I have just installed Debian "Lenny" AMD64 in my PC, but I can't find a compatible flash player for AMD64 in the adobe site, the only version I found is for i386.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWell being a newbie I have discovered something (or so I think!) regarding abode's flash plugin (flashplugin-nonfree): As per instructions from this same forum I had installed and used successfully in my Lenny 64, ever since it came out, abode's flash by first adding in my /etc/apt/sources.list the following repository: deb [URL]. Lately and for quite some time flash would misbehave and I had to reinstall it continuously and more often until it would work in the end only for some hours.
I reinstalled Lenny believing I could get over it but instead I ended up without any flash working at all! No videos only sound. Next step I deleted etch backports (#) and installed the sid repository: deb [URL] unstable main contrib non-free and went:#apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree which downloaded and installed flash 10 (I had flash 9 through backports) and consequently deleted (#) after that sid's repository to avoid updating Lenny, placing backports again in place although I do not know why ! Now I have videos working.
I have read tons of articles on how but none work. I have edited the source.list file with what they say and I have used all the terminal commands that are becoming very repetitive.

When I try to run either the install automatically or manually it fails when it is run though the installer, when I attempt to install manually I get popup notification that flash is already installed. There are also installed some standard packages but in the near future I'd like to install mysql server on the same machine. I believe that 64 bit system will be faster so I decided to change from 32 to 64 bit. how to migrate postgresql database from 32 to 64 bits. I have postgresql data dir on separate volume. Will it be possible if I just use it as it is now in new 64 bit system with the same postgresql server config files or do I have to dump data and restore it in new installation ?

i recently buy an MSI 770-45 motherboard with 4gb (2x2gb) Gskill 1600Mhz Ram. The CPU is an athlon2 x4 620, everything tested and working fine except i can`t get lenny or squeeze 64bit linux running because of kernel panics when creating ext3/ext4 partitions during install or running fsck on the system i installed on another PC and moved to this one. The boot shows a screen related to IOMMU problem saying must enable it in bios but no option related to it and no memory remapping also. The question is how i can get IOEMMU working with 4gb of RAM (if i remove one of the two modules everything is fine). I`ve tryed ioemmu=memapper/off/noagp/soft and any thing i found on the web, moving to test debian installation was my last hope really before starting to use the 32bit one, i am planning to add more RAM which with this version is just can`t be.

My problem is I can't login with the users in the sql-database, but for some strange reason, I'm allowed to loggin as anonymous. Unix users can't login either.

I just installed Adobe Flash Player 10 and it says it's installed, when I go to firefox and Epiphany it still has flash player 9, Ive quited the browsers and everything Ive uninstalled/reinstalled still no luck.

I've rebooted the web browser and even the entire system, but still the plugin does not work.

After that I installed Oracle Database 12c. It was a bigger effort to get the whole system going than initially supposed. As far as I can see it is working now. I am using pepperflash and the youtube HTML5 player on Debian Sid, on an amd64 machine. I am having a problem where the video will just black out every so often, like every minute or two, the audio still works and I need to either go forward or backward in the video to get the image back. I have noticed it on youtube videos which I suppose uses the HTML5 player not pepperflash.
