downgrade also does not work. I just updated F12 to F13 using DVD and this occured. Also prevents me from doing "full" yum system update, these packages always fail. I do not understand the problem, it says that perl-libs 5.10.1-112 requires perl-libs 5.10.1-112, but I have that installed.

I'm having some perl problems while using yum update... I recently upgraded to 5.3 and have the latest MailScanner.. I do not want to have to remove perl because it will remove a bunch of other things along with it.
I'm trying to install Dell Openmanage, which requires sblim-sfcb.Normally this wouldn't be a problem but it requires LWP::UserAgent to be installed. However there are no RPMs for LWP::UserAgent. There are RPMs for perl-libwww-perl-5.805-1.1.1.noarch.rpm, which people say should work. However yum doesn't see anything with libwww as an option so that won't work either.Running CentOS 5.5
Note: I do have LWP::UserAgent installed via cpan, however the RPM won't compile without the actual LWP::UserAgent RPM installed.

I get this missing dependency: Error: Missing Dependency: python(abi) = 2.3 I've tried to find this, but can find only references to it in past versions of Fedora (<9). I'm running F11.
I (or rather, the Yum auto-update) try to update the TeXLive on my FC11 machine but the update fails due to 'missing dependency', spitting out
Missing Dependency: libpoppler.so.4()(64bit) is needed by package texlive-2007-46.fc11.x86_64 (updates)
And strangely now (perhaps for a combination of reasons) I cannot use my auctex. I would like to finish this update anyway, and tried to find libpoppler.so.4 separately, which I haven't yet been able to locate. Poppler itself is installed and updated, and I do see libpoppler.so.5 in my system. So where would I find libpoppler.so.4 on its own? Or should I perhaps downgrade poppler?
I've tried to upgrade from Fedora 11 to 12 in a workstation by following the related steps in the documentation. However; in the step 'yum upgrade' I'm getting the following problem:

i have fedora12 and have been noticing that on a few programs (xvidcap, nALFS; just to name a couple) anyways these programs when i go to install they will come up with a missing dependency error and so i'll go hunt them down and install them and i am told that they are already installed...so what is the deal...any ideas. should i just go for a reinstall of the whole system?

i wanted to install screenlets under fedora 11 but python wont let me, is there a way to do it i keep getting the Python(abi) dependency missing message I've tryed both 32 and the 64 bits version, even the noarch i found here with no results at all

I am running Fedora 12 64-bit on a MacBookPro5,1 system. After two weeks of not running Fedora on the system, I boot into it and check for updates with Yum Extender. The problem is that yum is refusing to install gcc on a new SL6 install. As far as I can make out, a security update that I applied prior to my attempt to install gcc has caused problems. I did a new SL6 install (x86_86) a couple of weeks ago. This was a minimal installation, and I didn't install any dev tools, as I intended to install them later from yum. Since then, I've done very little; I installed a few packages (samba, xemacs, etc), and I let the system update itself. The update installed 'kernel', and updated 'kernel-firmware' [URL]. I now need to install the dev tools (g++, and so on), but I can't. I've tried this from gpk-application, and directly from yum. The complete yum output is below, but the basic error is:
