General :: No Space Left On Device Error With Plenty Of Free INodes After Cross Compiler Setup

Jan 15, 2011

I have searched google for a couple of days, and I keep hearing about an INode limit on filesystems, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Now whenever I try to download something, watch a ..... video, or listen to Pandora radio, it just stops playing after 2 seconds. Downloading says "No space left on device".I also get the error as root.I do have 5% and more free of HDD space. After reading the similar posts I checked all of this, so if I am overlooking something on the forum, I apologize for an extra post about.

Software :: Build A C Compiler Without An Existing C Compiler?

Dec 14, 2010

So for those of you who has built GCC from source would know that you can't install GCC without an existing GCC. So my question is, what would happen if all computers in the world suddenly just died, and all you had was the computer in front of you, and a copy of GCC 4.5. How would you install that?

I ask because I would like to install GCC 4.5 on my old powerbook G4 mac without installing a binary GCC provided by Tiger 10.4 disks. I would like to build GCC from source, without an existing GCC to complicate updating.

Software :: Compiling Mod_auth_mysql Apache Module On ArchLinux?

Nov 2, 2010

I've never compiled/built/installed any Apache module before, and I just can't seem to get it working on ArchLinux. I got the source code from here: [URL] Then I tried doing this...

Code:

apxs -c -L/usr/lib/mysql -I/usr/include/mysql -lmysqlclient -lm -lz mod_auth_mysql.c

And I get this...

Quote:

/usr/share/apr-1/build/libtool --silent --mode=compile gcc -prefer-pic -march=x86-64 -mtune=generic -O2 -pipe -DLINU X=2 -D_REENTRANT -D_GNU_SOURCE -pthread -I/usr/include/httpd -I/usr/include/apr-1 -I/usr/include/apr-1 -I/usr/incl ude -I/usr/include/mysql -c -o mod_auth_mysql.lo mod_auth_mysql.c && touch mod_auth_mysql.slo mod_auth_mysql.c:591:2: error: expected expression before

[code]...

I would eventually like to modify the mod_auth_mysql.c source code so I can append a salt/padding to the end of the hashes (that mod_auth_mysql reads from the database), but I will be happy if I can just install the damn thing.

General :: Netbook Keyboard No Longer Working On Archlinux/fluxbox/ROX?

Aug 12, 2010

I installed Archlinux yesterday on my Aspire One netbook. I installed fluxbux window manager with the ROX file manager/desktop manager.Everything was working fine until I was walking through a guide to set up the Fn keysto use the keyboard hotkeys for changing the brightness and audio settings here: [URL]I used xmodmap to set additional short cuts. Every since, I can't use my keyboard when I run 'startx'. My laptop touch mouse is working but I noticed the cursor speed has slowed down drasticly since I input the above changes.

I tried putting in 'setxkbmap no' in my ~/.xinitrc, 'no' was the language which is set up in my /etc/X11/xorg.conf and was working before. I also reverted to a back-up of my xorg.conf which I had saved a few hours before, which also didn't work. What could the problem could be here? How can I ensure my keyboard is being properly initialise when I start up Xorg/fluxbox?

Then put Windows 7 CD, select it from rEFIT and install it. Similar, install ArchLinux just as I did for windows.

Then finally to install the GRUB, I issued the command $grub-install --root-directory=/mnt/arch - recheck /dev/sda3 (after mounting my /dev/sda3 to /mnt/arch).

This is the exact error and then it drops to recovery:

Error after typing exit:

I have tried rootfstype too. No success.
