Software :: Which Chm Viewer Support Setting For Minimum Font Size

Apr 13, 2011

I have myopia. I read the documents with quite large font size (13). But some of chm viewer such as: kchmviewer, gnochm, xchm, ... open the .chm files with tiny font. I must click the Zoom in, larger button 2 --> 5 times to get the sastified font. Is there any chm viewer support setting for minimum font size?

Ubuntu Installation :: Minimum Disk Size For Automatic Partitioning?

Dec 23, 2010

I want to create several virtual machines based on a minimal (no GUI) Ubuntu installation. I'm using VirtualBox (on Windows 7), the VMs are being created with 256MB RAM and using the Ubuntu Minimal CD Image [URL]. Because I want 4-5 of these virtual machines I want to use minimal disk space for storage too, which means restricting the virtual hard disk size for each. My first attempt was to limit it to 300MB, but when I got to the partitioning section of the installer it would not allow me to do automatic partitioning and forced me to do manual partitioning, it did moan about the size of the disk.

So I started again with a 1GB virtual hard disk, this time the installer was quite happy to do the automatic partitioning. My question is how small can I make my virtual hard disk without having to do manual partitioning? I don't have a problem with doing the partitioning manually but for easiness I just want to do it automatically and find it strange the acceptable size isn't mentioned anywhere (that I could find).

Ubuntu :: Stop Mouse Clicks Being Repeated - Minimum Delay For Double Click / Debounce Setting?

Jul 7, 2010

When I click once with my bluetooth mouse (Logitech M550b), about one time in three ubuntu receives two clicks.I'm not sure if this is a problem with the mouse or a bug in the OS, but even if it is a problem with the mouse these two clicks arrive at the same time, way too quickly to be a genuine double click.I have searched everywhere (including all the options in gconf-editor) and cannot find where the debounce delay is set for mice. Debounce should ensure that two clicks occurring in rapid succession are interpreted as a single click and thereby solve my problem.

The mouse settings window and gconf-editor both have a setting for 'maximum double click delay', but nothing for 'minimum double click delay' (AKA debounce delay). Does anyone know how I can change the setting so that two simultaneous clicks from the same mouse will be interpreted as a single click?Alternatively, does anyone know of an ubuntu bug which might be causing a single click to be interpreted as two simultaneous clicks? I suspect that the mouse is not the source of problem but have not had a chance to test it on another machine to confirm.I've searched the forum history and found lots of other people having the same problem of phantom double clicks, but nobody has found a solution in any of the previous threads.

Fedora Networking :: Setting Up Static IP And Vnc Viewer Behind A Router

Oct 19, 2010

I have an old pc that I would like to use as a headless server for my music, files, etc that I can access at work and other places outside of my network. I'm a complete noob in this department so please excuse my overwhelming ignorance. The only thing I've managed to succeed at was installing fedora 13. Two things in particular are giving me trouble: 1.)setting up my router and fedora box so that it has a static ip address and 2.)connecting to the fedora box via vncviewer on my laptop.

HERE ARE SOME QUICK SPECS THE DEVICES INVOVLED:
Fedora Box: Intel Pentium 4 2.66GHz, 1GB ram, Fedora 13
Laptop: Toshiba Satellite A505, Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.20GHz, 4GB ram, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Router: D-Link WBR-1310
ISP: Comcast (cable)

HERE'S WHAT I'VE DONE SO FAR:
Setting Static IP
On the fedora 13 box:
1.)Went to Network Connections and added a new connection
2.)Copied mac address from the default connection
3.)On IPv4 tab, added new address: 192.168.0.200 (this is out of the range which my router will assign automatically) netmask 255.255.255.0, set gateway to 198.168.0.1(router's ip on the network)

When I connect to this new connection web pages don't load, etc. but when I'm on the default connection I have no problems.

Connecting With Vnc Viewer
On the fedora 13 box:
1.)System -> Preferences -> Remote Desktop
2.)Under Sharing I checked "Allow other users to view your desktop" and "Allow other users to control your desktop"
3.)Under Security I unchecked "Ask you for confirmation", checked "Require the user to enter this password", and specified a password

On the router
1.)Set up port forwarding for port 5900, TCP only, to the ip address of the fedora box.

On the laptop
1.)Installed VNCViewer
2.)Went to whatsmyip(dot)org to get ip address of router
3.)Tried to connect to that address, port 5900 (ex. ##.##.##.###::5900)
4.)Connection times out everytime.

OpenSUSE :: Change KDM Font Size On 11.2?

Nov 16, 2009

I'm running OpenSUSE 11.2 on my Acer Aspire One with a 9 inch LCD. I have configured the monitor in Sax2 to reflect the size and 1024x600 resolution, and as a result the desktop fonts are all sized correctly.

However, the fonts on the KDM log-in screen are too large, and I'd like to reduce them if possible. Looking in the KDE Control Center, I tried using the Login Manager utility to adjust the KDM theme, but any changes I made seemed to have no effect i.e. changing the font size, or even the overall theme itself, still resulted in KDM using the default green OpenSUSE theme with large fonts.

Does anyone know, therefore, how to adjust the KDM font size or DPI in OpenSUSE 11.2?

OpenSUSE :: Font Size Adjustment?

Dec 9, 2010

I'm running OpenSuSE 11.3, upgraded from 11.1, with the Nvidia video driver. The font size for Yast, Firefox, and several other things is too small. I've tried changing it using the Appearance section of Personal Settings. That changes the font size in some contexts such as the window titles and task manager, but not in all contexts. In Firefox I've tried something similar, but it doesn't affect the font used in the tabs, function bar on the top, etc. The font in those parts of Firefox is the same as the one in Yast. So there's some other font setting around, but I haven't been able to find it. I've tried Google and SDB, but have no success searching there.

OpenSUSE :: YAST's Too Small Font Size?

Jul 3, 2011

I am running openSUSE 11.4 KDE 64bit. I found the default font in YAST, for example, in Bootloader and Software Management, is about 8-9 points which is too small to read. Why on earth does openSUSE set a tiny font size as default?

I did try Configure Desktop >Application Appearance, etc. as well as qtconfig in the terminal but these seem not to increase the font size to 12-14 points.
