View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I open an open office document from an NFS share it always opens as readonly. This was a problem I had on Arch linux and the fix was to change the locking options in the soffice script but I've tried that fix here and it doesn't work. I've seen a lot of discussions but they all go back to changing the locking options in soffice, has anyone got any alternative fixes or one that definitely works with locking?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have made some plots in gnuplot that I wanted to include in a document. I have tried both OpenOffice and Kile.
In openoffice the plots are shown when they are imported, but when I save the document and open it up again the plots are gone (unable to read).
In Kile I can't even import them, It cant find the file in the folder. I tried changing the formats from jpg to png - didn't work. Tried just taking a snapshot of the original plot and saving it, didn't work either (but have used the same method earlier today without problems for a different image).
When i move the cursor across the file, it fades away as if it's not registered correctly. Does anybody have a solution for this?
I'm running Open Office 3.2.0. Does anybody know how to change the background color of an entire Open Office document? I know that you can change the background of a page in the Format >> Page menu, but this does not change the color of the page area inside the margins. Normally it wouldn't make much sense to change the background color when it just gets print to a page anyway. But I actually wanted to export the document to PDF, and was thinking it would make the PDF look better if I could pick the BG color.

OpenSUSE 11.4 / kernel 2.6.37.1-1.2-desktop / Gnome 2.32.1
Video: Intel 945G (on motherboard)
Monitor: Acer AL1716 @ 1024x768
Driver: whatever 11.4 auto-installed for the card
Having a strange video problem after recently up-ing to 11.4. When new windows open maximized, they are opening at the wrong size (slightly too small) resulting in a distorted view including 'broken' fonts (missing pixels). If I unmaximize the new window, and then re-maximize it, it now maximizes to the correct size and everything is fine.
Here [URL].. it says that you need to provide a block size to open an archive. What does that mean, and what would be a good number to use?
