I noticed in an MP3 I have that various media players will detect and display an image embedded in the file. Is there any way to edit or remove the image out of an MP3 file? and what's the proper name for this image file in an MP3.

Now the image is still shown in Virtual Media Manager but the remove and release options are greyed out.Is there a way to get rid of the image shown in Virtual Media Manager?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI can't get Evolution to send any sort of embedded image.I've tried in the body embedded images, signatures, multiple image formats, both the exchange connector and the mapi connector, etc without any luck. EVERY time, evolution strips out the IMG SRC tag contents. Before sending it, I can view the email and the embedded image shows up fine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have embedded a video into one of my website's pages but when I go to the page, using Firefox, the video, which plays automatically, has no controls for play, pause, stop etc which means you have to exit the page to stop the video (if you don't want to watch at the time) It is also the same where it is uploaded to [URL] or Hideho Takagawa When viewing through either Seamonkey, Opera or even Konqueror the controls are visible on both places. here's the embedding code I used.

Edit: I've actually found the solution, I had more than one mozilla plugin installed and as soon as I left myself with the gecko plug in everything works fine
I am running Linux from a DVD, not installed. I am not good with installing software, but since the DVD cannot be corrupted, I am content to operate this way. Lately, I have been having problems that previously did not occur. When I try to click on the checkbox to get rid of emails, it doesn't register in most cases, or when it does, I am clicking multiple times so it registers twice, meaning it is unchecked again. Even more frustrating is some issues that are affecting my ability to update my business. I am trying to modify spreadsheets (text not calculations).
Whenever I try to click & drag to select something to change, it keeps jumping around to select only some of what I want, something else or some combination of the 2. When I try to copy and paste several fields from 1 column to another, everything from the several fields in the source column ends up together in the last field in the target column. I am also trying to download some images from a website. There is a single column of links to the images. I have to click on the link to get to the image in order to copy it, then back out to continue looking for more links to do the same.
My computer keeps jumping back 2 steps, then forward 2 steps, and sometimes I lose my place in that list. I could deal with it if it were a small number of links, but this is a list of probably close to 20,000 links. Again, i am operating off of a live DVD so this should not be corruptible, but this has just started happening, and has been an issue the last several sessions.
using the update maneger to update on ubuntu new linux images available 2.6.31-17 generic and after the download is complete both images exist in the grub menu should i remove them ? or just remove them from the boot menu ? and if so how could i do each.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just recently installed F13 with Thunderbird 3.0.4 and Firefox 3.6.3 and have noticed that when I click on an embedded web link in a message that it no longer switches app windows to FireFox. On F12 if I did the above the focus would switch to Firefox once a new tab was opened and the site was accessed. Now the focus remains on the message and the tab for Firefox on the bottom panel just flashes. Is there a way to get the old behaviour back? I've checked both apps preferences as well as gnome's preferred apps but nothing changes. I am using the same profile folders from F12 as well as all of my app settings in /home.

convert *png output.pdf
The problem with this is that each image is then stretched to fit on one page, whereas I would like to keep the original dimensions of the images and put as many as possible on one page in the PDF file before moving on to another page.
Everytime I open Konqueror, it opens in "Embedded Text Editor" mode . So if I open it then click on a bookmark, it opens in edit mode. I can select View->View Mode->khtml and then the page displays properly. If I click on a link from that page, it displays properly. If I open a new tab, it is back to edit mode. If I open konqueror from konsole, it has the same behavior. I have removed all files under ~/.kde that mention konqueror, kong_* or kfmclient.
I checked the menu entry for Konqueror, and it is "kfmclient openProfile web browsing". I have set the view mode properly, then manually saved the profile in Konqueror. I have checked the system settings file associations, and the konqueror entry has the same application command (kfmclient) as the kde menu entry. Does anyone know how to make the view mode "stick" for Konqueror such that when clicking on html urls or selecting bookmarks causes Konqueror to display properly?

