I installed tinyos-2.x in Ubuntu lucid. I tried to simulate tossim environment for simple Blink application using the command: make micaz sim and ended up with the following error:
mkdir -p simbuild/micaz
make: python2.5-config: Command not found
make: python2.5-config: Command not found
make: python2.5-config: Command not found
and
Python.h: No such file or directory
and

Eventually installed python-old-doctools package which supposedly includes python2.5-config package but alas! It doesn't compile yet.
I've been trying to add (via terminal) a ppa:<name> from this site (finally got around to getting a Wacom Bamboo), but every time I try to do as it suggests, I get the following error:
Code:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hughescih/ppa
sudo: add-apt-repository: command not found
I found I already had this installed, but to double-check,I've uninstalled and re-installed it to make sure, and still to no avail. I wasn't sure if I'm still missing something or what the deal may be.
so i was removing softwares using ubuntu software center.. games i don't play and cheese webcam booth because it was not working, i intended to re-install it. after my installation, half my icons (i have extensively personalized my desktop) changed to defaults. The themes page said 'theme will not be as it appears because default.kde is not installed'. i did not remove any such package. just games. and furthermore, i installed a kubuntu plasma desktop system which i read in a thread contains the file default.kde but that hasn't helped and i still don't know what do to..

I installed all that I was asked to install. However, when I was installing libcss, it said that "Package libparserutils was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing 'libparserutils.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable". I have already installed libparsercutils but not in the /usr/lib dir.
What should I do to continue my installation? And anyone could tell me what are those lib stuff? I installed zlib with the apt-get install command. Can I get other lib stuff with the same command?

I'm running Fedora 10 [KDE] on an Acer laptop and am having problems configuring "hot keys" for it. First thing that needs to be mentioned is that the hotkeys used to work when I was running it on Gnome without me having to do anything. I assumed that this will be the case with KDE too. In any case, I think driver installation is supposed to be quite straight forward. There are two packages: acer_acpi and acerhk and different installation instructions for each one of them. The problem I am having is when I run the makefile script for either one of these, I get the following output in the terminal:
Quote:
Makefile: line 5: KERNELSRC?=/lib/modules/2.6.27.9-159.fc10.x86_64/build: No such file or directory
Makefile: line 6: KERNELSRC: command not found

I think build-essential and some other packages are normally needed, but since you can't get them for Fedora (?), I groupinstalled "Development Tools" and some other group.
I installed cdroast that came with ubuntu and received the following:Warning: No root configuration file found or not readable! The superuser must start and configure X-CD-Roast first, before other users can use it.
I searched and found that the root configuration was turned off in some versions and uninstalled, then found a good version at http://www.xcdroast.org/ but when I tried to install from a *.tar.gz and after I ran a ./config.I downloaded glib-2.24.0.tar.gz and got a successful install, and I still receive the GLIB error. If the problem is GLIB_CONFIG environment variable, I do not know how to change that. I cannot locate glib-config either.
i wanted to change the opacity settings in compiz config settings manager (i read it in the forum post that i can change opacity using compiz settings) when i opened the ccsm, i did not find the opacity settings in general options...do i have to update or upgrade?

Makefile:38: *** Cannot find development files for any supported version of libnl. Stop. I read the Readme file and it says: "To build IW, just enter make. If that fails, set the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable to allow the Makefile to find libnl". I guess the problem is linking Makefile (in iw-0.9.19 directory) to libnl (version 1.1 correctly installed on xubuntu) via pkg_config_file.

I know my way around MS Windows much better, but I just don't feel right trying to program something for Android on a Microsoft operating system. I am interested in Android programming so I followed the instructions on [URL] to install the environment on my computer...
I just installed the JDK, SDK, Eclipse successfully (or I assume):
* When I get to Step 4 where I'm supposed to run 'android' it will not run. I get the error message "android: command not found" (I am definitely in the right directory).

I've been trying to install the gmagick extension for days now without success. I always end up with the same error message:
checking GraphicsMagick configuration program... configure: error: not found. Please provide a path to GraphicsMagick-config program.
ERROR: '/tmp/pear/temp/gmagick/configure --with-gmagick' failed
It's no wonder why I get this message as the location simply does not exists, its being unpacked to 'gmagick-1.0.3b2' and not 'gmagick'. I've tried to copy/paste the configuration file (config.m4?) to my manually created 'gmagick' directory within the temp folder but that didn't solve anything.
Command when installing:
Code:
pecl install gmagick-1.0.3b2

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install wxsqlite3-2.0.2 on my Debian machine. I have installed wxGTK-2.8.11 in the folder: /home/mrj2/wxGTK-2.8.11
When I run the wxsqlite3-2.0.2 configure script, a problem arises due to the fact that wxGTK is expected to be in a specific directory. The wx-config file cannot be found. However, there are copies of these files for each type of build in the folders:
/home/mrj2/wxGTK-2.8.11/GCCBuildDebugGTK2
/home/mrj2/wxGTK-2.8.11/GCCBuildDebugGTK2Unicode
/home/mrj2/wxGTK-2.8.11/GCCBuildReleaseGTK2
/home/mrj2/wxGTK-2.8.11/GCCBuildReleaseGTK2Unicode
/home/mrj2/wxGTK-2.8.11/GCCBuildReleaseMacUnicode
There is not a problem with my wxGTK installation as I use it in DialogBlocks and it works fine.
