 on my hp laptop. I would like to use my T-Mobile Dash 3G unlimited data connection. I have seen many posts regarding wvdial, modem scripts, etc that are going a little over my head. I was able to connect my phone to the laptop, but when I tried to initiate internet sharing on the phone via Bluetooth PAN, nothing happened on the computer. I was connected but not able to do anything.
I saw some developer in a blog mention that he had put Bluetooth PAN support in Fedora 12. Is this not available in F11? Should I try moving to a F12 liveusb for this?
Has anybody had success getting a Tmobile 3G to work with F11?
I would rather use the USB connection so I could charge simulteously, but this looks a lot tricker.
I'm running Fedora12 on PS3 and try to use bluetooth keyboard of Apple Wireless Keyboard. bluetooth-properties command works fine and Apple Wireless Keyboard is found and paired correctly then registered. But I can not input any character when I type keyboard. It works file on other Fedora12 on x86 desktop PC. Do I need extra setup for PS3?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung N130 with a Realtek 8192 wifi card (possibly 8192e, I'm not sure) and I am trying to run Fedora 12 on it. I used to run Ubuntu until trying their latest beta and realizing it's not very good, so I looked for something else. Ubuntu was at least easy to get the wifi working with just a few quick commands that were written out, word for word, in order, on the Ubuntu forums. I tried openSUSE on here and it didn't have wifi working out of the box either but people on their forums refused to give me actual instructions and just kept bumping me from thread to thread with people giving vague advice or else just telling me I was looking in the wrong place. I'm hoping that someone can give me clear and detailed instructions on how to get this wifi card working. Keep in mind that I am coming from Ubuntu and so I'm not super comfortable in CLI, if I need to do some CL stuff I will need clear and detailed instructions on how to do that.

View 7 Replies View RelatedFedora (2.6.34.6-47.fc13.x86_64) I installed that update, during the installation process it said that it had to remove three packages, one of them was kmod nvidia for the old kernel (Fedora (2.6.33.8-149.fc13.x86_64))After the update finished installing the new kernel, I restarted the system and Nvidia did not load. (I assume because Update manager removed the old nvidia? But I also assumed that a new version would be installed automatically?)I received the following Boot messages:

I'm confused, if Update Manager removed kmod nvidia, then why does yum say it is installed? And why doesn't the new kernel update work with that version? Or should I install a driver version for that particular kernel? I've read while searching that I need to install a kmod-nvidia for that particual kernel version and that I should login to my previous kernel until that happens, is that the problem I'm having?
Why don't rpmfusion and fedoraproject release the kmod-nvidia and kernel updates at the same time to avoid problems such as this? Does anyone know how long does it usually take for rpmfusion to release the new kmod-nvidia driver for the latest kernel?
I just found it out now, after installed the skype and tried setup my web/audio on it, the webcam works fine but the mic doesn't work, so i went to the audio menu on fedora 14 and found it out the mic is dead.Someone had the same issue? Can someone let me know what can i do to fix that?

However, I cannot use the root account -no matter what I set the root password to, the system will not take it. I also have a couple of normal system users (not winbind), and no matter what I set their passwords to, I cannot login.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi just installed fedora 12 on my computer. installation went perfect, even tweaked it a little bit and everything works; except for flash player. i installed it by following some guide and i can watch videos vids and all, but sometimes the videos video player doesn't respond to my mouse. i can click on play/pause but it gives no response whatsoever; i can click on the sound but it gives no response whatsoever. sometimes it all works perfectly, but when i click on the next vid it suddenly doesn't respond anymore.

I can't download filelists or search while others can , i have tried to find similar problem and used their solutions but all was in vain, for instance a guy had similar problem and had recived advice to change incoming connections to firewall manual from active and give ip adress in external/wan (or something ) but it just didn't work even if no one is able to solve this problem , i would appreciate, if someone tells me what exactly is going wrong (or some definitive idea)...

I'm using debian lenny (5.0.4) on 3 different laptops, two fresh installs and one was installed with etch and then updated.In the one that has been updated pairing works without any problem, while in both the others it doesn't work.
