I tried installing the Flash Player. And pasted the "libflashplayer.so" file inside /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins directory. But still I am not able to play any video. View 1 Replies View RelatedI've upgraded my system from opensuse 11.2 to opensuse 11.4. Everything went smooth except one problem.Firefox does not run the flash (i.e. ..... videos for example). The weird thing it detect the flashlibs. from aboutlugins:

I know this sounds a bit very basic but how do I install flashplayer on firefox , my issue is when I go to [URL] i get the following message "Hello, either you have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player." so I follow the link it downloads flash player and even install it but nothing seems to work in ..... or flash site .

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using RHEL4.4 ES with mozilla firefox 1.5.0.3. I am unable to load flash player. The instruction says locate the installation directory of mozilla. That I am unable to find. There is no such directory as /usr/lib/mozilla<version no> in my system. But /usr/lib/firefox<version no> directory is present. I tried by copying the lib.so file in the plugin directory of firefox, but it is not working. Please can some body guide me which version of flash player I should install and hoe to install.

However, when I want to see embedded movies, e.g. in my newspaper, or looking for a hotel, either I get the message : you have no flash plug-in installed, or I get a black screen with a cross in it.
Before that I tried to :

Tried installing flash player plugin, but Firefox says it can't install it. I installed manually, restarted firefox, but it still tells me I'm missing the plugin.

1. clearing the cache and the cookies.
2. installing the correct plug-ins for my system.
