CentOS 5 Server :: PHP SOAP Server Returns Array Using NuSOAP Library?
Jul 2, 2009
I have a function in my SOAP server that returns an array. When the client calls this function, it only receives "array", and when I use foreach to print each member of this array, it tells me that this is not an array. If I change the returned value of the function to a string or integer type everything works fine though, so I don't think that there is any problem with the client.I am using NuSOAP library on php to achieve that.I had doubt when declaring the type of return value of the function. In XML schema there is no array type, so I specified the return value as a string like this:
PHP Code:
$server->register("getLocation",
array('country_population' => 'xsd:string',
[code]....

I'm attempting to use REGEX to isolate media (video and audio) essence that relate to alias/reference Quicktime movies. This text file/array contains a list of Quicktime movies and media essence. Essence for each Quicktime movie is contained in this text file. An example text file is below:
Code:

Both servers are in the intranet.

the php file is code...
I've tried variations in the url, the user, with and without password, with no luck
I've googled a lot, with no luck

I need to mount my raid array on CentOS 5.2 samba server.
Here are my hardware specs:
Motherboard: Tyan S2510 LE dual PIII
CPU's: Intel PIII 850ghz socket 370
Memory: 4 gig Crucial 133 ECC SDRAM
OS: 2 x'x IBM Travelstar 6.4 gig 2.5 hard drives, (low heat/noise)
Storage: 4 x's Seagate 500 gig IDE 7200 rpm
RAID controller: 3Ware 7500-12 controller, (RAID 5) (66 mhz PCI bus)
NIC: 3COM 3C996B-T gigabit NIC, (66 mhz PCI bus)
I have the 2 IBM's set as RAID 1, (mirror) and the 4 Seagates as RAID 5, (1.5 TB) I have installed the OS with minor problems, (motherboard doesn't like the 2.6.18-128.1.14.el5 kernel, removed it from my grub.conf).
My problem is mounting the RAID array. I have done the following:
formatted with fdisk;
fdisk /dev/sdb
Then formatted with the following command;
mkfs.ext3 -m 0 /dev/sdb
The hard drive was formatted with the ext3 files system, but I have mounted it as an ext2 file system as I don't want 'journaling' to occur. I then edited my /ect/fstab like this: .....
Then: mount -a
When I go into my "home" directory and type ls, I get the following:
[root@hydra home]# ls -l
total 24
drwx------ 2 zog zog 4096 Jun 23 15:50 zog
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 6 Jun 23 15:46 home -> /home/
drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 16384 Jun 23 15:34 lost+found
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jun 23 17:18 tmp
Why my home directory is showing under home?

Summary: Does a discrepancy between MySQL client library 5.0.x and MySQL server of 5.1.50 cause "inconsistent behavior", as reported by phpMyAdmin? The longer version: Windows Sysadmin taking the plunge into Linux. I tried to spare you all the rookie questions and did a fair bit of reading. I'm rather happy I was able to get CentOS 5.5 installed and running, configured iptables, got the kernel updated, Apache, MySQL and PHP installed. Then upgraded PHP to 5.2 after I figured out how repos and priorities work.
I got phpMyAdmin installed and running, then decided to upgrade from 2.11 to 3.3.7 but it keeps complaining that my MySQL client libraries are something like 5.0.63, while my server is 5.1.50, and this may cause "inconsistent behavior" or something of the like. So, feeling industrious, I decided to find an updated client.
MySQL-client-community-5.1.50-1.rhel5.i386.rpm
But it wouldn't let me install it as it conflicted with the default mysql-server installation. I also couldn't remove just the old client, to update to a newer one. So I blew away everything mysql on my server and installed the above client
MySQL-server-community-5.1.50-1.rhel5.i386.rpm
and that server file. I'm assuming I'm missing dependencies now as phpMyAdmin claims it can't load the mysql extension. Attempting to 'yum' php-mysql tried to install 'mysql' as a dependency, which immediately conflicted with the files I'd installed. At this point I'm wondering if I'm closing in on successfully installing a version that phpMyAdmin doesn't complain about, or if I should even care that it is complaining and just go back to all the repo versions of everything.
# rpm -e MySQL-shared-community-5.1.50-1.rhel5.i386.rpm
error: package MySQL-shared-community-5.1.50-1.rhel5.i386.rpm is not installed

I have the opportunity to set up our local public library with a linux server. The primary need is for the server to land wifi users to a hotspot splash screen where they will accept terms of use and indicate what town they are from by checking a box or selecting from a dropdown menu. Users of terminals in the library would also have to indicate what town they are from. Things such as content filtering may come later. What distro would be recommended for this? Ease of use and configuration is important. They basically want to track use of the internet.

