Aug 17, 2010I doing malloc and getting the chunk of dynamic memory. Now I want it to align that memory to 64KB. This means that the address of the memory starts from 64KB or multiple of 64KB.

May 3, 2011ince Ubuntu 11.04 the "LANG" environment variable keeps getting overruled somewhere. The result is that the date notation in the indicator area and the GRUB boot menu is in a different language compared to the rest.At login I have selected the language en_GB, the same language is at the top in the "Language support" dialog. However, I have set my "Regional format" to "nl_NL".When I check "env" in the terminal LANG is set to "nl_NL" as well.I tried forcing it to "en_GB" by adding "LANG=en_GB" in "/etc/environment" but this did not help.

server asks client name and password if authenticated , a connection is established . and if client is new can also register its name
I have done it using files but its not working when asks for user name it searches a file with that username if a file is found and password with same as username it opens the username file check for the string if it matches with the string login is ok

Feb 7, 2010The first is Mp3 which is no problem for Ubuntu. The second is WMP, also no problem. The third format is WMA, which uses an Overdrive Media Console designed to run in Windows. This has stumped me. I was hoping to run it in Wine, but the media console refuses to download into Ubuntu. Then I tried downloading the audio file straight into Ubuntu. What I get is a text file in some programing language, parts of which are in readable english describing the book and lines of code refering actual audio files(HTML tags?).So Can anybody tell me how to play WMA audio books in Ubuntu. The rest of the media is installed and works perfectly.

I also tried jar uf, which is also not working for me Basically my jar file requires to update date, which i do from "winrar" Manual it works fine, but now to remove "Donkey work", i want to make an script which does this all automatically, and the last stage is to update jar file which is not happening.

Jun 22, 2010There's a folder on my Linux desktop which shouldn't exist. The first time I saw it, I thought I'd accidentally copied it from somewhere else, so I deleted it. Now it's back again. So it must have been automatically created by some process, but what can I do to figure out which program is creating it? I think it's likely that if I delete the folder it'll eventually be created again, so I should be able to catch this program in the act if anyone can suggest a technique for doing so. By the way, there are no files in this mystery folder, and its name is the same as another folder I created months ago to hold my personal documents, not something that a program would create to hold its own configuration files or the like.

Now my problm is, how can I use that partition or how can I save files or install applications on it? I tried creating a File system mkfs.ext3 /dev/sdb1, and I also mounted it,but when I copy files on the directory where I mounted it, it says "Permission Denied". I dont know if Im doing it correctly though

It's not an option to clone the HDD again, I know how to do it if I had only cloned the single partition by itself. I hope it's still possible with the current image.
