I'm trying to install php-xmlrpc on CentOS 5.5 and is not working, i downloaded the rpm, and tried to install:

Then i check for php-common:

I have the following function on my xmlrpc server side.
The registration of this function is done as follows from the main function:
The above function makes the server segfault some where on the return path and client gets the response:
Here is what GDB shows when server segfaults....
However if I remove the line "xmlrpc_strfree (node_name);" then server does not segfault and client receives the response correctly. In the xmlrpc-c code it clearly says " Return the string in newly malloc'ed storage that Caller must free." in xmlrpc_data.c::xmlrpc_read_string() which is the function that gets called from xmlrpc_parse_value().
I have been trying to install the isolinux dvd that I burnt but keep getting the follwing response:isolinux:disk error 32, AX=42C0, Drive 9F.In fact I burnt 3 disks and they all give the same response.

I have networking set up and the Centos 5 is a host to a Windows XP guest using VMware. I am trying to get the server to act as a print server and know next to nothing about Linux. Can anyone walk me through the process please? I have downloaded CUPS-1.4.1-source.tar.bz2 and CUPS-1.4.1-source.tar.gz but do not know how to install things on Centos (or anything but Windows). i have a server which i have no physical access to, all i can do is boot in rescue mode from a live debian CD and i want to know of a way to install CentOS from iso image or maybe NFS? on that server using this debian live CD.
since it's live CD i can't mount the iso image and boot from it cos after reboot nothing will be preserved. so the case in breif is, i am booted form debian live cd and i want to install CentOS on the machine from that system using iso image

View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to learn a few things about CentOS so I decided to install it on my laptop, Windows 7 is already installed on it and there is no CD/DVD drive so I though that I could just create a new partition and mount the CentOS image and install it ... but I don't even see an .exe file so I guess this is not the right way to do it
(Yeah I'm a complete Linux noob, I know that CentOS is not the most user friendly OS but it's really the one I need to learn)
