In my F12 box, whenever I open ..... in firefox, it says either Java is disable OR install latest version of Adobe flash player. i am running ubuntu 10.04 i installed ubuntu restricted extras, and i went on videos. although i can view the video, i can't click on pause, the volume controls, or seek through the video, or put it into fullscreen mode. i went into the software center and searched "adobe flash player", and it came up with adobe flash plugin 10. it doesn't have an "install" button on it, so i double-clicked it, and it said " sorry, 'adobe flash plugin 10' is not available for this type of computer (amd64)."

I am trying to install Adobe Flash Player on my operating system, my vendor is Red Hat. Then, when I click the Dump File of where I archived the adobe flash player, it states "No Packages were given for installation".So Now it does not want to run itself on the kernel, but I also noticed that there is a "Adobe v10 Bug" right next to where the rpm package was archived. Is there something I might have overlooked?

It should be easy, but Adobe's page for Linux downloads has a choice of about five different downloads. I tried one and it gave me some files I don't know what to do with. I do already have Flash on my computer, which I got from the Ubuntu software centre, and it works for most things but some things tell me I need a newer version.

I just installed Fedora 11 on my Sony Vaio laptop. I couldn't stand Windows Vista any longer. I installed Fedora 11 just fine with no issues. But I seem to be having trouble installing programs such as Adobe Flash Player, Reader, Limewire, Java pluggin, etc. Everytime I try to install these, it says for example "Could not display "/home/blackout87gn/Download/jre-6u16-linux-i586-rpm.bin". This was for the Java file I downloaded. I made sure that all these files I downloaded were for Linux. So being the newb that I am, can someone point me in the right direction on how to install these applications? Also what does .rpm .bin .deb and .tar.gz represent?
My Fedora 10 is completely updated...But still my Firefox browser needs Adobe Flash player plugin to run internet videos...Although i clicked on install missing plugin but it was followed by a message of "failed to install use manual installation" after downloading the YUM package
