i need to prepare a presentation for that i have to copy a table from [URL] to my power point slide. but when i am copying it i am just getting a table with single column. is there a method to import the contents from web page table to my presentation table?

Would you export the presentation to flash (.swf file), then import it in a video editor (if so. which one?)?
Or would you rather export slides to individual pictures and import them one by one to a video editor (again, which one?)?
i just installed MS office 2007 in F14. the problem is MS office Presentation is not opening, its just crashes. MS word and excel is working fine wit no problem.

This was a problem I had on Arch linux and the fix was to change the locking options in the soffice script but I've tried that fix here and it doesn't work. I've seen a lot of discussions but they all go back to changing the locking options in soffice, has anyone got any alternative fixes or one that definitely works with locking?

Open Office works fine when I run the command "startx" in the Konsole but so far I haven't been able to configure it.
I am trying to open up a ppt presentation and with openoffice 3.2 I keep getting and error message saying that the versions are incompatible. Is there any software that is compatible with what I would assume is MS office 2010?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just found out about Libre Office. I am currently using Open Office on my Netbook (ubuntu 10.10), and NeoOffice on my Macbook (OS/X 10.6.7).
QUESTION: I have some backups using these formats: .sdw, and .odt. Can Libre Office read documents saved in these (StarOffice / Open Office) formats?
FWIW: I would have preferred to use OO on both machines, but unfortunately OO never fixed a problem with printing envelopes in the Macintosh version. Hence my use of NeoOffice.

Native being if I double clock on a .doc file it will start up LO's Write program instead of OO.Will just removing OO achieve this or is there an easier way? The data tables copied fine but the graphs did not. i made both in spreadsheet and copy pasted them over to a writer document.

The theme changed and instead of regular menus I get "window" menus, in the sense that they get effects as regular windows. It's hard to explain it.

Quite annoying.I am able to work around this by auto-hiding the panel, but would rather be ableo simply run the presentation without having to do so. View 14 Replies View RelatedI am on Lucid 10.04 with Nvidia 9600m (v195.36.24) My TV is 1280x720, my Laptop is 1600x900 (Closest setting to the TV is 1360x768 ). I plug my laptop to my tv via an HDMI cable. I press F1 to get into my presentation mode, and the tv shows most of the desktop, but not all of it. Is there any way to conveniently make it so it automatically sets it to 1280x720?

I'm vaguely remembering a video stream ripper that was open source and could be compiled for linux, mac, and windows. It's name ended with ++ and I can't remember anything else Basically, it was like StreamTransport but open source and multiprotocol capable. Can anybody help me find it again? View 1 Replies View RelatedI've made a lot of progress getting my easycap 2.0 usb capture device to work with ubuntu 10.10. I've got the picture up any everything works great. But about a minute into the stream it just freezes, I need to go into "playback" and either pause then play, or click "next", it then refreshes and works again for another minute or so. I'd believe it if someone says faulty hardware because the easycap is cheap, but I don't think that's the case. Additionally, is there any way to set VLC so that when I open it, it automatically opens with my video capture device (/dev/video0) so that I don't have to go into the options and change it every time?

Another thing as well. By default i have GNOME version. Just installed the KDE full package from synpatic. when i try to log in with kde manager same like the flash, it logs me out to welcome screen.
I recently installed VLC media Player and have been using it as the default application to view my video files.The audio files get opened in the Movie Player(the default one).But When I open the Video files in Movie Player ,The Colour gets distorted and all videos appear bluish in colour.Also the same thing happens when I open a video file in VLC after opening on the audio files in movie player (The colour gets distorted and appears bluish).
