From 2/3 days my evolution mail client is not working properly when i'm trying to send mail from it. In case mail receiving it has no problem but the problem is occurring when i'm trying to send mails with following error..Error: Welcome response error: Server busy, too many connectionsI'm using: Ubuntu 9.10, Evolution 2.28.1
am using qmail and have webmin, all is running smoothly, but i have users spamming other staff accounts. The question: How do I block a user from sending out mails but still able to receive mails. Just denying access to sending mails?if anyone can guide me to do it via terminal as well as webmin. Why webmin you ask, because I have tried it once it works but sadly it block both incoming and outgoing mails.
When I send mail via Evoultion it does seem to send ok but still the following error message comes up: Error while sending message. Failed to append to : Unknown error Appending to local 'Sent' folder instead. Not sure what's up with that but thought I would mention it.
Just upgraded to 10.10, evolution worked the first time but has not worked since. Have tried re installation but no joy. Starting for terminal shows:- (evolution:16876): Unique-DBus-WARNING **: Error while sending message: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. It was working in 10.04.
i have setup a mail sending server using which i am able to send mail to gmail's ids but when user is having yahoo or rediffmail mail id these mails are not getting delivered either these are blocked or bounced back. what should be done to send multiple mails. just to add more details, i am using sendmail to send these mass emails.
this is sasidhar. we are getting problems with sendmail. we have a site, when user registers we are sending a confirmation mail to user. The problem is some times it is not sending mails to users. The user accounts are valid. This is what I am getting reply to my mail
i'm using James on Cent OS 5.4. NOw we figured out, that our firewall changes the signed mails on the signing gateway, which is the Cent OS Server with James. So... the question ist, how do i configure James to send mails out directly... not passing it to the firewall?
Installed ubuntu stupidly on the same partition as win7 couldn't boot anymore ubuntu is it possible to access my evolution e-mails or even better to make my laptop boot ubuntu again tried already various rescue cd-s etc
I created three pop accounts in evolution. For jka-walgau.at my name, office and mobile. The first time everything ran ok (all new mails could be downloaded, and from each account mails could be send). After a day (iIset the computer up for a friend) there arent no new mails that come in (webinterface tells me there are new ones). SSL for pop and TLS for smtp were set. The problem is they are selfsigned certificates. The first time when I configured the accounts and clicked the button to test the authentication methods I got a warning (self signed) no button to add this cert permanently only a OK buttton and in the upper corner the (x) to close. How should I handle this problem.
I want to know that by default do we need to configure SMTP and POP3/IMAP sever for sending and receiving mails in Linux server and client machines or we can directly send and receive mails without configuring these mail servers?
I have a problem with the evolution mail client. I have created a privat PGP key. Now I'd like to attach my puplic key to a E-Mail in order xchange the puplic keys with friends.I'm not able to find a option like "attach my privat key".I also wasn't able to find a solution by searching the web
I have used Evolution for 5 years with no problems but it really makes a mess now. It keeps on copying or moving already sent messages to my Outbox, hence it keeps on sending mails again and again (and again). Is there a bug I should fix?Is there a (better) alternative for evolution?
So, I get e-mails from both POP3 and IMAP servers on my Evolution service but what bugs me is that I cannot open any links within the e-mails on a browser window when I click on them (like would normally happen when I go to my accounts individually on the internet). Is it because I use Firefox or a bug in Evolution?
I just finished setting up Evolution Mail. All my e-mails have been downloaded and it's working good. But then I logged in at mail.live.com and I all my mails were gone!I don't want my mails to store in my PC, no one knows when my hard drive will die or when will I do something stupid that leads to the complete anihilation of all my e-mails. I want them back to Windows Live's mail server.
Evolution Mail 2.22.3.1 - Debian Lenny 5.0.4I configured Evolution in my gmail account. I can send successfully emails to users but I cannot receive any emails
I reinstalled 11.2 yesterday (wiped / and kept /home). Now when I launch Evolution, it asks me to either create a new account, or to load an archive (which I don't think I have). Why can't it find my mails and calendar? It looks to me like everything is present in the .evolution folder in my home.
I am using CentOS, In Evolution mail, I was not able to send/receive my mails. When checked I found my Inbox exceeds 2.1 GB in size. I renamed my Inbox to Inbox.old and made a new Inbox in evolution. Now mail is working fine. but I want to get my old mails also. Is there any solution to get my mails back ? Also please tell me the cause of this problem
As the title says I have an IMAP-account and I want to use it via Evolution. I have the exact same settings on both Evolution and Thunderbird but only Thunderbird sees the mails (new/old), there are 139 messages.Evolution seen none. Nothing. I looked for IMAP-related problems concerning Evolution and one thread suggested something about Inbox-folder and it's location. I don't know if it's the solution, but I didn't find any luck trying different combos in Evolution's options.
I have a postfix mail server on ubuntu 10.04 lts behind a router. so all local users are fetching/sending mails through ms outlook using local IP. Sometimes when internet goes down and any mail send then it bounced back immediately saying domain not found. Can u please tell me how i configure to hold all mails in postfix server rather than bounce when internet fails and will pass through when restored the internet around 15-30 minutes?
Basically, I think my Internet crashed while sending an email via Evolution and now whenever I open Evolution, or try and receive any new email it just sits there sending this email - it reaches 100% so I can only assume it has actually sent the email.
There's a button to "Cancel the current mail operation" though it doesn't appear to be doing anything; the email is still being "sent" each time.
This would be pretty tedious for the guy I sent the email to.
how to hide an ip address while sending through evolution mail so the recipient cannot see the ip in the email header?
example below: I sent an email from evolution to my gmail account and I can see my real ip address in the mail header 80.x.x.x
Authentication-Results: mx.google.com; spf=neutral (google.com: is neither permitted nor denied by best guess record for domain of email@email.com) smtp.mail=email@email.com Received: from([80.x.x.x] helo=[192.168.1.6])
I can hide my ip using a proxy but what are the other ways of doing this?
I've started to get emails that would typically come from [URL] as [URL]. These emails come from services that send out emails (backup programs) directly, or from cronjobs. I've logged in as the non-root account and either sudo su - or su - to root and the restart the service at one point or another. If I login directly as root and bounce the service or cron the emails come across as from root. I don't see anything in my environment variables after I su to indicate what would cause this. I'm not sure where else to look? A pam setting? This seems to have happened between Fedora 10 and 14 (did a bunch of overdue upgrades recently) I've only got Fedora so I don't have anything to compare to. In Fedora 10 I did not have this problem.
i've got Evolution as an email client in Fedora 12.ve got only one IMAP account configured, which seems to be working OK. However, temporarily it is not sending emails. I write an email and hit send/receive and get error. "Error while sending message" ir seems that it is downloading messages, but not sending. There is a quick, but annoying solution to it: restart Evolution. As soon as it is restarted (close and ope the application) it is working OK for some time.
I am having alot of trouble setting up evolution to work with gmail. I am using pop for recieving mail and it's slow but still works. When I try to send mail with smtp.gmail.com I get the error message that the connection timed out. How can I set this up to send and recieve email?
