kernel: Northbridge Error, node 2<0>K8 ECC error."
After replacing all of the memory, the error remained, so we tried updating to the latest kernel. (Currently having to use centos-plus because we are using XFS)
After the kernel update the error disappeared fro 5 days (previously UNHEARD of - would often repeat several times a day), it appeared again and hasn't appeared since.
It does not seem like any real damage is done here - and I would like to suppress this error somehow. Optimally I would like it to only be forwarded to the log files - and NOT be displayed on the console.
Could someone point me to an easy way to set that up?

I am able to access this directory via localhost/projects as the URI in my web browser; I see a listing of all the separate directories and I am able to click on each directory and see its contents.

I have default, default-ssl and projects in my /etc/apache2/sites-available directory. I haven't changed these files since I first created them. I haven't changed the permissions on any of the directories within /home/user/projects since I first set this up.
What can I do to access this directory from the address bar of a browser again?
I have been having some issues with the browsers, I use firefox and I have noticed that many of the websites I visit don't display correctly. I have attached some examples..not all sites display like that but many do.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using the "Beginning PHP5, Apache, MySQL Web Development" book from WROX to teach myself these processes. I'm a retired programmer and trying to keep my brain active. I've been able to get through most of the process and get things to work. But getting a picture upload and then display it is killing me. The picture is moved from the initial directory and placed in the destination but will not show on the web page, I get a place holder and all the information about the picture, but no pic. The MySQL is processing all the database stuff .I haven't a clue what is not working, Firefox, Apache or what. I'm running Fedora 14.

since a few updates of Opera, I'm experiencing very choppy scrolling, which is hugely annoying. It looks as if the page were chopped up and only pieces of it were scrolling, with parts of the former content still displayed. Now this happens generally during normal usage, with nothing but the browser running. CPU usage is thus minimal. The effect can be circumvented for a few seconds if I force the browser to scroll a large part of the screen at once (using the cursor keys), which has the effect of displaying the chopped immage as a still for a second, after which scrolling is perfectly fine.
This looks as though it was an issue of the processor speed being deregulated; alas, /proc/cpuinfo states both cores to be at their minimum speed in either circumstances. I'm not switching to Firefox, Opera is the only non-free piece of software I've come to love.
I'm using fedora 14. And I have installed apache, PHP and MySQL. I tried testing PHP with phpinfo(). But when I view it view my browser (localhost/test.php) it just shows the code itself instead of displaying the phpinfo page. This is the content of my test.php page.

Just installed gscan2pdf 0.9.20 on Ubuntu 10.04. It is hooked up to a Brother MFC 240c scanner. Scans fine with xsane. It also scans fine with gscan2pdf. I started with a document I printed to my laser printer - B&W at 300 dpi. GOCR produced very poor results. I switched to Tesseract and the OCR was 100% Then I tried to scan the document I was actually interested in converting to a searchable PDF. NOTHING! The only differences I see between the two documents are as follows:
- document 2 has an image (State seal) at the top
- document 2 has various sizes of type
- document 2 has a signature in ink
I would have expected the program to at least OCR some of the document. It should have been able to find SOME text. I have tried increasing the resolution of the scan to 400 then 600 dpi. No help. Set it to 1200 dpi - still waiting for the OCR to run.
I have two things to ask.
1) I have set a large image as nautilus background. How can i prevent it from scrolling down when the filelist is long?
2) I have two drives, one a 200GB partition on my notebook drive and a 250GB portable drive where I store Data. Both are NTFS filesystems.
I want to defrag them. using Wine, changing them to ext and defragging over the network. If there are any programs that can run on my system and defrag, please let me know.
I am trying to figure out how to get EPS image support for a Gnome image browser, in particular Eye of Gnome (EOG) -- the default image viewer in Gnome. In Nautilus, thumbnails appear fine for EPS images, but when opening them in Eye of Gnome or gThumb, neither program can open the images. EOG says "unsupported file format", and gThumb shows a blank screen. Apparently both programs can get additional image support, but I can't seem to get it to work.
I have ghostscript updated to the latest version, and I'm using Fedora 10.
Anybody know how to do this?

I am working on ns2 for my new project. I have successfully installed ns2 on fedora 8 but whenever I try to run in wireless example it does not display the scenario in nam window. I suspect that the sluggishness is due to disk activity since the CPU usage is consistently under 50% on each of the 4 cores of the CPU, and over 30% of the 6GB of RAM are free.
Is there a tool that can show me in real time the number of disk IO operations per second and the amount of data read/written per second? Can all this info be broken down and displayed per process?
I have a server laptop sitting around at home which is a pretty bland server, on which I generally leave the lid open and there is a login prompt always displayed.
However, I'd love to be able to display useful information on /dev/tty1 so whilst the server is just sitting there, rather than displaying a login prompt on the monitor, it could now display, for example, the current time and weather forecast for the day. Or something along those lines.
I compiled the buildroot for zImage and rootfs.jffs2 for SMDK6410. Used the linux kernel 2.6.35 and busybox 1.17. And deployed these two images using DNW. The kernel and rootfs loaded successfully and able to do execute linux commands from DNW but not from LCD screen. I am new to the linux development and want to see a sample framebuffer / desktop application on the screen.

I did the yum install and I found this helpful link...However when I try to change the dir it puts the info into, it keeps giveing me an error cannot cd to the directory. I changed the /etc/webalizer.conf file as described in the above article and try to run it manually same results. /etc/cron.daily/00webalizer Error: Can't change directory to /home/webalizer/When I put the original dir back in the path it writes to /var/www not /var/www/output like it should. I even tried a local /var/wwww/output dir. Then I tried a link to /home/webalizer/output (a dir I created) and same results.(with orginal .cfg in place)I go to my www page remote or on the local network I get page not found errors.In summary.1. Why wont the /etc/webalizer.cf file allow me to change the location of the files?2. How do I display the www page to view the data?3. How can I secure the www page so only I can view the data.

I was compiling an application called Audacious. One of the dependent packages I needed to obtain was called Glib. After installing Glib (and a package it also required), my GNOME began failing and after rebooting the computer, the login GNOME login screen fails to displaying. Does anyone know what's gone wrong?
