General :: Microsoft Outlook To KOrganizer?

Oct 15, 2010

I'm looking for the outlook2vcal tool but all the links I've found send me to out of date sites or I get an Error 404 message. Does anybody know where I can download this tool or if not any tool that will convert my Outlook calendar into a format that I can import into KOrganizer.

Software :: Dovecot SSL Microsoft Outlook Express?

Nov 26, 2009

When I log in with shell It connects and reads the SSL on port 993. The problem is when I use SSL for the email client it gets the error on the email side and it doesn't work. Out going mail on the postfix works, and also incoming and outgoing on my actual server works. I have one email set up there for testing. I am really confused. This is not a self signed SSL either. I tried to create a dovecot.pem but it won't work. How do I create the dovecot.pem for a non-self signed SSL?

here is the path:

ssl_cert_file = /path/to/mail_domain_com.crt
ssl_key_file = /path/to/private/mail.domain.com.key

It should be:

ssl_cert_file = /path/to/dovecot/certs/dovecot.pem
ssl_key_file = /path/to/dovecot/certs/private/dovecot.pem

When I try to use the mkcert.sh it doesn't put the files in the places it should go. I did edit both the mkcert.sh and the dovecot-openssl.cnf.

OpenSUSE :: Import Old Calender Into Korganizer?

Feb 15, 2010

I just installed openSuse 11.2 with kde4 and want to import my data into korganizer. I saved my tasks and dates from kde3 as a vcs file.

Unfortunately the new version of korganizer does not show any entries in this file. I thought vcs is a valid import/export format.

Is there a way how I can import my data into korganizer?

Fedora :: Korganizer To-Do Opening Crashes Xorg With ATI / AMD Catalyst Driver - Fatal Server Error

Dec 8, 2010

I had an earlier thread with wrong title and wasn't sure of the problem at the time. Now I have some details after checking all the threads about catalyst so posting a new thread. The problem: In korganizer (or To-Do list in kontact), whenever double-clicking or right-click->Edit.. a To-Do item in the summary list window, it crashes Xorg.

[Code]...

Fatal server error: Caught signal 11 (Segmentation fault). Server aborting I think it has something to do with the amd/ati catalyst driver and korganizer. My video card is XFX Radeon HD5670. I have Fedora 14 x86_64 latest update with xorg 1.9.1-3. I tried catalyst 10.9, 10.10, 10.11, and kernel 2.6.35.6-45.fc14.x86_64, 2.6.35.6-48.fc14.x86_64, 2.6.35.9-64.fc14.x86_64. Same problem.

If I use vesa driver, or from another PC with proprietary nvidia driver, no problem. Open source radeon driver works ok but sometimes the display turns off and I can't get back the display. And I need 3D. I scoured through the forum and followed the instructions exactly:

Is there any Linux software that fetches emails from let's say 3-d party imap server (ex imap.gmail.com) and allows you to access it in nice format through web interface.

So - if I run my own LAMP server I could just type in my ip address and access emails/calendars.

I guess something like Outlook Web Access but free and for Linux?

Is that what Zimbra is?

General :: Postfix 2.0.16 On Redhat Enterprise 3.0AS Does Not Deliver Mail To Outlook

Mar 16, 2011

I am a first timer in setting up a mail server. As I heard that Postfix is a very simple mail server to configure I decided to use it on the same server where we have our squid. It seems that it is really simple enough because immediately after configuring,I can send and receive internal e-mails and send external emails. As I replied to the external emails that I received myself I found out that all of them just landed on the mail queue and this is where my problem starts. I cannot make Postfix deliver the messages to my outlook mailbox. By the way, I am sending the emails the through outlook also.

General :: Transparent Squid - Iptables Syntax And Unable To Use Outlook To Access SMTP And POP3

Feb 10, 2011

I've set up Ubuntu 9.04 (desktop) at home in a lab environment (workgroup rather than domain) and have configured Squid. Everything works fine but, when I took it to the next level and made the proxy transparent, my problems began. I can still access sites (having pointed the XP Pro client to the squid box as the DG) and the sites are logged in /var/log/squid/access.log but I am unable to use Outlook to access my SMTP and POP3. I guess that the setup is blocking ports 25 and 110 and I'll need to configure iptables to forward packets destined for these ports directly to the "real" DG, rather than the Squid box. Here's the set up:

A single NIC (eth0) on 172.19.0.250 / 16 (static) ADSL router ("real" DG) on 172.19.0.1 I executed iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -i eth0 -p tcp --dport 80 -j REDIRECT --to-port 3128 My squid.conf:

Code:
acl all src all
acl manager proto cache_object
acl localhost src 127.0.0.1/32
acl to_localhost dst 127.0.0.0/8
acl localnet src 10.0.0.0/8# RFC1918 possible internal network

General :: Joining An Ubuntu VM To Microsoft AD And DNS

Oct 27, 2010

So here's what I'm after:

Create Ubuntu inside Virtualbox (done) Join it to the domain using net ads join -S example.com -u admin (done) Update the DNS using net ads dns register (done) Be able to visit the netbios name as defined in smb.conf (lets call it Bob). [Not done]

The problem I am having is that it looks like, even though the machine is now on the AD, and I can browse users in the AD, etc... My network configuration (IP/route tables, etc) are not correct.

For example, my AD server is in the 172 IP range, while BOB is sitting at 10.0.2.15.

The DNS server stores Bob's value as 10.0.2.15, so when I ping it from my workstation at 172, I end up getting no response (obviously it's on a different net).

Bob's route table is configured to deal with 10... range of IP, rather than 172.

I have attempted doing commands such as ifconfig eht0 172.16.1.118 netmask 255.255.255.0 and even editing the route tables, but that then makes outbound network traffic imposable.

Would it be better to try to install the very latest wary puppy linux, or to try to upgrade the seamonkey onto the 3.o puppy. Also I am using a version of puppy that was labled puppy-celeron, believing that the celeron processor in this old gateway essential 500 might match up with the driver selections on that particular disk.

General :: Microsoft Install Via Wine - INF Driver?

Apr 10, 2011

I'm still a bit green at Linux - not enough that the terminal scares me, but I still need to figure out with my 'networking' which programs do what. I'm still newly switched from Windows (though I've had a love affair with Linux live OSes for everytime I'm in between Windows OSes) and finally made the switch to Ubuntu. I have Wine installed for windows programs, and recently got a bit frustrated with OO Base, and went to install Microsoft Access (which I have training with) and while trying to figure out my install, Wine tells me it doesn't have any programs that read the 'autorun.inf' file. A little google fu tells me I kinda need an .inf reader for autorunning cds, dvds and the like. Anyone know where I can get the file? I tried to go through the Windows site and get the drivers downloaded for it, but I've hit a dead end.