I am just spent half an hour hunting for a thing that should be totally available already:USB install images of Ubuntu, knoppix and all the others.And, the only good way are so far complicated tutorials where you extract the stuff from an CD image. Why??Hasn't everybody notices that CDs/DVDs are vanishing big time? That more and more systems don't have the readers anymore? Instead of following a 10 point instruction list, it would be nice to just be able to download a Ubuntu 8.10 or whatever USB image and be able to beam that DIRECTLY to a USB stick with a dd command.
Or am a missing something here? Does this exist?It should by no means be mariginal, considering how important USB stick in specific and flash memory in general have become.
To remove pendrive when I click the 'safely remove' tab instead of getting removed from the desktop it reappears again. This problem is there in fedora 14

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a way to convert .wav/.cue file pairs to their respective tracks in flac format, with ID3 tags from the .cue file. Preferably I would like to be able to do this in such a way that the new tracks would be copied to the appropriate %Artist%/%Album%/%trackno% %title%.flac location. Back in the days when I would go out of the car and back in when it didn't work, I would mount the .cue/wav file pair with Alcohol52, and use Windows Media Player to do the rest of the ripping for me. I'd like to be able to do something similar in Fedora.
I've looked around, but most threads talk about cuebreakpoints and shnsplit. Surely, I could do the job with those, but then I'd need to rename the files manually, copy them to the correct location manually, and input the ID3 data manually. This is very time consuming, and I'm trying at all costs to avoid this. I've already called Google several times, but his phone is turned off. How could I do the conversion in an automated way, preferably without going to Mr. terminal's office?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with images showing up as black boxes in konqueror, firefox, galeon, etc. I originally thought the problem was Firefox related, so I updated and the problem is still there.
I can't find anything with search that matched this exactly, so if I overlooked.
It seems to me that any time an image is re-sized it shows up as a black box. If I look at a wallpaper that's large, say 1200 x 800 or something, and the browser tries to resize it, it comes up black. However, if I click the same image and it returns to it's actual size, it looks perfect, as it should.
I look at a website I have to individually view each image and this is beginning to drive me crazy!

I have installed Fedora 12 in my dell studio 15 with screen 15.6 The images are not displayed properly, some times they displayed some wider than their actual size. Is there any video and display driver available for Fedora 12 which can improve its display quality.

View 7 Replies View RelatedUsually I use Dragon Player most of the time. It plays low resolution files fine but somehow has trouble decoding the 1080p/30p video clips I shot with my Sanyo VPC-FH1. The images appears fuzzy and look like ghosts.
I am not sure what codec does Sanyo use, but I would imagine it is some sort of AVCHD variation.
Could anyone recommend a good MP4 player which can handle these HD videos?
FC 12 64 bit. When I print an image from Gimp 2.6.8, where is most of the work being done to create data that the printer can use - on my computer or on my printer? The printing of images on my HP Laserjet 4000 or my Officejet 7000 is relatively slow. Can I speed it up by having more of the computation done on my computer instead of on the printers? Or is most of the work already being done by the computer?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been scanning in large numbers of old photos for a friend, and up until now, xsane has worked like a charm. Today, however, it's spitting at me. If I try to select a file path in advance, and just save the images, it fails, suggesting that a link exists. (No, I'm putting them directly into the directory in question; no links involved.) I have to bring up the image in the viewer, select Save and select the path for each and every photo involved. Not only that, if I try using the file selection box to show xsane where I want things stored, it doesn't put the path into the box; I have to type it in myself. Considering that I have the best part of a hundred photos to scan, this isn't exactly an option. Does anybody have an idea what's gotten mungged, or how to unmung it?

However, all of the popular things of course have to work easily, otherwise there's no convincing them..Almost everything has been arranged, except for an easy way to bulk-print pictures onto A4. I have probably missed it but google doesn't help, this forum doesn't give me too much that I can find.
I did find gpp (Gnome Photo Print) but that is still too complicated. I need to be able to either get it directly from the nautilus context menu, or set the gui so that this app is automatically used when viewing images in a memory card. And then it has to be easy to print.
Where is the Plymouth startup images directory? I design 76 pictures for my special startup! I put them in /usr/share/plymouth/charge , but my shutdown animation changed!: and startup didn't change!
