Red Hat :: Error - Make: *** [HelloWorld.o] Error 127 For Eclipse C++ ?
Jun 3, 2010
I have installed a copy Fedora core 10 with the Eclipse C++ CDT feature. I am getting the following error when I do a project build for the "HelloWorld.cpp" Eclipse sample program: make: *** [HelloWorld.o] error 127
I am somewhat certain it is caused by an improper or incomplete configuration of Eclipse C++ CDT. Can anyone provide detailed instructions for configuring the Eclipse C++ CDT?
I have googlled and get these commands to install extracted .tar.gz file such as ./configure, make and make install, after extraction it becomes a directory called eclipse. But when i giving these commands also i got error like this
I installed eclipse galileo a long time back and used pydev plug-in for development. i wanted to install the java plug-in for but could not install it. My friend gave me his eclipse folder (eclipse helios) which contained the java plug-ins, i thought copying those plug-ins to the /usr/lib/eclipse/plugins directory and assumed that it would work. though it did, but my eclipse galileo was now eclipse helios and took really very long time to startup. I completely removed the eclipse and other dependencies using synaptic. (also deleted all the plug-in files from the /usr/lib/elcipse/plugin directory). I reinstalled eclipse and now on starting eclipse i get the following error. the error msg tells me to view the error log file in the /usr/lib/eclipse/configuration/xxxxxx.log
Am Running 2.6.18 Redhat Linux in my system and i am getting this error Could not open "eclipse-linuxtools-helios-SR2-incubation-linux-gtk.tar.gz.part"
i am trying to add the ADT tools in my eclipse and this is the error mesage i am getting:""Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found. Software being installed: Android Development Tools 10.0.1.v201103111512-110841 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 10.0.1.v201103111512-110841)
It builds fine when I build from the command line ( make -f sample.mk).
However, it does not build when building from eclipse (which essentially calling the same makefile). The make output shows exactly the same as what I got from the command line build, except the last line showing
I'm trying to make some pages. For this I try to host them locally. However, when I have an error in my PHP code, the server shows an internal error 500 page and doesn't show on what line and what compile error it encountered. There is no such information in the error log either. What should I do about it, it's not really nice to comment all the lines and then try to uncomment them one by one. I've been googling for a while, but didn't find anything.. I forgot to mention, I;m using Fedora :P, the apache that came with it and mysql and php from the repository...
I recently updated eclipse 3.5.1.-27 I am getting the following error. No editor descriptor for id org.eclipse.jdt.ui.CompilationUnitEditor I am using sun jdk. I reinstalled it and tried to start. Same problem. When I try to open projects its not showing any java related things.
I get an error while compiling in Eclipse: *.o: file not recognized: File truncated I tried to remove all the .obj and .moc folders and make clean but can't solve the problem! Maybe I'm missing something here.
I coded a simple hello world program to see if I can get something to work on my own in Linux. I used the command "sudo g++ hello.cpp -o helloWorld" to build the executable. However when I am in the terminal (in the right path) and I type "helloWorld" or "sudo helloWorld" it does not run. I look over at google and it told me that I could be in the wrong directory (path) what I am not, or the file permissions could be set wrong. However I looked it up on google as well and I can't see nothing wrong with the file permissions. Hoping someone could lend a helping hand. These are the file permissions as received from "ls -l".
I wanted to use resin in eclipse helios, on my CentOs machine. So i added Resin (Java EE Web Profile) Server 4.0.19 in " Install new Software " in eclipse. It gave the following error.
Code: Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found. Software being installed: Resin (Java EE Web Profile) Server 4.0.19 (com.caucho.resin.eclipse.feature.group 4.0.19)Missing requirement: Resin (Java EE Web Profile) Server 4.0.19

I'm having trouble with Eclipse. after installing the plugin Color Theme, I will change the color Window > Preferences. The following error appears: Unhandled event loop exception No more handles [Unknown Mozilla path (MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME not set)]
I've been trying to install the latest version of Emacs from source but I'm running into a trouble. The commands "./configure" and "make" work just fine. However, when I run "sudo checkinstall" I get a message saying that makeinfo is missing:
Code: makeinfo is missing - cannot build manuals make: *** [info] Error 1 **** Installation failed. Aborting package creation. Cleaning up...OK Bye. What is Error 1
I need to flash my BIOS to get rid of an error: "Intel uCode loading error". On [URL] I have found a tutorial, that looks to be fine. I can even see in the comments, that somebody have done this with success from Ubuntu 9.04, the very same system, that I use. Nevertheless I cannot make this bootCD with my Ubuntu 9.04, as it doesn't know the loop option to mount the image.
In the tutorial it says: "Requirements for this step is that you have support for the vfat and loop file systems in the kernel. Or you can have those features compiled as modules. In the latter case you can load the modules before the next step, like this:
modprobe vfat modprobe loop"
loop doesn't seem to be present in my system, and the command modprobe loop returns an error that the module is not available. I tried to follow the tutorial anyway, but with no success. How can I get the module lopp? I also want to use it to make iso images bootsble from the harddisk.
