i have a little trouble using squid headers. i explain. i want that when a client do request from specific Url, like: [URL]... the squid automatically send post header like: [URL].. the goal is when client using the proxy server he will be automatically logged to the server. i dont know where to start. do i need to create my own header? if not how can i possibly send post data.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've seen that some guy here in this forum has installed Code_Aster and Salome-Meca on his Slackware. There is also a nice howto for installing CA on Slackware13 64bit. I already managed to install the two softwares and make them working without big troubles. I would like to create the slackware pakages from the sources in order to make easy uninstalling and upgrading the packages. Unfortunately I'm not so skilled, the installation procedure is a bit different from the usual one so I cannot start from some existing slackbuild. They must be installed launching a post_install.py script after uncompressing the archive. I'm unable to understand what this python script does but I think they are installed as a stand-alone programs with all the dependencies and configuration files in the destination folder. I wonder if you think it's worth to create the package and ask for some tips on how to do this.

Everything used to work fine but then the server ip changed and I can no longer access it with the web name and have to use the ip directly

For some odd reason, I cannot post on the ubuntu forum and the LinuxMint forum. Yea, I know.... the irony... I am using Mozilla and have tried Chromium, but that did not fix my problem. When I click on "submit" to post a thread, the page will just say "loading..." and nothing happens for a really long time. Does anyone know what is up? I tried posting on one other forum that I go to often and it seems to work out fine. I haven't tried any other forums though.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI tried to update the header files manually in the include folder, because I thought that I needed to have windows.h etc, but now nothing compiles and I get a good 80 errors for even hello world. I have tried removing g++ and all related packages, deleting the header files folder and reinstalling, but it reinstalls the broken files. Any way of restoring the originals without reinstalling ubuntu?

I then nuked the previous VMware tools install and started over with it again, but alas, no directory I try works (i.e. /usr/src/kernels/, /usr/src/kernels/2.6.31.5-127.fc12.i686/ and so forth).
I always wanted to get it installed on my old Dell Laptop and Fedora 13 is the first one that has actually worked.

For most part it decodes Source IP address correctly but sometimes the last part of the address is not correct. The destination ip address is always decoded correctly.

All goes well until I get to this -

When installing the vmware tools it says to just hit enter and the default will be used.
Hitting enter just keeps giving me the error message- The path "usr/src/linux/include" is not an existing directory.
Using the Sidewinder DNS, we get truncation now. 192.168.5.1 is our MS Active Directory DNS server. 192.168.1.1 is our Sidewinder - zones are replicated from AD to Sidewinder.

I know that I need kernel-devel package and I installed this yum install kernel-devel after that I have this /usr/src/kernels/2.6.32.26-175.fc12.i686/include/
Now when I run configuration it does not work
Does it mean that I need to update the kernel so that it matches to the kernel-devel module available in the net?
