Jan 5, 2010My centos linux mailserver has crushed and does not allow any login form any user including root. I have managed to start it in single user mode but using vi editor, df command gives segmentation fault. I suspect the /var/* is full but I can neither remove any file/folder/mail/logs nor copy these to make a backup.Attempt to do this as single user/root is met with readonly files yet I have given full permissions to the files and the folders.

Jan 25, 2011I'm running ubuntu server 10.10 64 bit.
1. Set quota in /etc/fstab like this:
/dev/sdb1 /var/www reiserfs defaults,usrquota 0 2
2. Checked quotas:
# quotacheck -cavm
quotacheck: Your kernel probably supports journaled quota but you are not using it. Consider switching to journaled quota to avoid running quotacheck after an unclean shutdown.
3. Tried to activate quotas using "quotaon -a" and got a segmentation fault error.
When I change filesystem to ext3 (using mkfs.ext3 and changing /etc/fstab) it works well. So there are 2 problems, quotacheck warning about journaled quota and the segmentation fault error.

All my mail functions work great with SMTP and I can send and receive. My problem is that my recipients only receive mail from admin@domain instead of "My Website Name" Sounds simple enough, I know and I have made adjustments to class.phpmailer.php and have inserted my specific mail attributes for my site such as mail address, mail from, smtp server, user/pass for smtp,etc.PHP Mailer v5.0 class.phpmailer.php is a very long script and I only found a couple of places to put the FROM address as follows:

The panic_log shows: daemon: accept process fork failed: Cannot allocate memory several times over the course of a few minutes. Can anyone give me advice on troubleshooting this one?

So far I've installed Exim, SA, Dovecot, and Clam AV and those all seem to be working as they should, I can send and receive email...
I am now trying to set up Horde, Horde 4 to be exact, I have been following the documentation on the Horde site :[url]
Part 4, it is recommended to install certain PECL modules, and I would like these as well.
I have been try to get these to go, but just can't get past some of the error messages like this, for the first one:
Cannot find config.m4.
Make sure that you run '/usr/bin/phpize' in the top level source directory of the module
ERROR: `phpize' failed
Does any one know what this error mean. From what I can gather, it's looking for the phpize when the module is to be installed, however, how can I put the phpize file (or link) in the top level of the source directory before I have the source?

Mar 18, 2010I'm running Dovecot version dovecot-1.0.7 on CentOS 5.4. I'm trying to create subfolders and I can't. I've tried Mac's mail application and Thunderbird; they both come up with an error, basically saying that the server doesn't support level one folders(subfolders). Squirrelmail can't create subfolders neither. I did some reading and thought that perhaps the problem lies in the /etc/dovecot.conf file; specifically with the "mail_location" directive. I currently don't have that directive active which means Dovecot uses defaults settings: saving users' mail in the %u/mail folder. Is there any way to configure Dovecot to use subfolders?

I had made the entry of domain in /etc/mail/local-host-name and also I put ok in /etc/mail/access.The mails are working properly with in LAN. Mar 1, 2011I did fresh install of Slackware64 ver. 13.0 and immediately updated it to slackware-current by following the directions here: http://slackwiki.org/Upgrading_SlackwareSo far all is normal and functional except for xorg-server.When I did Xorg -configure under ver.13.0, it worked perfectly and detected my nvidia 8800 GTS vidcard and 1440 x 900 lcd monitor.However, after upgrading to "current" and xorg-server-1.9.4, I'm getting a segmentation fault and cannot configure a working xorg.conf.I've been searching xorg seg errors, but haven't found a solution yet.My /var/log/Xorg.0.log:
