there is a way to print the "Work Week" calendar in Evolution? Currently, when I try to print the calendar while displaying the Work Week, I get the "Week" calendar display which isn't nearly as nice or useful.

I cannot get the monthly view to start the week on Sunday. The settings seem right but they don't stick. Restarting Evolution always defaults to a week start on Monday even though the defaults display Sunday. I've viewed the default settings the following two ways:
Within Evolution... Edit > Preferences > Calendar and Tasks > week starts on "Sunday"
GNOME Configuration editor.../apps/evolution/calendar/display/week_start_day = 0 (Sunday)
I was able to connect my Evolution to our Exchange Server 2003.I'm able to get my mail and calendar.When I add a second email account, I can get the mail, but if I try to show the calendar for the second email account, it only duplicates the entries from the original account and doesn't show anything that is on the second account's calendar.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn Evolution, suddenly something went wrong, and one of the Calendars (my personal calendar, i have two more) doesn't appear any more. I cannot select it either; when I try to select it, the tick appears for a second (less actually) and disappears again, and the elements on dates don't even appear in that time.
So I tried something to see if something else was going on; I tried to copy the Calendar (right click and Copy..) and I can do it with every Calendar but that one, because a message comes up "Could not open source". Also I've noticed when making right click on it, the "Delete" option is greyed out, not available.
I can see no easy way to launch the calendar from within evolution. In previous versions there were buttons to switch between email, contacts & calendar, now there's only a button to launch contacts from within email. The only solution I've found is to search for Evolution Contacts within Applications, and then I can see no way to pin it to the launcher.

I know it's possible to import .ics files into evolution, but our timetables are updated daily so I would have to import a new .ics file everyday.
Since upgrading to 10.10 when switching to evolution calendar, my Netbook freezes, completely. Not just the calendar, but the whole interface and I must shut the machine off to escape. I use the Gnome desktop (not the silly netbook one . I can't find any other references to this in the forums, does any one know if this is a known bug? or there is a fix? it isn't listed in the sticky at the top of the general forum.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have tried to import my calendar from an Outlook 2010 .pst file twice and have had the same error both times. Appointments import successfully, but the start time (and end time) is advanced by 8 hours. For example, an appointment in Outlook with the correct start time of 12:30pm appears in Evolution with a start time of 8:30pm. I have confirmed that my system time and time zone are identical and correct in WinXP/Outlook and Ubuntu/Evolution.

Evolution adds my own calendar just fine but I don't know how to add the extra one.
I know that in Outlook you can select "Add shared calendar" but I can't find this option in Evolution.
I reinstalled 11.2 yesterday (wiped / and kept /home). Now when I launch Evolution, it asks me to either create a new account, or to load an archive (which I don't think I have).Why can't it find my mails and calendar? It looks to me like everything is present in the .evolution folder in my home.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhere do I look to change the calendar preference in Gnome Shell from Evolution to Osmo? I have uninstalled Evolution and installed Osmo. I have looked in all of the settings available in System Settings, Tweak Advanced Settings, Alacarte, and Configuration Editor (gconf-editor), but I am obviously overlooking something.
Is it safe to delete all references to evolution when I find them in gconf-editor? I assume I would have to do that as root since it does not seem like trying to do so as a regular user works.
What I want to do is when I click on the date/time on the top bar and select "Open Calendar", Osmo will open. Right now I just get a message: "Execution of 'evolution' failed: command not found." Of course it would fail since I removed evolution. However, I can't seem to find out where to change it to look for Osmo instead.
Evolution has balked at every webaddress I've thrown at it: Example: Code: Could not connect to imap.google.com (port imaps): Host lookup failed: imap.google.com: Name or service not known same thing happened for smtp as well as the canonical names provided by nslookup.
I was able to succeed in connecting my email finally by using the IP provided by nslookup, but still am unable to get my google Calendar to connect: Code: Cannot open calendar: Unexpected HTTP status code 2 returned (Cannot resolve hostname (www.google.com)) No proxy settings configured in Evolution or Fedora and none needed. Lemme know what else I can provide.
If i use my Ubuntu some times per week, there isn't any problem. But if i don't use it for a short time (a week), when i want use it again and select it on GRUB.. after the first loading screen (on Ubuntu 10.04 the purple screen with Ubuntu in white and some points under), my screen is black. The computer screen is receiving signal because the led is green and not brown/orange like when is on standby mode. On Windows i haven't any problem.
First time it happened with Ubuntu 9.10. I didn't got solution for it and i format the partition and install the 10.04. But now it happen again with 10.04. I have an ATI 5770 and i have tried drivers since 9.12 till 10.4 (last ones the best i have had) On versions before 9.10 i had no problem, but i can't confirm that, because i had other graphic card (NVIDIA 9800GT). But the 5770 didn't work well on previous version so i updated to 9.10 and after this problem, updated to 10.04.
At spanish forum, people don't know solution for this problem, they never read about a similar problem. I hope you know a solution for it, because the only one i found and work is.. format and reinstall.
When I print receipts from certain company's emails, they span three pages or more bloated with images, links and overly large text. I can view the message in plain text by setting the preferences to only display text instead of html, but it doesn't affect what is printed. I still get the full HTML page printed. Is there a way to force evolution to print in plain text instead of HTML?

View 6 Replies View RelatedUp until recently in Evolution email I was able to "Print to File" any email. Now it fails to produce any file with no error message. However if I use "print preview" then print it reports an error that is has no permission to access the directory.
This happens for any directory, including those whcih it used to print to.
The only recent change, apart from accepting recommended updates, is that I removed my gnome keyring password so I didn't have to type a password whenever Evolution started. But after I added a password back in, the problem still occurs.
Has anyone gotten evolution to work with gmail imap? Mine says it is connecting but it never downloads any messages nor does it give any errors. I'd sure like to make it work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is about the 3rd or 4th year that I have tried to fill in my Federal tax return on the IRS website using Ubuntu/Firefox/pdf program(s). Still to this day the PDF functions found available (or should I say unavailable) (whether using either EVINCE or ACROREAD) for this O/S will not properly function in allowing you to CONSISTENTLY complete a PDF IRS form on their website, print and then save that completed IRS form to the hard drive of your computer. This is sort of ridiculous! Yes, I have report this as a bug NUMEROUS times and it is still not fixed.

"Failed to print document
Printing is not supported on this printer."
Ubuntu Natty amd64 italian.indicator applet for evolution doesn't work at all.No green color and counter(s) always 0 when new mail arrives.Also tried in guest session to have new configuration for evolution with no success.
