It looks like one can do it by selecting all files and using one of the schemes like " %a - %b/%n - %t " but to be absolutely honest I have no clue how it works. I'd like to fill up all selected files' tags with Artist, Title, Album, Year, Track# and Genre. How can one do it ?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just used EasyTAG 2.1.5 under Ubuntu 9.10 to update the tags on my music files running on Rhythmbox 0.12.5, and now Rhythmbox shows that the runtimes (Time) of dozens of my mp3's are now 27:03:11. That means Rhythmbox thinks all those songs are 27 hours, 3 minutes, and 11 seconds long, which they are not. Some are now shown as 54:06:23. So far they are all playing correctly, but the slider at the top of the Rhythmbox window barely moves, making it difficult, if not impossible, to jump to different points in the songs. Nothing else seems to have been affected.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having some problems editing the meta data tags of some music files. The problem is that i am unable to get some files to show up in either EasyTag or Musicbrainz. Problem is when i go to 'add folder/file' i can't see the songs while browsing.
From what i have observed it seems that the songs for which this is an issue are those which i have converted using sound converter. Here it seems that it is the same files in both programmes so i am thinking that there must be something i can do to the file to have it be recognised.
how I would go about centering the text in the title bar for the Ambiance theme. Currently it is on the left side after the buttons, but I want to center it in the middle of the bar. Does anyone know how I could accomplish this?

What I am trying to do is remove the title bar completely in gnome, it would be nice to be able to choose which applications had the bar and which did not, but I would be perfectly satisfied with just removing them from every window. I assume this is controlled by the window manager which would make it a metacity setting? Anyway, I have an 11in screen on my netbook and I cannot stand having such a big chunk of real estate wasted by such a useless feature, especially when I can perform all the window functions with keyboard shortcuts.

As expected it's only Windows and (soon) Mac, BUT it WILL run on Linux under Wine with only a couple of oddities. (Such as not being able to see the text on dropdown menus and title bars. If you click into a book it'll load for reading, you just can't see any of the menuing.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI wish to remove title bar from maximized windows. It's mostly empty and takes screenspace, and now there's this Panel Buttons application, allowing me to have Close, Minimize and Maximize in the panel instead.
The program Maximus does the job, but there's a bug in it, sometimes making the panel invisible when closing windows. Compiz has a function disabling Emerald in maximized windows, but it requires having the ability of activating visual effects - which my graphic card drivers won't allow. The window manager OpenBox has a similar function but it's not permanent and besides I wasn't satisfied with it for different other reasons.

after upgrading from Karmic Koala 9.10 to Lucid Lynx 10.04, i notice something different with title bar on every window opened.
for example:
"Google - Mozilla Firefox" is not at the middle of the window title. and on Lynx it's on the left.
So when I upgraded to Slack64 13.1 on my asus MB homebrewed desktop and Slack 13.1 on my compaq presario a900 laptop, I started having issues with the xterm title (in Terminal--not Konsole) being too dynamic. By "too dynamic" I mean that I can't actually change the title. The dynamic title (from my .bashrc) is basically just pwd. Whenever I try to set the title (via terminal->set title (menu)), I changes it for a split second, and then reverts back to the dynamic title.
This is merely a petty annoyance, so to get around it, I added an xtitle function that I grabed somewhere online (just echos "�33]0;$*�07"). So for nano-ing some file, I'd type:xtitle some_file.txt; nano some_file.txt
That works just fine (kind of annoying to type though). running xtitle alone won't actually change the name either though (I'm pretty sure it's the same command as what terminal does anyway). That is, running: xtitle some_file.txt
changes the title for a split second, and the reverts back to my old pwd.What I really want is to have it dynamically name it "some_file.txt" whenever I use nano, but that appears to be a functionality of zsh (with the preexec() fxn).I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if you have a fix for it.
I installed EasyTAG using the Ubuntu Software Center. It works but I'd like to have an audio player play the selected file. I tried the command "xmms -p" but xmms wasn't installed. I tried to install it only to find it was now xmms2 and nyxmms2 or something like that. That led me to Esperanza. Typically I can't find an good documentation on EasyTAG. (Is anyone surprised?) I just want to put a player in "Audio File Player" in the EasyTAG settings that will play the tune I've selected. Seems easy enough but if I put Rhythmbox, audacious2 or Esperanza, the app runs but the song doesn't play nor is it selected. I've spent about 3 hours of my day Googling for a solution. No way. Why is this so freakin' difficult?

Everything worked 100% great untill I change color depth to 16 bits.I do not want 24 Bits, I want 16 Bits. I have good reasons. Never had this problem in Gutsy 7.10 ...I deeply regret in upgrading to 9.10 ...

Changes to xorg.conf file: Firstly, I saved it at 16 color depth with the sudo nvidia-settings and by clicking on the save to xorg.conf file Button. Rebooted computer....... It worked, saved file, and I got the following bugs:
*Cannot move windows by dragging their title bars.
*Cannot see close "X" Button in the title bar.
*Cannot see Minimize Button in the title bar.
*Cannot see Maximize Button in the title bar.
Went back to 24 bits and problem got resolved. Then i tryed: I did sudo gedit xorg.conf I changed all the 24's with 16's ... Rebooted computer....... It works GOOD... BUT: I got the same bugs from before. I will retype them below

I just reinstalled TWM on one of my Debian boxes, and it's suddenly got a huge (*HUGE*) title bar. Must be 32px or so. But the font's the same as it always was. Is there a way to get it back to normal?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAnother hair-pulling WTF moment... All I wanted to do is add a title to the start of a screencast, nice words overlaying the screen vid. In kdenlive:
1. Project menu > Add title clip
2. Format text etc.
3. Set the title clip's background opacity to 0 = (should be?) fully transparent.
4. Put the clip on the timeline, on a higher track than the screen vid.
5. kdenlive obliterates the screen and displays the text with a black background.
There has got to be an easy way to do this. kdenlive.org documentation seems outdated (their screenshots look different from the version I got from synaptic). Do I really have to make the title in GIMP like some webpages say? I can do it, but that's idiotic. kden should be able to do it.

I don`t know what kind of combination of keys I pressed, but the title bar of all windows in my Gnome vanished. Trying to fix it, I unmarked the option "show menu bar" in one of my windows. Then, I realised I couldn`t put it back either. It`s kind of frustating be stuck in such a small problem, but Gnome isn`t offering me any easy way to put these things back in place. maybe with a keyboard combination of keys that recovers all of this?
I did it, it recovered Gnome windows default, but the menus are still gone. It just erased my customizations (colors, window color, bar size, etc.)
I only just upgraded to Squeeze and am now running Fluxbox 1.1.1. The toolbar is acting strangely, though, and I can't seem to find a solution online.
An example: I open Iceweasel, Thunar, and Icedove. If Iceweasel has focus, its window title will be on the left side of the toolbar. If I switch applications, and put that Thunar window in focus, the Thunar window title because the most-left item on the toolbar. I focus Icedove, Icedove's window title becomes the most left object on the toolbar and so on.
Has anybody tried using easytag under fc12? In my case it does not load any mp3 files. It works fine with Ogg and flac files though..

I have 2 lists of names, they aren't sorted, and may contain repeats.What I would like to do with a bash script is compare the 2 documents and find and remove each repeat name, saving only one of them. Then concatenate the files. Or if it were easier, concatenate first and find and remove all internal repeats.
