thought to spend some of my rare spare time with playing games but: after downloading them, i cant find them anywhere. Searching with the name of the game gives me +20 results, but there doesn't seem to be one capable of launching the game. anyone knows how to deal with this?

This is our first time choosing and installing linux. Our other servers are all windows 2008 x64. We were told to install fedora 13. I can only find a download for the desktop version and we're looking for the SERVER x64 download. Could I please get a link?

I've tried DTA and Flashgot, they do the trick but not exactly a Flashget (Windows) equivalent.In Downloader For X, I can't get to download anything because of the additional slashes and numbers and stuff. For example, the URL [URL] becomes [URL]I checked the forums and it seems I'm not alone. There is even a working solution [URL]but the date is quite old (I'm using Lucid) and I couldn't find the main/addr.cc file .

I know the existence of download managers like d4x, wget, jdownloader, etc... but some downloads can only be done by browser. Similar is the case with upload speed. I have another computer with NO internet access with i386 architecture running Debian stable (Lenny).I want to download some packages for the i386 computer using the amd64 computer. So far, the only way I can see to do this is to use dpkg-architecture to temporarily change to i386 on the internet computer, run aptitude with the download-only option to retrieve the packages I need with all suitable dependencies, then switch the internet computer back over to amd64.
I can't imagine I'm the only person who ever needed to do this, and yet I've had no luck finding any advice. The method I described seems rather awkward - is there a more elegant solution?
I apologize to the membership, I realize now the absurdity of this subject. Having now studied the online repository search functions closer, I see it appears packages are automatically retrieved with all necessary dependencies. As such, it is not necessary to use apt and its various functions to do the job.
I use openSuse 11, 64 bit. I would like to install Java, but do not know how. I can find the Java-site, I can download to my hard disk, but I can't install.
