That means: A new Notebook gets about DHCP the Network-Information like IP-Adress etc.. When he now tries to open a Internet connection it should check if he's authenticated and if not he should get (if this try is from a browser) a login screen in http. It should also not be possible to have internetconnection without being logged in. The clients are Windoze, Mac and Linux. My question now. What programms/deamons are there for doing this authentication. Would you decide for another Programm instead of Squid?

- DocumentRoot is /var/www/htdocs
- The wiki is /var/www/htdocs/dokuwiki
So, this worked: [URL] Than I move to 10.04 Server... I transfer my web material into /var/www/htdocs, modify the default config in sites-availables and restart apache. What I now see:

I have a LAMP server configured. Yesterday, I had a test.php file displaying everything fine. I transferred some files over to the new server and now I can't connect to the test page, webmin, or phpmyadmin. I think it has something to do with Apache but Im not sure what to do next. I have restarted Apache, MySql and all services are running.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having problems listening to windows media streams from a particular website ( http://radiotime.com ) whenever I try to listen to a stream from firefox, the page loads then connects but i have no sound (i am actually trying to listen to those two chinese radios [URL].. I have the mplayerplug-in/gecko-mediaplayer installed, but it doesn't work, I tought that maybe there was a problem with that plugin so I deactivated it and installed the vlc plugin, after restarting firefox and trying to listen to those streams again, the vlc plugin tried to read it but it still would not work. I even tried to install the Silverlight Plug-In without any result, does anybody know what I could do to make windows media audio streams work ? it is wierd because i seem to be able to watch windows media video streams from other websites, but i cannot listen to any stream from this one, it used to work for mp3 streams only, but after desinstalling/resinstalling the mplayer plug in, it doesn't work anymore on this website. I can listen to those streams without any problem under windows 7, so the problem isn't coming from the website.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have fedora 11, and installed citrix ica client from the citrix website, but it does not seem to be working. Basically nothing happens instead of launching. I have also installed "terminal server client" (which does work except for the citrix ica connection part of it). In this program when you go to the option "Add connection", then there is an option that says "Citrix ICA connection". It used to be greyed out before I installed the citrix client from the citrix website. Now it is not greyed out but nothing happens when you click on it (also no error messages). I also tried going on the hard drive to '/usr/lib/ICAClient/wfica' and also to "/usr/lib/ICAClient/wfcmgr" and manually trying to launch those executable files but nothing happens there as well.

If I type that command the gui comes up and it's ready to run. I want this program to autostart with ubuntu, so I went into gnome-session-properties and put that command in there.
But it's not starting. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or if there's another way to autostart programs?
I'm running Ubuntu 10.10, and I installed the Watchtower Library 2010 and it won't work. I click on the icon and the mouse starts showing that it's loading, but that's all it does. I tried the exe file in the program folder. I tried in the wine folder, I checked for the iphlpapi.dll fake file and the so file. Still isn't working. I made sure I've got 1.3.14 version of wine. What else is there to try?

Well, turns out it should not have been recommended. I had restarted and all I got was a low res ubuntu logo and a boot right into a full screen terminal. Tried startx and got a no screens found, I look online for about an hour last night and decided to just reinstall, which takes a couple hours when installing all the packages.
I have done more research today and found to install the latest linux x64 driver from nVidias website, which I did, but it does not run. I followed some more instructions and it said to do a �sudo chmod +x <file>� which I did, and it starts to open and I get �You appear to be running an X server; please exit X before installing.�
I�m starting to get a little frustrated here, guess I�m just used to a lot of the ease of windows and assumed that something like installing a graphics card driver would be easy.
Basically, it is a Bluetooth scanner that is designed to do just one thing, scan for discoverable devices in range and record their MAC, name, and the time/date they were found to a log file. There are only a few options, it is pretty much a set it and forget it sort of thing. The only requirements are BlueZ (3.x or 4.x), and that your computer has a Bluetooth device that is supported by Linux.
Obviously you will also need at least one device to scan for, and the more the better. If you want to take a walk through your mall while running it and seeing what you found, I would be ecstatic. A word of warning, I am not a very good C programmer and I have no doubt that there are mistakes in the code and improvements that could be made.
