I just installed Presenter Console 1.1 extension for oofffice impress. I would like to view notes while showing the slide show. I think I should be able to do this even when my CPU is not connected to a projector. However, I do not know how to activate the mode for viewing notes. I can see that the extension is installed by going to tools-Extension Extension Manager (the extension is locked and the disable and activate buttons are grayed out?).
Can anyone tell me what names the tomboy notes application gives to its notebooks and notes? Not the file format (xml) I found that on the web, but the filenames and directory where it stores things.
I'm getting a "Server Error Something has gone wrong (500)" when i try to access the notes page for several days now. When will it be OK?

The goal woulb de to have a USB stick, bootable on any system, containing a local webserver to host various offline versions of websites. This stick can then be used to show demos of websites to people, even if they don't have an internet connection.
I have a server Linux/Centos 5.3 who I have formed it like server of data with samba for a network with 5 Windows XP terminals; desire to know if it is also possible to form this equipment like server anti-virus multiplatform so that it can look for virus (and clean) to the terminals win xp.
I was looking for by the network on this subject, but I have not had favorable results, please if somebody could help with some Link or tutorial me that has found.
I used linux for a long time now, mostly ubuntu-based distros but these days I decided to try openSUSE. Must say, It is a really nice distro, with lots of new features. There is one that I never seen before but I admit it is very useful: the auto resize window feature. I use the 11.3 (KDE) (milestone 4) version. Just wanted to ask if this is a package for ths or is hard-coded into the system? And is it KDE-specific?
I have managed to get Compiz Desktop Cube working with 4 viewports. Everything is great but I have noticed the that cube will show the running applications in the bottom panel, from the previously active viewport, on all sides of the cube.
Anyone know how to set it so that the bottom panel on each side of the cube displays only the applications that are running in the currently visible viewport? I hope that's clear because I'm not 100% sure of the terminology.er to determine the viewport you are looking for.
I would like to ask the following: 1) ls -l |grep test -> this will grep every "ls -l" output line 2) ls -1 |xargs grep test -> this will grep every single file with test 3) ls -1 |xargs echo -> this will echo directory list 4) ls -1 |echo -> this does nothing!!!
My question is: how some command can receive input from "both sides" (grep can grep whole output or every single file - xargs, the same is for i.e. wc command). 4) echo does nothing (it's a single echo command).
I have written a CGI script which prints 2 tags at either end of the screen (actually they are the "Previous page" and "Next page" links for either end of the screen). The left one is under a <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> and the right one <DIV ALIGN="RIGHT"></DIV>. Unfortunately they don't line up on screen - the left "Previous page" text is one line higher than the "Next page" link - I tried putting in a <NOBR> tag between them but it didn't work - can someone tell me what to do?
I am running 10.04 Lucid on a Toshiba Satellite A105. The onboard video is an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950. The issue is that when I connect it to my Panasonic widescreen TV (laptop is widescreen as well) the display is shrunk and has a lot of unused space on the sides/top/bottom. So like, if I wanna watch something from Hulu, I plug in the S-Video, and I can watch on the TV, but it's not using all the screen available... I have not found a way to resize the output so it fills the screen.
It stretches the parts of the 3d object to the sides of the viewing area. This makes Google Earth almost impossible to use. I have a video of Google Earth's problem here: [URL] Here's a screenshot of it in GLChess: screenshot_001.jpg I am running Ubuntu 10.06 Lucid Lynx on an old HP dv5000 laptop. It has ATI Radeon graphics.
I gave a directory the name of "file". I then did a "cd /home/daryl/file" which placed me in "file". I then renamed the directory to "file test". When I do an "ls/home/daryl" the directory "file test" shows up. But when I do a "cd /home/daryl/file test" I get a "No such file or directory". Why are we allowed to name a directory with 2 seperated words and the directory can be listed with 2 seperated words but those 2 seperated words are not recognized as a legitimate name when doing a "cd"?
Another question is, can I add a "memo" or "note" to a directory name without having the memo be recognized as part of the name? In other words, I name a directory "important-stuff" but I want to include a memo that changes the name to "important-stuff (do not put dumb stuff in this directory)". Can I do something like this in such a way that I can "cd" to the directory by only typing "important-stuff"?
How can I start a program from tty1 console text mode to be executed in tty2 console text mode? Actualy I would like to start a program (chat client cli program) in tty8 automaticaly when linux PC boots.
