I have RHEL Enterprise Linux 4.5 64 bit WS os on my machine. i want to install flash player on that machine. i have download flash player 10.1 from adobe site and nsrapper from redhat site but when i trying to install these rpm on the machine so many dependencies error showing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen system is playing a media ( e.g. sth.mp3 ) by a media player like Totem, then I open a browser and forward to a page that should play sounds, but everything is pretty normal except the sounds ( I mean there's no sound ).
When firstly open a browser to surf the pages. If there's sound played in the browser, I can't play a audio media in a standalone player ( e.g. Totem ) before I close the browser. But If there isn't any sound played in browser, the outside player will work normally.
The 2 situations happens between no matter Chrome or Firefox and a outside player. I guess there maybe a conflict between gstreamer and adobe flash player. But I am not sure what happened in my system.
I have installed ubuntu 9.10 64 bit. how can I install flash player? I only find ones for 32 bit.

i am running ubuntu 10.04 i installed ubuntu restricted extras, and i went on videos. although i can view the video, i can't click on pause, the volume controls, or seek through the video, or put it into fullscreen mode. i went into the software center and searched "adobe flash player", and it came up with adobe flash plugin 10. it doesn't have an "install" button on it, so i double-clicked it, and it said " sorry, 'adobe flash plugin 10' is not available for this type of computer (amd64)."

sudo apt-get Install flashplayerplugin-nonfree..It says that everything was installed, but when I go to ..... and other video sites, the flash player won't work.
Flash player won't work in my newly installed Fed 12 64.
libflashplayer.so is in /usr/lib/flash-plugin
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins contains a symlink to the file.
I thought maybe this was a permissions thing. I changed owner to me. No good. I read some other threads about clashes 32 bit/64 bit. Is this the problem? It worked fine before I had to do a new install.

Would I need to download the source for that and the slackbuild if its got one. I am having difficulty trying to download anything it says to select a mirror and go from there but how do you uncomment a mirror? I cant even update my computer. I am using slackware 13.1 64 bit.

That I am unable to find. There is no such directory as /usr/lib/mozilla<version no> in my system. But /usr/lib/firefox<version no> directory is present. I tried by copying the lib.so file in the plugin directory of firefox, but it is not working. Please can some body guide me which version of flash player I should install and hoe to install.

FireFox told me to upgrade Adobe Flash Player when I tried to view YouTune's videos, but after I tried twice to download (open directly) it from Adobe, it still didn't work.
The first time I opened 'YUM for Linux', then I tried again the '.rpm for Linux' file, all installed
automatically.