I have downloaded CDemu from http://sourceforge.net/projects/cdemu/ and installed it without errors. However when I go to /usr/local/bin and run ./cdemud it returns the following error,
Quote:
ben@Scottie /usr/local/bin $ ./cdemud
./cdemud: error while loading shared libraries: libmirage.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I find this confusing as I have installed libmirage - http://sourceforge.net/projects/cdem...r.bz2/download - and I have found libmirage.so.2 in /usr/local/lib.

FreeSWITCH ver.: 1.0.6
Client (Dual-Boot Setup) Problem: Both Windows Vista Ultimate 64-Bit and Ubuntu 10.04 LTS versions of Ekiga, including SFLphone in Ubuntu 10.04 seems to be ignored by FreeSWITCH. FreeSWITCH fails to register. In the client side, the Windows firewall gets turned off for testing while everything in iptables under Ubuntu has everything set to accept in the filter section. In the server side, the firewall configuration is quite basic.eth0: Cable Modem plugged in via USB cable eth1: nVidia Gigabit that connects to my 1Gbit switch

I've been experiencing that my md array md0 is not being automounted during boot for strange reason Checking up the boot log I saw: md: md0 switched to read-write mode. And after boot, checking out /proc/mdstat :
# cat /proc/mdstat
Personalities : [raid1]
md0 : active (auto-read-only) raid1 sdb1[0] sdc1[1]
976759936 blocks [2/2] [UU]
While auto-read-only mode I cannot mount md0 So if I put
[Code]....
It gets mounted perfect... But its pretty bad that it doesnt automount, since is a linux server running Debian Lenny with kernel 2.6.32-2 and on that array (not root) there are virtual machines KVM images that should also boot after system load.

Does anyone know of any existing software to aid in this task? We already offer backed-up data storage to our users, but no means of say arching original data sets for long term storage(NIH, etc rules). Something that could be user initiated, where they login into the archive server, tell it I want such and such files archives, and on its own it takes those files and gives them to a tape library(drive+robot).

I've had software RAID 5 arrays for a while now, so they were set up before a RAID array could be partitioned. I had two separate RAID 5 arrays on the same set of drives. One was for / and the other for /home. I moved the / to an SSD and figured I'd expand the other RAID array by failing a drive, repartitioning it then adding it back in. After repeating for the remaining drives, I could then expand the RAID array to use the full size of the drives.
Partway through the second drive being added back in, the RAID array stopped with a kernel error. The drive I was adding and another drive both showed as failed. I couldn't restart the array so I copied the failed drive (Seagate's SeaTools did show it as faulty, but without SMART being tripped) to a new one and tried again. dd_rescue reported the drive copied correctly but I still couldn't restart the array.
So I tried the old standby of recreating the array. This allows me to start it but the ext3 file system won't mount. So I then tried my script (listed in another thread) to try every combination of drives to assemble the array and mount the file system. Still no luck.

I had a raid 5 + lvm 2 array and lost a disk. While it was recovering the array, the power was down and recovery stopped. When I recovered the power and start the machine the array was unable to start, it was degraded and the states were different between disks. Every disk watched the array in a different way. I put you the states:
Quote:
/dev/sdd1
Number Major Minor RaidDevice State
this 0 8 33 0 active sync /dev/sdc1
[code]....
The first part in /dev/sdc1 is the same for all the devices, I just post you the states. Another thing is tha all the devices say that there is no superblock It seems that 3 disks are "active sync" but the states of the others doesn't match between them. And /dev/sdd1 is spare, the disk I added manually at first to start the recovery process.

I have an Ubuntu server installation set up as a media server with Subsonic in a medium sized office environment. I allow uploads from all employees to the media folder on the server. As you can imagine, it's going to get a bit messy in there with multiple spellings of artist and album names for directory names, duplicate files, and incorrect filenames and tags. I was hoping I could find a script that I could run daily as a cron job to clean up the media drive. I would like to maintain a path similar to: /mnt/music/Artist/Album/Song.file
