Fedora :: Libcrypto.so.10 Dependency Error When Upgrading To VirtualBox 3.1

I'm currently running VB 3.0.10 on Fedora 12 64 bit.
When I attempt to upgrade my current install to 3.1 I get the following:
I am somewhat puzzled as this is a upgrade from a stable installed version. I have confirmed I have libcrypto.so.8 . . . from what I can tell its part of the openssl package but I've got the most current so I don't know how to obtain the libcrypto.so.10 file to correct this issue.
0509-036 Cannot load program /usr//bin/ssh because of the following errors: 0509-150 Dependent module /homepath/server/bin/libcrypto.a(libcrypto.so.0.9.8) could not be loaded. 0509-153 File /homepath/server/bin/libcrypto.a is not an archive or the file could not be read properly. 0509-026 System error: Cannot run a file that does not have a valid format.
I've been trying to upgrade my installation for some time now and just can't quite get it right. I would upgrade from the DVD but the installer hangs when it says "Looking for installation images on CD device /dev/sr0". However, that's not really my question. I've resorted to the upgrade instructions as found at [URL]. If I don't use the '--skip-broken' option it complains about the following:

I can't seem to remedy this problem. There were other conflicts but I just removed those packages. When I attempt to remove 'cryptsetup-luks' it then tells me it's going to remove something like 200 others which did not sound like a good idea.
today opensuse 11.4 introduce Firefox 5 update to me (my current version is ff4) but when i click on "apply" to install it, the following error report appeared: a package dependency could not be found, Details: patch:firefox50-upgrade-4806.noarch conflicts with MozillaFirefox-branding-openSUSE.i586 < 5.0-.3.1 provided by MozillaFirefox-branding-openSUSE-5.0-2.1.i586
I am running Fedora 13 and have VirtualBox 3.2 installed. I see in yum list that VirtualBox-4.0.i686 is available but apparently I do not get updated to this version running yum update. How can I update to VirtualBox-4.0.i686 ? I uninstalled 3.2 and simply installed 4.02 and everything worked fine. Previous virtual machines are compatible and still work as before.
I have a virtual machine on VirtualBox.I had Fedora 11, all was well.I ran the "preupgrade" tool. It downloaded all successfully, it asked me to reboot.On reboot, it installed everything as it should. It finished by saying it was installed successfully and asked me to reboot one last time.Now when I start it, some text flashes rapidly on the screen. Then it stops.See attached file for screenshot of the last text shown.
On F11 I very often used gftp. Now, after upgrading from F11 to F12 gftp gives the message that it needs libcrypto.so.8. When I try to install it by using yum, there's no such package available. Also, I find that I'm not the only one having this problem. Anyone an idea on how to solve this?
I seem to have a "small" problem with this error that I am given when try to update my Fedora 11 install using the command:

Last night I was updating my system and I ran into some dependency errors. It seems like gecko-libs is having problems. here are my yum update results.

I get this missing dependency: Error: Missing Dependency: python(abi) = 2.3 I've tried to find this, but can find only references to it in past versions of Fedora (<9). I'm running F11.

i have fedora12 and have been noticing that on a few programs (xvidcap, nALFS; just to name a couple) anyways these programs when i go to install they will come up with a missing dependency error and so i'll go hunt them down and install them and i am told that they are already installed...so what is the deal...any ideas. should i just go for a reinstall of the whole system?

I am not having a lot of good fortune with Xfce, this time. The LiveCD had a kernal error, and after doing an install, the update chokes on dependency errors. I tried unchecking the problem update files, but then I ended up in a loop that I couldn't find what else was causing these problems. This doesn't seem to be a big problem listed in this forum, so how do I resolve this?
I cant install vlc player or other media players in my fedora 11 .Every time it shows the dependency errors. Any media player get from the fedora yum server.
I have Fedora 6 & 10.3. Both DVD's will install the default partitioning (LVM) with either the normal programs or the custom selection. I wish to custom create my own partitions (about6 or7) with EXT3 format. The drive is112Gb. and I am only using about 30Gb. in total, giving approx. 80 Gb free. However after checking for dependencies the error message comes back 'Insuffient free space' every time. This happens on another M/board and/or Drive combination.

I want to upgrade my 32bit Fedora from 11 to 13 version. I tried both options: via preupgrade tool and via installation media (DVD). Both options failed with following Anaconda error at the beginning of installation process:
I switched to terminal, and discovered that size of this file is 0.
I downloaded installation DVD from official torrent, so checksum was autmatically checked. Verification test at the beginnig of installation was also successfully passed. So media is OK. Moreover, I also tried to upgrade via preupgrade tool with the same results.

I have Ubuntu Jaunty & Linux Multimedia Studio 0.4.2. In attempt to update to LMMS 0.4.5, I downloaded & attempted to install : lmms_0.4.5~ppa-1jaunty_i386.deb and got the following error message : Error : Dependency is not satisfiable : lmms-common (=0.4.5~ppa-1jaunty). What went wrong and is there an easier way to update ? Also, should I remove the older version or just install the latest on top of it ?
