Fedora Installation :: Cannot Connect To Internet / Way To Do

I recently installed Fedora 11 on Sony Vaio laptop and I cannot connect to the internet. I used many different kind of browsers and no luck. I am using wireless it is Broadcom 2200 card and i can tell the driver is installed correctly and it says I am connected to the wireless fine. Strange thing is that when i use software update it downloads them fine which means the internet is there. But I cannot goto any webpage with my browser. I run ifconfig and i can even ping websites without problem. I checked my firewall to see if its blocking my port 80 but it was not blocking.
I've finally managed to install Fedora 11 but I can't connect to the internet via wifi. Ethernet works fine though but when I unplug the cable and try to mess with the settings, I still can't connect. I'm currently using Mac iBook G4 and I can see that my wireless card (Broadcom wireless b/g) has been detected but I just can't seem to figure out how to make it work.
I've recently installed Fedora 12 64 bit and I've noticed that I have to turn wired network connection on every time I boot up. How do get it to connect automatically everytime?
On one machine is upgraded from F7 to F10: no problems. On my second machine, I did a fresh install. I can connect to the internet via KPPP, but both Firefox & Konqueror fail to recognize that I'm online. I tried to create a network modem connection, but when I select "new" & "modem", then press the "forward" button, nothing happens.
I have ADSL Internet and with it updated my F12, 3 days ago. after that I can't connect to internet! when I click on NetworkManager in top panel and choose my connection to connect internet, dispaly a notification that I can't connect to Internet! This is my /var/log/messages Outputs:
I have Fedora 12 Repo installed. The computer has wire and wireless connections but I cant set it up any one of them. I can add a wire connection but it does not connect. I cant add any wireless connection because all the different options dont show up the apply button active. The dual boot does not work also. It only allows you to log on to Fedora Repo. I tried to install the i386 option but it failed to connect. I was using Mepis 8.5 before and I did not have any of these problems when I first installed it.
I have a voip calling client, called smartvoip (URL...). Current the client is available only for windows. So, I suppose it should be possible to get it running on wine.Even though the application comes up, it cannot connect to the internet and log me in.
I am using Fedora 13. I used to connect to the internet well. I am not able to connect to the internet now wired. I connect the cable to my laptop which has windows 7 and I can access internet.
I have internet connection - you need to open a browser & in the login screen enter your user name & password to get connected. The connection is via a ethernet cable. I have the netinstall cd for debian testing. How to connect to internet & get debian testing installed.
I just upgraded from 8.1 to latest production build and my DSL network connection is failing to connect - and I can't connect to the internet (the crisis ). I have tested the modem & ISP connection, they are fine.

Trying to install 10.10 from USB onto my Dell Inspiron mini 10. I am able to boot into the USB, but I cannot connect to the internet - wireslessly or otherwise. When I plug the internet cable directly into the computer that does not work. I had to fidget with some drives to get the Network Manager to work, which it finally did, but it won't connect either - just keeps asking for the password.
I have installed Ubuntu 11.04 on a system (Details below) and it seems I can hardly do anything. I installed on a laptop that already had Windows XP SP3, creating a dual boot machine with wubi. *DUAL BOOTING IS WORKING FINE* Sorry, hand must have slipped on the caps lock there....

2. Using network manager, I added a connection for Mobile Broadband, and the connection seems to work, but I still cannot connect to the Internet. Note that previously the USB modem works fine in Windows.
Modem: Huawei E1556 from Claro (Caribbean) Machine: Panasonic Toughbook CF30, dual processor. Harddisk has 5 partitions. Windows is on C:, Ubuntu on G: as a wubi file. If anyone can help, I would geatly appreciate it. Please note that currently, I can only access the internet via the Windows partition, which means if I have to download install new package(s) in Ubuntu to get this working, I'm stuck.
I installed fresh copy of fedora 11. I can't activate or deactivate ethernet from system>Administration>Network. Why is this............I can connect to internet directly by enabling network icon on right topmost corner. Even doing so dosen't guarantee connection at times. What could be wrong here ? Also my network icon shows it is disconnected whenever I start my computer. Cant fedora 11 just connect to the internet while it boots ?
I installed Fedora 12 weeks ago and it was working like a charm.And suddenly, i can't seem to connect to the internet anymore.I tried booing to winxp and i successfully conected. I'm using PPPOE connection.And that's the error in the var/log/messages

