CentOS 5 Server :: VirtualHost Only Loads First Host In The List?
Dec 5, 2009I am a novice with linux but I pick up stuff pretty quick so far I have been able to figure everything else out except this, I have read all the documentation on apache 2 and getting virtual hosts to work and it appears I have everything setup right but yet I still can't get it to work, I have googgled my brains out and I still can not figure out whats going on here is my setup.I have two websites that I am trying to get to load[URL]I have webmin installed and I'm using their utilities to setup virtualhost. heres how it looks in my http config:NameVirtualHost 24.189.245.44:80 ( I have tryed * in place of my external ip)

May 27, 2010I am using KVM and created four guest Operating systems on it.The server host is Ubuntu 10.04.I am using 4 websites in a reverse proxy environment.One of our website is running on CentOS VM.Right now there is no traffic on the website static HTML pages.I do not have any clue as why it was taking longer time to be accessed.

At first it went really quickly inserting, then after a while after inserting 100k entries, it slowed right down, just like it would not even doing anything. CentOS 5 Server :: Put A MySQL Database In A Server's Memory?
Mar 18, 2010I'm looking for a way to put a MySQL database in a server's memory. The disks aren't fast enough to keep up with the usage and I don't feel like going for a splitted web&db server yet because of the costs.
Because this involves risks (unless there's a way to read from the memory and write to the memory AND disks?), so I'd prefer that the DB gets copied automatically every hour or so to the local disks.

May 25, 2009I run mysqld on another server. I just switched to another dedicated server now, and i'm having trouble connecting to the mysqld server. If i run the php script from the bash console( php connect.php ) it works perfectly and connects to the mysqld server. However, if i run the script from apache ( http://localhost/connect.php ) it returns this: Can't connect to MySQL server on '(mysqld real ip)' (13) Mysql connection from another server(old httpd server) works perfectly, so it's not from the database server.

Jul 26, 2011I'm trying to install ispCP and i need to start mysqld but it won't seem to start. I'm somewhat of a nooblet to linux (have a year of VPS 'experience', but nothing too fance) so bear with me.
When i run "service mysqld start" it fails with the error: "MySQL Daemon failed to start."
I ran: "tail -n 30 /var/log/mysqld.log" and this is the output;
