how do I remove the files from there and replace the files with the paid version?
if I do a sh. /runLime.sh it will run the install every time I load the shortcut command.

this will opn up their license agreement, pages and pages of txt. at the end type yes, it'll literaly say done, when its completed.
now, if you didnt download Limewire already then download from www.limewire.comand put it in your directory somewhere

Last night I was using Ubuntu just downloading music with Limewire and it was all working fine until I clicked on a a song to download and a message popped up saying something like "This computer doesn't have a file for Limewire downloads", I am not exactly sure on how it said it but it had something to do with the File System. Since it was so late I just decided to leave it like that and deal with it in the morning.
I woke up and when I started Ubuntu and it says "File System not found", and something about pressing Control-D. Sorry for the lack of info I just don't remember exactly what it said, but like I mentioned above it has something to do with the File System that apparently isnt working. I decided to re-install Ubuntu and it worked great, I am using ubuntu right now but it doesn't have any of the setting and apps etc etc that I had on the other one.
When I restart the computer and the dual-boot menu comes up it has 2 types of ubuntu, this one that works and the other one that everytime I click on it it keeps showing me the "File System not found". Is there any way to fix my old version of Ubuntu 9.10? And if I cant then how can I delete the damaged version of Ubuntu so it doesn't come up in the Dual-Boot screen? And I also have Windows 7 on it, how can I delete that one also?
Runing Lucid Lynx,10-4 This is the 3rd time this summer I have tried to view/download a movie and I am required to download 'limewire.exe' or 'FLVPro.exe'. Is there something I can reconfigure that will trick the website into thinking everything is cool and let me watch the movie?

In the Fedora 11 documentation, it was said clearly that it was not possible to upgrade from 9 to 11. The Fedora 12 documentation was buggy, see #547070 In the Fedora 13 documentation, it is only mentioned from Fedora 12 to 13, but it's not clear whether one can upgrades from F11 to F13.

But the priority of the 'KDE-4.4' repository is 80, whereas the priority of the '11.2_Update' repository is 98, so i would think that the 'KDE-4.4' version would show up as a newer version available for upgrading to. i cannot see the konqueror-4.4.4-3.4 version in 'Software Management' and what i can do to fix this?
2 hours later and my system was upgraded. No problems. Only thing was that there is no splash screen. For about 10 seconds a blinking cursor and a purple background with UBUNTU on it.Don't know if this is normal.

The problem is due to a dependency issue with libqt4-assistant and ktorrent. aptutide offer me a solution to remove these two packages, as well as some other packages that seem important to me, and leave package kubuntu-desktop with unresolved dependencies. II don't know what that lib is needed for, but I use ktorrent every day. So this solution seems like a bad one to me.
How to upgrade to KDE 4.5 and keep ktorrent? Or is it better to wait for Kubuntu 10.10 release and then do a distro upgrade (which will surely get round the problem)?

What if I use do-release-upgrade, Do i have to configure each and every settings again or do-release-upgrade will automatically migrate all my settings.
I've recently done a full installation of 10.04 on my machine. Not too long after, I applied for a free 10.10 CD that Ubuntu offers instead of donwloading it due to no internet access.
How can I upgrade from 10.04 to 10.10 using the free CD that Ubuntu mailed to me?
I don't really want to consider doing a clean installation again as I have important programs and plug-ins installed on my current version.
How do I upgrade Xubuntu over the internet? I don't want to have to download torrents and stuff, but when I tried to upgrade via the update manager, it started upgrading to Ubuntu 11.04 instead of Xubuntu. Now it's just sitting here telling me I have over a thousand updates available even though I never typed yes to the upgrade (I started it at the command line). I don't know how to shut it down.
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. It actually was upgrading to xubuntu after all.

This was remedied by removing that directory and letting KDE recreate it followed by me painstakingly migrating files one by one to get all my settings, mail, etc. under the new version of KDE. I currently have 5.1.6, all I need is verson 5.2 or higher, it is a requirement of some software I want to install. View 1 Replies View RelatedI had downloaded a DVD disk with Fedora 12 on it (~3.7 gig) therabouts. I used it to upgrade my F11 system to F12 or so I think. Well to make a long story short, it had installed approx 1435 files on to my computer. I never so it finish up the process because my moniter timed out and I could get it back on after it had blanked out. So I rebooted the computer (after I had removed the DVD). It showed F12 booting up but the splash screen with logon was F11's. After I logged on my nvidia driver was gone along with compiz and Avant. So I followed 'leigh123linux' response on 'Nvidia' and get it reinstalled and working along with Avant, and compiz and my rotating cube desktop. I did a yum clean to cllean up the packages and ran yum update again to refresh what may have not been installed. It show a couple hundred packages needed to be upgraded and also had alot of 'dependency' errors' for a lot of the packages. That's where I stand now. Is it 11 or still 12? Did the DVD upgrade work? Who nows.
