CentOS 5 :: Setting Up PhpMyAdmin - Error "no Such File Or Directory"
Jul 7, 2010
problem installing phpMyAdmin on CentOS 5 I believe i did install phpMyAdmin Correctly I can even see it in the directory in usr/share/phpmyadmin I also setup the blowfish password and i also change the [auth] cookies to html. and i allow 127.0.0.1 to access it But when i type [URL] it replies no such file or directory. I even tried [URL]
I get "403 Forbidden You don't have permission to access" after attempting an installation of phpmyadmin.
CentOS 5.4 Permissions for directory set to 755 recursively (chomd -R 755 <directory name>) Directory is in /var/www/html/
I have other test pages in the /var/www/html/ directory that I can access ... I know this seems like a permission issue and in fact the error log states this is a permission issue, but I cannot figure what is the problem here.
I am attempting to install Xemacs-21.4.22 on Centos 5.4 and get the following error message when I attempt to... make install
.......... xlwmenu.c:39:28: error: X11/bitmaps/gray: No such file or directory xlwmenu.c: In function 'XlwMenuInitialize': xlwmenu.c:3015: error: 'gray_bits' undeclared (first use in this function) xlwmenu.c:3015: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once xlwmenu.c:3015: error: for each function it appears in.) xlwmenu.c:3016: error: 'gray_width' undeclared (first use in this function) xlwmenu.c:3016: error: 'gray_height' undeclared (first use in this function) make[1]: *** [xlwmenu.o] Error 1
I understand that there are some X11 bitmaps not included in Centos 5.4 however I have no idea how to install them.
CentOS 5.3 has been running fairly good except for a slow ethernet connection so I thought I would upgrade to CentOS 5.4 to see if that improved things. I had previously changed fstab and menu.lst to use UUID instead of LABEL in order to insulate myself from partition label changes I wanted to make. This worked fine in CentOS 5.3. When I attempted to upgrade from 5.3 to 5.4 using the installation disk and telling it to upgrade rather than do a new install, the installation correctly found my root partition as /dev/sdb8. When I proceeded with the upgrade I received the error:
"Error mounting device UUID=cee298a0-9c47-4a3a-ac84-23db4d20edd5 as /. No such file or directory. This most likely means the partition has not been formatted."
But of course it has been formatted and is my / partition running CentOS 5.3 as I type. how to fix this to get CentOS 5.3 upgraded ? Di I have to use LABEL in fstab and menu.lst for my partitions,or perhaps just for my root partition ? Any other ideas why this is failing ?
Code: mkdir: cannot create directory `/dev/cgroup/cpu/user/5900': No such file or directory bash: /dev/cgroup/cpu/user/5900/tasks: No such file or directory bash: /dev/cgroup/cpu/user/5900/notify_on_release: No such file or directory It seems like it's probably from this part of .bashrc:

What does this code do, why, and what's causing it to go wrong?
After all many times I've read the on line tutorial and How To Install PHPMyAdmin the result is always the same.I recently installed CentOS 5.5 and finished installing via yum the httpd, Mysql and PHP and have it run smoothlyBut when I've tried to download the phpMyAdmin-2.11.11-english.tar.gz.gz and untar it in /var/www/html no phpmyadmin directory in there. I am really confused becase based on the online how to's after I untar it I should move the decompressed file to phpmyadmin directory
I'm currently stuck at 6.13 GMP-5.0.0 of the LFS installation. After running make, I receive the following:
error while loading shared libraries: libbfd-2.20.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory make[2]: *** [libmpn.la] Error 127 make[2]: Leaving directory `/sources/gmp-5.0.0/mpn'
I get an error when running slapt-get. The error is: "slapt-get: error while loading shared libraries: libsas.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory".
I've booted the Slackware disk # 1 and unchecked everything except the libraries category and installed them. I rebooted and it still says this. I get this same error before I put the disk in and rebooted to install ALL libraries. I really need help. BTW, I can't load KDE.I found a pkg manager already installed called "slackpkg". But I really need help on this library issue!! I uninstalled it (slapt-get) anyway, so forget that!
I am new to Linux and I wanted to setup a dedicated game server on my notebook.
I've installed Ubuntu 9.04. I than created a directory named /home/phlex/kfserver. I downloaded the application binary from Steam. I changed the file permission with chmod +x hldsupdatetool.bin and now the file attributes are -rwxr-xr-x.
The problem is when I try to run the binary file. If I type ./hldsupdatetool.bin I get an error message "-bash: ./hldsupdatetool.bin: No such file or directory. It seems the OS can't find the file. I've downloaded the file several times thinking it may have been corrupt but it's not. I can delete the file, I can rename it and so the file is there. Sometimes Linux can be aggravating to use.
i have a problem with realplayer 11 i can't open it due to that error message
Code: /opt/real/RealPlayer/realplay.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory so how can reveal this problem
Salutations,I've been struggling with getting audacious working for the past hour. I'm using synaptic to install it. When trying to run it from the bash, I'm getting the following error:
Code: audacious: error while loading shared libraries: libmowgli.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.I tried to make /usr/lib/libmowgli.so->libmowgli.so.1 link, but it didn't help. Tried reinstalling audacious/libmowgli and a few others packages, but in vain, too.
I'm trying to setup a keyboard-command to open my downloads folder. Simple enough. To get things started off I did $ gnome-open /home/user (my name where user is) and it opens my user home directory. But when I get to adding downloads to the end of it it gives me this $ gnome-open /home/user/downloads Error showing url: Error stating file '/home/User/downloads': No such file or directory As far as I can tell there is most obviously a downloads directory in my user folder. I also get this error when trying to open any other home folder, like music, or pictures.
Trying to install Google Chrome from the Google repo I get the following error -Setting up Install Process Resolving Dependencies --> Running transaction check ---> Package google-chrome-stable.i386 0:5.0.375.55-47796 set to be updated --> Processing Dependency: lsb >= 3.2 for package: google-chrome-stable --> Finished Dependency Resolution google-chrome-stable-5.0.375.55-47796.i386 from google has depsolving problems --> Missing Dependency: lsb >= 3.2 is needed by package google-chrome-stable-5.0.375.55-47796.i386 (google)
Im new in centos community and i just installed it.I installed it through the virtualbox and without X server so i im running only with console. I have problem with ssh keygen. When i generated a keygen i get two files: keygen and keygen.pub. Tutorials telling me that i have to rename keygen.pub to "authorized_keys" and copy it to /root/.ssh. But when im trying cd to /root/.ssh then i get the error: no such file or directory, even "whereis" don't know where is this folder.

