May 4, 2010Is there any repo where we can find KDE 4.4.3 packages?We have used to get the latest stable KDE at the day of release (that means today for KDE 4.4.3).

OpenSUSE :: Removing A Repo - Error "can't Find The Data For The 'problem' Repo"
Nov 20, 2010I wasn't paying proper attention when adding a repo to yast and need to find the file were the info is saved to delete this. The problem is that whenever i use yast it comes up with an error code saying that it can't find the data for the 'problem' repo. Have tried zypper rm but that comes up with a similar error advising that the data is in a format that was not expected. My thinking is to track the file were the yast repo source details are saved, delete this and then just add the repos that i use back.

Apr 10, 2010I'm new to opensuse, just installed 11.2 and added the packman repository to the software repositories list, and now when i open the yast software manager there are about a dozen selected packages to install, mostly related to multimedia like ffmpeg ,faac,faad and python-beanutils. I didn't want that, why does it happen? and how can i disable it?

If I disable the repo-non-oss repository the update works fine. The URL I have for the repo-non-oss repository is:

This has been going on for over a week. Do I need to use a different URL for the non-oss repository? I live in New York, United States.

Mar 10, 2010I downloaded OpenSUSE 11.2 x86. Recordered,ran. I selected language (polish) and chose "Install" (originally "instaluj ). Installer booted, but I can't install because "linuxrc" was ran. Linuxrc can't find install disk, repo. I'll install with local DVD-RAM drive.

Fedora Installation :: Update Media's Repo Information To Reflect Some Of Updated Packages
May 13, 2011I am creating custom install media using the Fedora Core 14 DVD as a base and I have gathered all of the packages and their dependencies I require using the yumdownloader command.I made sure to download the @core group along with the ones listed above. The problem I'm running into is that I don't know how to update the media's repo information to reflect some of the updated packages I have downloaded. So when I go to install on the device, it's saying it can't read/open a certain package and you can see that it's looking for an older version because I'm guessing its repo is telling anaconda that this is the specific version to look for. I'm looking for a way to "update" the repo found on the installation media.

CentOS 5 Networking :: No Hostname - Cannot Find Valid BaseURL For Repo
May 12, 2011I have a server running centos 5 located in a datacenter. I am setting it up as a web server but haven't bothered to move the domain from my current registrar to the server as there are a lot of things I need to get done before that. I am having a problem where I couldn't install httpd. So i tried some of the basic fixes i knew as far as yum clean all and checking that my /etc/resolv.conf was ok. I have the two nameservers I am using listed there but I have no hostname set because I simply dont have the domain transferred or anything like that yet. Is that the reason I am having these issues. I installed the system with a network install fine about a month ago so im not sure why I am having problems now.When i try to ping centos.org I get an unknown host www.centos.org error. I tried changing the resolv.conf to have localhost as the hostname and I still have the same issues. I havent made any changes to anything that would potentially cause this.
My etc/resolv.conf looks like this:

nameserver 12.34.567.8
nameserver 12.34.566.8
Also it seems the problem may have got worse after yum clean-all because before that when I would try 'yum install httpd' it would show the files and filesizes and ask to install, when I would select yes It would give an error showing it could not find the fastestmirror. Now it doesn't give any file size or files or an option to approve the install. It just responds with an error saying it could not retrieve mirrorlist

Jun 24, 2010I did the UPGRADE from Karmic Koala to Lucid, and everything was going well. But now I've been having problems with the UBUNTU UPDATE tool for the last 2 weeks. Every time I try to do an update check on the packages, I get the following message:Failed to fetch http:[url]....Release Unable to find expected entry deb-src/binary-i386/Packages in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?)
Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.I've tried changing the servers to MAIN and others, and still no way to solve it. I've also checked for other posts, but haven't found a solution yet. Dec 18, 2009I have been playing with Fedora for about a week and half. I installed Fedora 12 from a live CD that I created with the ISO I downloaded.
Since installing it I have enabled RPM Fusion for codecs, also installed a couple of rpms from ATRPMS by temporarily enabling it.
What puzzles me is that I have a large number of packages that yum tells me came from rawhide, yet I never enabled rawhide.
You will see below my list of repos. I am attaching the full list of packages installed.

Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: rpmfusion-free-updates
So this tells me the servers are down however if i put the link in FF I don't get 404.I am installing on a new box and I can't get the stuff I need.
