Software :: Locate - Squirrelmail Log Files ?
Aug 13, 2010I am trying to locate, if they exist, the SquirrelMail log files. If they are generated, where would their location be?

View 1 RepliesAnyway, the issue that I am having is that when running GDB, the program will execute perfectly fine if I allow it to run without breakpoints if I skip stepping through the function using the 'n' command, but it will provide me with the following error if I try to step through it:
35 srand( time(NULL));
(gdb) s
time () at ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/x86_64/time.S:32
32 ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/x86_64/time.S: No such file or directory.
in ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/x86_64/time.S
This happens not just for time() but for every function that would be found in the included libraries.
I included stdlib in the code, and in fact this code works perfectly fine on another system using Ubuntu 10.04 and GDB. The source paths are identical between these two machines as well ( $cdir:$cwd ).
I am running Mandriva x64 and the nepoumuk file indexing was causing system hangups (in addition to not returning any results) so i disabled it. However kfind is not returning any results either - i feel a bit stupid and I'm sure there's a simple answer to this but How do i locate files under Mandriva linux? Is there a simple KDE application for that or do i need to look at kfind settings? Does file search only work with indexed database?

I do the same on my machine and I get nothing. I do a regular search from the menu on my machine and I find quite a few pdf files. Would somebody please tell me what am I doing wrong?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI used my colleges online site to automatically install and setup the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client. Everything went smoothly. I have a Cisco icon in my system tray and it says that I am connected to the VPN.
My question then is where do I access the VPN? I am assuming that I can access the other computers at the other end of the VPN as I would if they were networked to me, however I cannot seem to find any information on how this is done after the connection is made.
I looked in the Network folder which is where I figured everything would be, but there is nothing other than the normal, empty, network folders.
I am running Linux Mint 9, KDE 4.4
My friend Google let me down, and every VPN how to I can find ends at the "connected" stage, never getting into details about where to go from there...
I work with this travel company that host sites for different agents. They have ALL the sites in one directory and each site has its own search.php file. How can I locate, and change all the search.php files permissions to 644 in one shot? Is this possible maybe with the find command? I read the man page for this but I am not sure how to write out the command.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am on Ubuntu 11.04 and using Libre Office 3.3.2 to compose new documents and am saving them using .doc, .ppt and .xls files. (due to having to share them with others who are on Windows systems)
I have a lot of doc files and I need to search for text INSIDE these files. I am perplexed with the fact that no search tool is able to search for text INSIDE these file types. "cat" can display them of course, but grep is not able to locate text INSIDE these file types. I even tried to save a .doc file as an .odt file, but no luck. The Applications>Accessories>Search for Files does not search INSIDE doc, xls or ppt with the option "Contains the text".
Forever I've been able to use "locate" to find files, but now it finds NOTHING at all and I have no clue why.. I tried apt-get install locate and it installed it, but it's not working in bash.

i added the port i had setup on the firewall, but still nothing.
now i installed xinetd, but i cant find much on how to set it up.
i have postfix installed for my mail server and that does work.
My problem is quite simple, when I set up squirrelmail I only had one user on the server, and now that I have created new users, I can not log in to their accounts via squirrelmail I am using Maildir System is 10.04 server, running postfix and dovecot. I origionaly set up 'remote' as a user, I can send and recive mail on that account and log into squirrelmail
any new accounts can send email to remote(via outlook/thunderbird), to be seen in Squirrelmail, but get an invalid username/password when I try to log into squirrelmail in short, new accounts can not log into squirrelmail
I have setup squirrelmail but I am unable to view any of my attached jpegs(pjpeg) - red x. Has anyone elde seen or heard of this issue?
I can view text ok abd download the image. is the pjpeg something built into php that i have not installed / config'd?
Is there a way to change the default theme/gui for SquirrelMail to something newer and more fresh ? I really like the gui on RoundCube, but SquirrelMail has been here longer and has more features, but I will use RoundCube if I can't change it(end users will be more satisfied if it looks better).

I have a Ubuntu 10.4 server box running Postfix and dovecot. I use Squirrelmail as a web interface. It all works great except that sent mail from squirrelmail has exactly 12 hour difference. Example I send an email at 3:00pm it shows up in sent items as 3:00 am
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm running Fedora 12 on x86_64. I've installed squirrelmail, along with dovecot on my office server, and cannot access it through http://localhost/webmail. I have followed all the configuration steps I could find (including http://www.server-world.info/en/note...12&p=httpd&f=7).
I know that everything else is working (I can send and receive mail, access IMAP mailboxes, webserver is working), browsing to
http://localhost/webmail
just gives me
"Problem loading page"
in Firefox. Sometimes, however the message is "Unable to connect."
I will add that I already tried installing Squirrelmail on another (i686) machine and had exactly the same problem.
/var/log/httpd/error_log says:
File does not exist: /var/www/html/squirrelmail
This makes it seem like aliasing is not working somehow.
My organisation is running squirrelmail on a redhat server. When users are created , at that time the admin sets a password. Thereafter the user can login to his account using the password. But he can't change it as is the case with gmail or yahoo mail. Also the password for any account is known to the admin in addition to the user himself - a weak security arrangement !So what I wish to do is provide a way for users to change his password anytime he wants and also during the first login - as is normally done in banking sites, etc