I just recently learned about the wonderful little lpr command- and using man -t (bash command) to beautifully print man pages for reference- but is there a way to print both sides of the paper using a printer so equipped?
I saved my entire home directory of 11.1 before installing 11.2.I am slowly recovering everything, but it seems that Tomboy doesn't use ~/.tomboy anymore.I copy that directory from my saved dir to my new homedir and it ignores it. I then deleted the .tomboy dir from my new homedir and created a new note. It didn't recreate ~/.tomboy.So, is there any way to copy my notes from 11.1 to 11.2?
I am looking for a more up-to-date notes manager than NoteCase notes manager, I like the hierarchical(outliner type) but am open to suggestions.I would like to be able to export into a standard text format.I have tried BasKet Note pads quite nice but doesn't export into standard text.
My professor uploads presentations in PDF form but I'm not sure how to add notes to the slides using Ubuntu. Does anyone have any preferred applications.
Virgin install of F13. Rsync (copy) notes from backup harddisk of F12 to /home/bill/.gnote. Release notes say "Notes stored in previous versions are automatically migrated from .gnote to .local/share/gnote in the users home directory." Nothing is migrating anywhere. Before I start messing about. I have I missed something dumb?
I am running Lotus Notes on top of openSuSE since 10.3 and version 7 of Lotus Notes. The last packages provided by IBM (8.5 and 8.5.1) provide a smooth and easy way of installing it through rpm packages. Some issues had appear and I solved them (or lived with ), but this time I did a full fresh install of 11.2 64bits. I then install the brand new packages of Notes 8.5.1 and had the following problem : The Notes GUI wasn't able to display some elements of the interface (i.e. small view of calendar, search bar, popups, Notes basic settings in the properties etc...). Searching by big blue, I found out a solution for Ubuntu that I customized for openSuSE 11.2 64bits.
Step one : Install Lotus Notes: Have a copy of the .tar package from IBM. untar it into a new directory. With YaST add the directory to the repositories Install all the packages provided (the ones with Symphony are really optional).
I remember installing basket notes in ubuntu and it's in kde4 I tried installing it in 11.4 64bit and it's in kde3. Is there a way to install it dressed up in kde4?
I want to save notes against a file on linux... i want to save meta data about a file..because the file names are restricted in max length...So how to save notes or comments about a file on linux so that it gets saved along with the file itself...I used the notes tab in the file properties dialogbox.. but that way the notes stick to the file only on that OS only.. if i open that file in another linux os.. those comments/notes are gone...Way to embedd these notes into the file so that i dont lose them ever..At lease a solution that makes this possible on switching linux distros. if its not portable enough that these notes stick b/w windows and linux its ok for me.. but atleast if i format my linux os.. atleast i shouldnt lose those important notes..and be able to access on newer linux..
And i also have no idea if this notes tab was implemented to be linked with the OS only.. i dont see much use of it.. and a normal user also has noway to know this.. i also came to know on superuser chat from a buddy.. @Sathya ..this thing is more useless especially if u use ubuntu which has 6 months timeline..and crazy people like me who are always eager to upgrade their os as soon a new one is available..and any way i can search these notes from the terminal?
I am trying to get Notes to run on Ubuntu 9.10 karmic x64 and haven't had any luck. I started off by following the steps from the following location [URL] This didn't work and I had the symptoms listed below. I then looked at the following guide and did all the steps that were not on the above link: [URL] However I still had the same issue. So the symptoms:
1) I don't see notes in the apps->office menu, but I am able to start it via:
cd /opt/ibm/lotus/notes/framework ../notes
2) I get the login window and am able to go through the setup (pointing to the notes id file, and my domino server etc). However at the end of it all, no GUI is displayed. Even though lnotes shows up in the running processes.
3) In the terminal window I get the following error:
My laptop has 10.4 and desktop has 10.10.My HD is damaged due a power surge. However, I was lucky to access my ubuntu home directory. How can I move my Tomboy notes from my laptop to desktop.
I'm trying to delete all of my notes on the server. I've gone to "Notes" (along the top bar) and deleted them one by one. It now says, "You have 0 notes. Get setup!". Going back to "Dashboard", I see:
Files 0 bytes Contacts 0 Notes 6.
I'm deleting all these because when I connected to the server, it got confused and started downloading from the server when it was supposed to be uploading from my machine. That caused me a bit of panic, you might imagine. How can I make sure this doesn't happen again??
