Firefox in my Fedora 14 cannot display the product images in the following web page

I have tried Firefox 3.6 and Firefox 4. Both failed. Seems error in CSS causing image discarded.
Kconquer in Fedora 14 can display without problem.
I have tried Firefox 4 in Windows XP can display without problem.
uname of my system is 2.6.35.12-88.fc14.x86_64
I create/modify web pages on Ubuntu and on Ubuntu it looks good but on Firefox that runs on Windows it is all messed up. The pictures or text is not as intended and that is really annoying. What is the issue here?I really don't understand.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a weird problem with Firefox with the following scenario: When I view a picture from a website in the browser and the pictures gets deleted from the server (while I'm viewing it) - I can't save the picture to my hard drive. Firefox always tries to download the picture from the web-server although it's in the cache. Resulting in an image file which contains the HTTP 404 response from the server. *lol*

I am using Squid Server from last 5years. There is a site "http://www.firstflight.net", which was accessible before few days but now I am unable to access this site. If I use IE8 then getting below error:
"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"
Or using Google chrome getting error:
"This webpage is not available The webpage at http://www.firstflight.net/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. Error 330 (net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED): Unknown error."
But other sites are working fine..

When I print from a web page, it prints 3 pages from a web page that looks like it would print more than 3 pages. It seems like only the first, second and last sections of a web page is being printed. Is there an easy fix to this?
I have posted the following below on the Ubuntu Forums but have not got a satisfactory answer yet. My problem is as follows:I have installed Xubuntu on my machine to test a setup I want to to for my in-laws. Everything went well until I realised I have a problem loading some pages on Firefox.
There is no error message but they are just stuck on loading and finally timing out. I have then downloaded Opera and I am showing the same problem. A bit of research showed it could be a IPV6 issue. I therefore disabled ipv6 in about:config and also /etc/modprobe.d/aliases - 'alias net-pf-10 ipv6' to alias 'net-pf-10 off ipv6'. No change - still can't get those pages loaded.
Ok so i end up downloading many tutorials on many different things and i read many of them every day. Every time i go to open one it pops up a notification asking me what i want to do, i want it to automatically "Display"

I'd like to have one Firefox window open up on DVI-0 and a second Firefox window open up on DVI-1.
This would be very useful for me. It would mean that I could use 1 PC rather than 2 PCs for these two Firefox windows that I will eventually display on separate TVs.
I run X only under duress. For years I have used svgalib clients. I haven't gotten svgalib to work on my new machine (or X, either, a different matter). I have come tantalizingly close.Is there any other non-X image displayer?

Most images display fine on web pages for accounts on the server, however, .gif images do not display.All I get is an image placeholder.
.png are fine
.jpg are fine
I have not tested all the possible varieties of images, but .gif I know is not displaying.I am sure its some kind of RPM I am missing or a configuration problem.

I'm running TB 3.1.5. Images do not display in emails. There is no "Display Images" button. Where the images would be, I only get a broke image icon (the little torn page). I don't know if this is a Ubuntu specific issue, but I thought I'd post here because the community is so responsive. View 6 Replies View RelatedI m mew at linux programing an working on a project that is sort of cctv cmra monitoring i m now facing problem with part of my program for displaying the received image in window and also updating it timely by closing and opening new window or refreshing the same one...........i have no idea where to start study ........system command "display" is not fulfilling the purpose... its not refreshing until window is closed manually, control to the program is not returning back without forcefully closing.

KDE 4.x I don't have this issue.
Using Win7 on a laptop with Firefox 41.0.2 and I'm able to scroll downwards without any issues using the same mouse that was connected to the machine with Xubuntu 14.04.
Sometimes I come across fixes for linux issues on websites. I copy the information and email it to myself for future reference in case I have to reinstall the OS again. I can do a ctrl A and ctrl c but then the entire website is copied. The ads on the side, etc.
If I put my left mouse cursor on the first word in a thread and drag/highlight downwards, my mouse cursor stops line 35 on the page. If I do the same thing but backwards, my mouse cursor goes all the way up the page. This only happens on Firefox and Google Chrome. This doesnt' happen with mousepad, Libre writer or Libre calc.
When i open the Browser FireFox and enter the URL http://localhost/TemplateSystemCore/bin/index.php no PHP Errors will be displayed. If i do Right Click View Source Code it is total empty.
I am using Netbeans to edit a PHP Project. The Project is located in /home/martin/NetBeansProjects/TemplateSystemCore btw. /home/martin/NetBeansProjects/TemplateSystemCore/bin
The Project is usein a .htaccess file with Rewrite Rules.
I edited the php.ini and set all display errors to On.
I also edided the http.conf and set display errors On. But nothing helped. Have anyone a Idea why my Brwoser isnt printing any PHP Errors? At least a <html> Tag should be on the Source Code. But its also empty.

I'm using 10.10 dual booted with xp and I'm trying to get images that are part of a docx file to open with OO 3.2 in ubuntu
They view fine on xp using OO 3.2 but windows being windows, it won't talk to my printer so I can't print. When I load up ubuntu and OO, the images just aren't there. The rest of the document looks the same however. Am I missing a file in ubuntu or is there a workaround for this?
So I'm teaching myself some scripting to try and create a fairly simple photobooth type affair... I've got gphoto2 playing fairly nicely with my canon, and imagemagick taking that output and rearranging it to a vertical format...

Fairly simple to do what I needed initially: Code: feh -FZ -D 1 --cycle-once $COUNTDOWN & sleep 2 &
feh -FZ -D 20 --cycle-once $SMILE This shows a countdown from 5 to 1 in images and $SMILE is big that says 'smile'
So my question is thus... (fairly basic but I can't get my head round the use of & and sleep in this context) what's the best way to call my gphoto instructions (or a script with them in) mid way through the above code?!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am running Ubuntu 10.04, up to date, 32 bits. I tried to open a huge (10.000 x 1.200 pixels approx) Wikipedia image, and everything crashed. Nor Firefox, Gnome or anything else responded from there. Not even ctrl+alt+del, ctrl+alt+backspace, alt+F2, etc. Only the mouse moves, but rather slowly.

I could NOT replicate the problem with Chromium. However, I am not sure if the issue is only firefox since it locks up everything in ubuntu.
I've noticed that after an update, possibly a week ago, that Firefox 3.6.15 images are grainy. If you look at the attached image, you'll see that the banner is grainy and jagged. The fonts appear on this news site to be okay although frequently the fonts are messed up as well. Don't mind the personal bookmarks toolbar, I smudged it on purpose. BTW, the same page in Chromium looks as it should.
