Browsing some websites I've found a code for online form where a user provides name, number, etc. Everything is created in html/javascript. I'm just wondering whether it's possible to collect this input and present it in a database form so that I'd be able to see who's provided data and all the details they entered.Actually, it doesn't have to be a proper database (it would probably require php/mysql). It could be a weekly/monthly report (a text file) of people who provided details. The website is hosted by a third party company.This is an html bit:

I have created a database which stores students grades for different stages of a project. One of the stages of the project is the specification part. I have a simple bit of html code which is going to be used as the searching facility. I want the user to be able to enter their ID and then it will display only their results. At the moment, it is displaying the results for EVERY student because I cant seem to find the correct syntax for my statement.

At the moment when i click the button, no matter what I enter every students marks appear on the screen.
I think, but obviously dont know for sure because if i did i would know how to solve the problem, the code that i need to change is in green.
I've setup a CentOS apache web server, and loaded a site onto it. The site previously was functioning under windows xp (before I "stepped in") and wamp. What I did was copy the site in /var/www, reconfigure the httpd.conf (DocumentRoot /var/www/site, etc). Although when I try to open the webpage I get this error: Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:The MySQL adapter "mysql" is not available.

I have a MySQL database running on my local server, which I currently access via laptop, desktop using HTML/PHP.I want to re-write in HTML5, I have gone through a couple of HTML5 tutorials but cannot figure out the database interface. The best match I can find is Server-Sent Events, is this the best way forward? What about writing to the database? I have found several suggestions using Web SQL database but I don't think this is suitable as my database is also accessed from Python code on the server.

But there is a LOT of data (thousands of columns) which would take too long to enter manually. I'm sure MySQL must have a file format whereby a single large file containing different data types can be successfully automatically imported and the various data elements distributed to their intended fields. Does anyone know which characters MySQL uses as field seperators for this formatting of data, or is there a program already written which can take raw data and organize it into a SQL compatible file?

Also, the CSV file is updates every few hours and I need to load any new data from the file to the database without creating duplicates of data that has already been loaded to the database.

I have installed Mysql in Ubuntu 9, for the use of roundcube database.After installing iam getting the error like this

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to block unappropriated sites on my ubuntu 11.04 with openDNS I installed it and in addithion to the catagoriegs I checked I also added some sites to the always block list, everything according to the site should work. But the problem is that nothing is blocked (also the sites in the always block list). I cleared the browsers cache but it didn't help when i try to clear the local cache with the provided command in their site I think it says it ignored my network.
About firefox,I want to block images only on facebook automatically so I added [URL] to the always block list in the images category and it should work but it just won't block the images. I should note that I use the same method on chrome and there it work like a charm. how to get that working on firefox?
Is there any way to filter the output of a command based on the values on the output columns. For example i execute du -h on directory with many files. Now I want to filter the output based on the size (i.e. M or G or K ). The filtered o/p should contain only M(megabytes) or G(gigabytes) and also all columns.

My existing MySQL database is running on 11.1. I plan to do a fresh install of 11.3 in order to utilize the trimming feature for SSD drives. How should I install my MySQL database to the new version? Do I perform a backup then restore to the new install? Or can I just save the mysql db files to a cd and somehow attach it to the new install?

Really nice, I can do some php programming on my girlfriend's windows7 laptop without installing anything on it.I also have a LAMP environnement on my linux computer.When I plug my usb stick on my linux box, I can easily mount -o bind /usbstick/wwwfolder ~/public_html and work on my php script from there.
But my question is, is there a way I could get the database from my usb stick's MySql server, to run on my linux MySql server? So I can modify data base schema from my Linux workstation, doing some INSERTS in some tables, and then plub my usb stick on the laptop and get my up-to-date database running from the portable environnement?I don't know where / how MySql stores its databases. Basically, I want to "mount" the database from the usb stick in my Linux' installed MySql server, without extracting and importing the data, so there is just ONE database used for BOTH environnement.
I posted a thread regarding a CD Base Application. I can run the program, but for some reason It does not seem to work properly.
For some reason in exits the program back to the command prompt. I am using the code from Linux programming 4th edition which you can get it from here...and in the folder ch08/app you will find all you need to create the CD database application.
