However, I can watch other flash media else where, ....., guba, vemo, what ever.what sort of DRM-BS-Black Magic is going on here, and how do i get to be able to watch south park flash videos once again?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I've installed the flashplugin-nonfree package but for some reason flash refuses to work under Firefox. The libflashplayer.so is in the right folder and flash actually works under Chromium browser - just not Firefox.
I setup the system from a 10.04 32bit minimal CD could it just be a pakage I am missing that is causing flash not to work under Firefox? I've tried Firefox 3.6.x and 4.0 beta and flash fails in both.
I'm confused with Adobe Flash. I'm using 32-bit Ubuntu 10.10. Flash was working for me in Google Chrome 8.0.552.224 but not with Firefox 3.6.13. So, I tried to troubleshoot it myself. I searched for how to uninstall Flash and I found a link to a thread from 2008, [URL]. I quickly ran the code posted. And, of course, only after running the code did I bother to read the date the post was posted which was 2008. I did:

But, now the only place that file exists is:

After upgrading to Ubuntu 10.04 my USB flash disks no longer work properly. Some of them I cannot see at all. Others like my Kingston show up as Kingston & USB0 at the same time. I can see the files, but I cannot copy any files to the flash disk.
When I try to unmount I get a popup window saying:
If I try to eject or safely remove the disk by clicking on the Kingston icon, I get the following:
The only usb device that seems to work properly is my USB wireless dongle. My Samsung 1TB external drive works, but it appears as Samsung and USB1. If I click on Samsung, I cannot see anything. When I click on USB1, I see the files. This is a very annoying problem as I use my flash disks extensively.
I know 64 bit Flash has been a headache, but mine was working until yesterday. Symptoms began with it not working in Opera and Seamonkey. I checked the Adobe site and found what appears to be a later version, so I downloaded it, extracted it, then copied it to the relevant directories. That changed nothing at the time, but this morning it stopped working in Firefox as well.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to get my webcam microphone working in flash on Kubuntu 9.10.I have a Logitek Pro 9000, and video and audio work in other applications (skype), but video is all that works in flash (I have flash 10 installed). In the flash settings, it lists the only microphone option as "Linux Microphone", which does nothing. This seems to be a common problem, with a few solutions offered.
One I've tried, which seems fairly straightforward for gnome users, is here. However, whenever I run pavucontrol, I get an error reading "Connection failed: Connection refused".Does anyone know how to either get pulseaudio open, or how to get the microphone working in flash without it?
Whenever I try to watch a video on the internet half the buttons don't work. Some times i cant change the sound, sometimes i can't pause the video, sometimes i cant even play the video, etc. It is different for every video and different every time i refresh the page the video is on.
I found THIS LINK describing the exact problem I had. The first solution doesn't work because i am running 9.10 64 bit. When I tried to do the second solution this is the result:

Videos do play fine but I have noticed that pausing the video, replaying the video, or even skipping around in the video does not work. I may try downgrading firefox and see if it works.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi'm running on 64-bit 10.04, and i can't seem to get flash working; well, i can see videos on newgrounds, but not on videos. it keeps telling me to install the latest flash player, and even when i install it through synapticit never shows up in firefox's list of installed plugins. then when i try to install it through adobe's site using the apt url, it says that the package it's trying to install is virtual, and the installation fails. i've also tried gnash, but that doesn't play videos videos, and i tried to install swfdec, but that didn't show up in firefox's plugins either

Flash was working perfect until one of the last software updates. Now all I get is "The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed."

On some pages it will not load, and on others it will load but i can only see up until where it has been scrolled to when the page loads (for example if you can only see half of the player when the page loads up and you scroll down, only half of it will be there the other half will be black)

View 7 Replies View Relatedwhen i updated to 9.10, flash stopped working properly. essentially, it wouldn't accept any clicks. i could press spacebar to pause videos videos, but anything involving the mouse wouldn't work. "on hover" functions seem to work (the play/pause button glows when i hover the cursor over it), but the "on release" functions do nothing.