I upgraded my php from 5.1.6 to 5.2.10 but at php -v I got a weird error, so I figured let's reinstall some things. This was the probably very dumb commando I used:
yum remove gcc-c++l zlib zlib-devel php*
Now I think my whole server is fxxxed because I get the following messages:
-bash: /usr/bin/yum: No such file or directory -bash: rpm: command not found -bash: ls: command not found
And the only thing I'm glad about is I still have an SSH connection open because creating a new connection isn't possible either. what should I do to repair this all.
CentOS 5.4 (Final) is installed on my VPS.I'd uploaded a zip file that contains a directory and some files that there are space in their names and now I can't do anything with them.
I have peculiar issue..as follows We have a nsf mount file system mounted across 5 servers and keeping RMAN backups on that. Most of the days backups going through without any issue. But occasionally (monthly 3-4 time) it fails with the following error. But if we re-run the backup it goes through without any issue. There is no space issue at all. Almost 200 GB is free always is anyone experienced same error? How to solve it?
'ORA-19502: write error on file ORA-27072: File I/O error Linux-x86_64 Error: 2: No such file or directory
I copied g95 executable under /usr/bin which is clearly in my PATH. When I type g95, it says "bash: /home/username/bin/g95: No such file or directory". Why doesn't it look for somewhere else that is in my PATH?
My ubuntu stops when mounting system hdd. The screen display the following messages :

I suspect the disk manager pysdm that i had just installed today and it had crash during the previous session. The /etc/fstab file does not exist anymore and i cant rename the fstab.bak because the disk is read-only even for my root user
The past couple of updates have messed up my localhost phpMyAdmin application. After the update I get the following error. Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly.
I have the old files backed up and when I restore them everything is ok. Why doesn't the update work? I figured it had to be a path or permissions problem. I gave unrestricted access to all users on all files and it still does not work. I found a php script in a phpMyAdmin wiki and it gives me this: If a session could be started successfully you should not see any Warning(s), otherwise check the path/folder mentioned in the warning(s) for proper access rights. The current "session.save_path" is "/var/lib/php5". Session file name: "sess_dee3dp1j6takbdtpvl702nbcptdivh82". which seems to me to say everything is cool pathwise.
i have apache, php, mysql, etc installed, and running.
Phpinfo displays properly, and i can even do a few simple database calls via databases i made from the commandline.
I try to install the phpMyAdmin package (i think its from RPMForge, but it might be from EPEL). The package installs without problems, yet when i attempt to go to localhost/phpMyAdmin, i get a 404 error.
Is there something i need to do with my apache configuration to make this work? There seems to be very little documentation on this package.
If there isnt anything i could do, i could go through and do it by hand, but i want to have the advantage of using packages for the automatic updates.
EDIT1: Ok, i reinstalled the package, and now i get a 403:Forbidden instead of a 404.
