I want to install Asterisk gui using svn command, but I have the following error:

I compiled and installed the Asterisk ztdummy package because there is no rpm for it, unfortunately, and i even reinstalled asterisk, but i still get the "No application 'Meetme' for extension..." error when trying to conference. I do a "module show", and it lists other modules that were compiled with the zt source, but not ztdummy.Does anyone know how to fix this? This is more than a passing interest or hobby, because i need to conference about 3 to 5 people to help me test a new Website Content Management System and User Forums Management System i am about to launch as a service.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a new installed CentOS with Asterisk on a dell p4 286 ram, 40gigHD and am unable to get the asterisk gui to start. After new installation i am able to get all the way to the root@localhost level. Every command I use (from forum answers and site searches) deems a "no such file or directory" response from the server.s a precaution, I re-downloaded and re-installed the application. Is there a direct command to run at root@localhost to start the asterisk gui and if so what is it? When I type asterisk -r (or any command with asterisk in it) it responds "asterisk is running in a different directory". If not, can someone please direct me to the correct help section to uninstall CentOS until I am able to test on my own machine at home and learn the entire system before reinstalling it as our phone server. I have limited time at work to get the VoIP to install and run.

I've spent the whole day trying to fault find this one (including thinking I had ruined my box and creating a new CentOS build!) and am pretty worn outWhen I attempt to install asterisk-addons (I've tried 1.6.0.1, 1.6.0.1-patch and 1.6.1.0-rc3), I get the following line in a ./configure:

I am trying to attach my server to 2 diferent networks, with fixed ip addresses,
eth0 = 192.168.0.2 255.255.255.0 with gateway 192.168.0.1. This is currently working, and I can ssh o the machine on this address
eth1 = 192.168.150.5 255.255.255.0 with gateway 192.168.150.1
When I try and start eth1 with ifconfig eth1 up, I get the error message "eth1: unknown interface: no such device"
I have configured eth1 using system-config-network-tui and /etc/sysconfig/networking/devices/ifcfg-eth1 looks correct
GATEWAY=192.168.150.1
TYPE=Ethernet
DEVICE=eth1
BOOTPROTO=none

Installed OS, it told me I should install nVidia drivers. I told it to go ahead, it told me to restart - I did. I restart into a command prompt... No GUI. Turn off PC, on again, still - same thing. Asks me to login, but no GUI.

It's a new install on a laptop, it looks like it installs fine, however after a boot I get login & password prompt and command line. I did choose GNOME desktop during the install.I know I will have problems to get 1080p resolution with my Intel integrated card Ironlake but at least I expect to have GNOME with min resolution 800x600.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI tried to install centos 5.3 on my dell pc. I downloaded the large 3.69 gb dvd iso. file from 5 seperate mirror sites and burned the disk images. When I boot it did the disk checks and they have been all good. The problem I'm having is it starts the boot process lets me get to the partition settings and then goes to formating the harddrive then when it starts the install part it goes for a few minutes then gives me a error that it cant find a file (not allways the same file) and says the install sorce is missing a file or is corrupted. This is why I have spent a few days downloading from different mirror sites to see if that was the issue, they all cant be bad.
When I first attempted the install it installed grub for multi boots I dont think this has any problem with finding the files but who knows. I looked up on how to uninstall grub and you can not from the info on there site.The box is a dell pent 4 with one gig ram, two ide hard drives and it ran windows xp. I intalled fedora on the box and it ran fine w/ no install errors I just need to try and set up a server so I can install webgui's cms webhosting wre software. In there forums they said centos 5 is the best os for what I want to do.
I've downloaded the YUM RPM to a flash drive and double-clicked it in an attempt to install the RPM. Package Manager reported that the RPM is already installed. Oddly enough, when I try to open Package Manager itself, I get an error, "Unable to retrieve repository metadata. This could be caused by not having a network connection available." and the >Details are "Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: c5-media. Please verify its path and try again." (A network connection IS available...I'm posting from the server, right now!)
If I click on the Repository Manager button, I get the attached picture and assume that sll is well with those different configurations.
I have a very urgent problem that is nailing me down for days now: I was running CentOS 5.7 x86_64 very successful in a VM here. Now i wanted to install it on a native system here. So i burned the 8 ISOs to 8 CDs.
When i started the installation however, it is booting correct, (continue in GUI mode) and then finally asking me for installation language/keyboard layout, then it comes up with "CD Not Found" - "The CentOS CD was not found in any of your CDROM drives. Please insert the CentOS CD and press OK to retry" - what i did, several times, without success.
Next try: The DVD image. So i installed a torrent client, downloaded both ISOs, burned them several hours later -> same result. after going through the first steps (selecting install language and keyboard layout): "CD Not Found" - "The CentOS CD was not found in any of your CDROM drives. Please insert the CentOS CD and press OK to retry" - what i did, several times, without success.
So, last try: The NetInstall image. Downloaded the ISO, burned it, and yah! Finally, i can install CentOS. It took almost 6 hours to get through the installation. I got one error (Can't download 'something i don't remember'), i said retry, and it continued. So but now it hangs after startup. Mouse cursor is visible, blue nice 'wait' anim is playing, that's it.
I'd really want to reinstall it, and i don't trust the net install (i probably screwed up something else) - so how can i fix this damn CD drive issue? is the drive (oem something standard IDE thing) not supported or what?
i enabled gnome desktop effects ignor the warning and now i am not able to login to genome dektop. 1.how to disable desktop effects by commands. ALSO sometimes i get this error could not update ICEauthority file /var/lib/gdm/.ICEauthority. 2. how to solve this bug.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm attempting to install a command-line version of Maverick, from the alternate CD. I'm using the 64-bit version. The installation has gone fine - however, I'm having troubles getting the wireless to work. I've installed wireless-tools by carting the *.deb archive over from another computer - this seemed to go fine, and iwconfig shows my wireless card as "wlan0". However, even after setting the essid and the WEP key I can't connect to the internet (tested this using apt-get). I know that this wireless card requires the "rtl8187se" module, which automatically loads with the desktop version of Maverick - however, it isn't working on the command-line. Running "sudo modprobe rtl8187se" pings back an error message saying that the module can't be found. Is there a way for me to manually install it or "find" it?

I downloaded the CentOS-5.3-i386-bin-DVD.iso, after recording an image on DVD
Start the installation, selecting Installation Method, chose Local CDROM - Message on my screen: "CD Not Found"

Let me start by saying I'm new to CentOS. But we're getting a server with CentOS soon so I'm experimenting on a virtual machine for the moment. One of the things I'm going to test requires me to have wine installed on the CentOS box. I found that to install wine I need to use the command "yum install wine". When doing this nothing really happens. I get the following output on the screen:

View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot boot from the OS dvd. It says looking for boot info on CDDVD then boots right into an older version of windows that happens to be on the hdd. If I unplug the hard drive I can get into the CentOS installer but this is useless because the hdd isn't viewable as a place to install the new OS. I don't know if I need to format the drive before hand so that Cent has a clean slate or if there is a problem with the DVD itself. The later I dont believe so based on the working of the installer while hdd unplugged. The DVD drive is on its own ribbon and both hdd and dvd drive or set to primary master in DOS.
Aside: I have recenlty moved to centOS formally using ubuntu and messing around with fedora on another computer. I am using cent based on work with school, they recommended cent for project with professor.