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen try to deployed squirrelmail, configured display language to "Chinese Simp" or "Chinese Trad", it could not display mail folder and reported "Reason Given: GB2312 character set is not supported." Checked locale/zh_CN[zh_TW]/LC_MESSAGES/squirrelmail.po, file charset encode is utf-8, also locale/zh_CN[zh_TW]/setup.php charset to utf-8, but at functions/i18n.php, it used charset of zh_CN/zh_TW to gb2312/big5. after changed it to utf-8, it working fine. However, all messages received is corrupted characters in chinese
Either the title is corrupted characters, or information is corrupted characters.
I am quite new to Squirrelmail but got it working at the first place. Then, with the intention to secure login and data flow, I downloaded and installed the secure login plugin. However, just right after that, I started to get "the connection was interrupted" messages in firefox. I guess that it has something to do with SSL, probably I need to configure that in Apache, not sure. Unfortunately the README and INSTALL files are rather compact in the plugin and I struggle to find a step-by-step tutorial on what needs to be done in order to make it work.Would someone be able to give me a hint on where to find such an information or tell me what else I need to do besides the 3 points written in INSTALL?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have configured SquirrelMail on my RHEL 5.4 machine for learning purpose and I am stucked at the final step. I am following this doc.
After configuring, I have browsed to [URL] Here, server.red.com is the hostname of my server.
This page is asking Name and Password from me, but I haven't given any credentials while configuring it.
Are there any default credentials ? Or may be I need to change my config files or something ?
I am using Squirrelmail version 1.4.9a.When I run conf.pl to enable or disable plugins, changes don't reflect into config.php file. Because of that, I have to manually change config.php.

I only have ssh access and have installed squirrelmail using "yum install squirrelmail" which seemed to go ok but when I try to invoke it on any domain produces a blank page.
I have looked at various installation tutorials but all seem to take it from initial compilation etc which I haven't had to do. IMAP is already set up.
Trying to install and configure a webserver - With Postfix, Courier, MySQL And Squirrelmail. But I am stuck. Postfix mail system is not running. It seems to execute /etc/init.d/postfix start, but it really did not. reload; fatal: the Postfix mail system is not running. And in mail.log is that:
Master.cf: line 40: bad transport type: smtp_data_d$_done_timeout=1200
I setup my mail system on a clean install of Postfix and Dovecot from URl...on the:URL... part everything checks out yet when i input the details into Apple Mail it tells me That it Can't connect.I can Connect via Squirrelmail and telnet but not through mail.also my /var/log/mail.log s not recording anything and my mail.log.1 only goes up to april 6
View 2 Replies View RelatedI set up a mail server today. Everything works except I can't access the damn squirrelmail web interface from the internet.
I followed this guide here: [URL]
I can access http://192.168.0.50/squirrelmail just fine from a computer on my local network.
*BUT*
When I access http://mywanip/squirrelmail, i get a connection timeout.
When I access http://mywanip, I get the standard Apache "IT WORKS!" Page. (Rules out port forwarding)
According to the guide, that should allow me to access squirrelmail from the internet on my server. Its as if Squirrelmail is only available on my local interface and not on my wan interface? How do I check?
I have setup a postfix + courier + squirrelmail email configuration. I can get to the squirrelmail login page and run its test and it said everything was fine. After that I am stuck. What is the username and password or if it is not created, how do I create it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe basics: Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid x64 with Firefox 3.6.11 on a Thinkpad T61p 2gb ram/500gb HD. When I try to access my email via Squirrelmail, Firefox hangs on loading. If I stop the page from loading, wait a few minutes, then try again, I have a 50:50 chance of it loading this time.
I've run the update to make sure I have the most recent versions of software, but it still hangs. I've tried a few cursory searches, but find nothing referencing Lucid or that is otherwise current.
running squirrelmail, postfix and dovecot, I filter out mails which are spam into a spambox and non-spam into the inbox but by default, the user is not subscribed to the spambox and therefore, the spambox is not visible to the user, how can I make it such that each time a user is created he or she is automatically subscribed to the spambox?