I have installed it++ on suse11.2 I have downloaded an example project and everytime i try to "make"..error "/bin/sh: line 1: .dependencies: Permission denied" comes up.I have tried to run as root but this hangs on "checking dependencies" and gives no action.
I want to gave much details as possible. working directory (~/a1/shell) in the shell directory i have Makefile. also in the shell directory i have subdirectory's (obj, src, include)
My current Makefile
Quote:
#What needs to be built to make all files and dependencies
clean:
# End of Makefile
I wanted it so: all .o files are created in the obj subdirectory, and my application, sshell, is created in the shell directory.
I am getting this error when i run the make run: No rule to make target 'shell.h', needed by 'shutil.o'. stop
I have the newest version of opensuse dual booting on my computer because I will be writing and running some molecular simulation programs this year on a computer cluster at the university and the computers on the cluster are using eclipse and opensuse so I wanted to have these set up at home so I could work at home a bit.
Anyway, I downloaded the eclipse indigo IDE for c/c++ for linux of the eclipse website and extracted it to my home/user directory. Whenever I try to run a program in eclipse I get a "Binaries not found" error. I installed the c/c++ development tools in Yast and also installed gcc and make thru zypper in the terminal. What is causing this problem? I've looked on forums and tried to fix this for the last couple days and I feel like i've tried everything.
I cannot use cvs within eclipse to connect to the server, but when I use cvs in terminal everything works fine.
ERROR Message: Could not connect to :extssh:hongyang@bleong.ndslab.net:/var/cvsroot: CVS communication error: org.eclipse.team.internal.ccvs.ssh2.CVSSSH2ServerConnection$SSH2IOException: Network is unreachable Network is unreachable
If I have a hard-disk with Ubuntu fully installed on it and I want to - all of a sudden - use Windows XP, is it mandatory that I firstly format the hard-disk first? So far, I have used two versions of Windows XP; one of them is from a few years before the other. Both copies of Windows XP when in start-up from booting from CD are causing errors. One of them is a BSOD error (0x0000007B) and the next Windows CD is stopping and giving me an error with setupdd.sys (error code 4). Is it required that the hard-disk is formatted before you even put a Windows boot CD in?
after install slackware with gnome using gnome slack build it is work fine Except some thing :-
the volume it is not work and get this error ((The volume control did not find any elements and/or devices to control. This means either that you don't have the right GStreamer plugins installed, or that you don't have a sound card configured. You can remove the volume control from the panel by right-clicking the speaker icon on the panel and selecting "Remove From Panel" from the menu.
No volume control GStreamer plugins and/or devices found.)) and the System Monitor give me this error when i want check the state of memory and processor ((There was an error executing 'gnome-system-monitor': Failed to execute child process "gnome-system-monitor" (No such file or directory)) and the memory flash not work and give me this error ((Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied.))
I've installed eclipse and android manually at /opt. How do I make /opt/android writable by eclipse ? I don't want to chmod it to 777. Specifically I need to know the group eclipse belongs to.
I am on Ubuntu Lucid (updated till date). I am using Kernel Linux 2.6.32-24-generic Recently I am not being able to run Cheese (webcam tool). When run it is crashing. Upon starting it from prompt I noticed the following error : libv4lconvert: Error decompressing JPEG: fill_nbits error: need 2 more bits The program 'cheese' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.

I checked in Skype and there the webcam is working fine. I tried with Camorama but that always gives an error "Could not connect to /dev/video0, please check connections."
For some reason (hardware - I am guessing) the LiveCD does not boot on some laptops. The LiveCD worked well on my Dell Inspiron 1525 without any problems but my Fujitsu-Siemens refused to boot up. If you are trying to install or use F12 with the LiveCD ISO image burnt onto a CD on a laptop and fails with the following error:[drm:drm_mode_rmfb] *ERROR* tried to remove a fb that we didn't own Boot has failed, sleeping foreverthis workaround may work for you. Sometimes it will come up with another error about 'Root Device Not Found'
The workaround only works on a bootable USB key for some other reason, created with 'live-usb creator' and not a CD nor a LiveCD image on a USB created on a windows machine. I have tried them all.
I'm just learning to use Eclipse (have previously been a vim+make developer). I created the standard Hello World project following the tutorial. The program compiles fine, but if I build it again without cleaning the project, make aborts with a glibc double free message (pasted below). The same thing happens if I run make in the Debug directory outside eclipse. I don't know make well enough to figure out what the problem is, and to my mind Eclipse shouldn't be generating a buggy makefile anyway.
I've attached a tarfile of the project directory. Download the file and the following sequence of commands should show you the problem: tar xvzf HelloWorld.tar.gz && cd HelloWorld/Debug && make && make Also, if you think it would be worthwhile submitting a bugreport to the Fedora Eclipse dev team, let me know where I can do that and I'll be happy to.
I have followed the instructions to the letter and I have download the Android OS Source code as per instructions, and when says to run the "make" command, I get this output:
Code: hamish@hamish-laptop:~/mydroid$ make PLATFORM_VERSION_CODENAME=AOSP PLATFORM_VERSION=AOSP TARGET_PRODUCT=generic TARGET_BUILD_VARIANT=eng