I connect to the Internet via wired ethernet. The modem/gateway is 2Wire mod. 2701HG-B. Service provider is AT&T DSL. Ethernet controller is Realtek Semiconductor RTL8111/81688 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet. When I go to System -> Administration -> Network Device Control it shows eth0 as inactive.
I just installed Fedora 14 on my laptop as a Dual Boot with Windows 7.The problem I am having is that I can't get fedora to connect to my wireless internet.I can access it just fine on the windows side.On my Fedora desktop at the top there a little icon with two little computer monitors there is also a little x by them. No matter how I configure settings it don't work.If I have to download something on the windows side to fix this please let me know how to get it to the linux partition.
I have a freshly installed dual boot Win 7 and F15. Windows 7 gets on the internet no problem, so does this RHEL/FF machine, iphone too, but F15/Firefox no joy. it's showing me connected to my network just fine. I'm pretty sure it worked at some point because I did my software updates and I have a saved bookmark, though I don't remember exactly.
I've been using 3 different distros for the last 2 weeks. Ubuntu, Fedora and Mint. And i've been using Windows since I can remember. I won't talk here about the benefits I got with Linux, because everyone knows that. But there's something about Linux that keeps annoying me, no offence to Linux users, and I want to ask you about that.
It just seems impossible to install additional software without an Internet connection. I tried: Keryx, Opyum, Suhi,huh?, Synaptics generate download script, yum -downloadonly. I didn't yet: Debian 10DVD I'm not programmer, and my knowledge about computers and operative systems is very small. But installing software on Windows the worst case of dependencies i saw was I had to download just one more .exe file (.NET framework or klite codec pack installers, for example).
question: Is there any Linux distro or any way where packages are managed in a more compact fashion? Suppose I want to use Wine, how I download some megapackage with ALL dependencies or something like that? How system administrators manage where no Internet connection at all (if that possible)?
I am using redhat fedora on a VM player. I set up a static IP address as well as a auto DHCP address. For some reason I cannot connect to either one or even activate or deactivate either one. My VM player is set up to bridge with my local machine.

During the installation of Debian ( debian-8.2.0-amd64-CD-1.iso ) I couldn't connect to any mirror probably because the internet wasn't configured.
Thus, after the basic installation I wasn't able to install any packages ( trying to install sudo as root prompted me to insert the media disc - the USB drive I used wasn't detected going in an infinite loop ). Judging by the fact that I don't have a window manager installed.
New Toshiba Satellite L650 D 64 bit ..Processor Vision Tech. With WIN 7 it connects through the Linksys Wireless G Router and also straight Broadband Cable . But I have tried Xubuntu 10 .04 ..Linux Mint 10.04 [ which I installed].
Open SUSE 11.2 and none will connect . My old laptop runs Xubuntu 10.04 /
Ubuntu 8.10 no problem but 32 bit. I cannot get this 64 bit version installation right?
I've just installed Ubuntu. My house isn't wired so I use wireless on all my machines to connect to the internet. When I start up Ubuntu, I can connect to my wireless router. After about 3 minutes, I get disconnected. It refuses to reconnect for several minutes. If I disable and reenable networking, I can establish a connection again, but the process is repeated. I'm not really sure what the issue is here. Any guesses? This is a desktop and I'm using a Belkin wireless adapter.
I have installed Fedora 10 on my Intel system. I am not able to connect to internet from it. Mine is a broadband connection with ADSL+2 modem. I could connect once but afterwards it was deactivated and I got following bug report.

I've been trying to connect to the internet in Fedora 10 for the last week but can't figure it out. The OS has automatically connected to the internet a couple of times but now does not connect at all. The LAN ROM Boot option is enabled in my BIOS and am using a speedtouch 585v7 router provided by my ISP, I have an ADSL router and it's a standard ethernet connection to the router. What do I do to connect to the internet
