I have installed redhat linux enterprise 5.Im unable to use teamviwer in it.Its showing successfully installed but unable to open....During the installtion I got the following message
"Unable to verify teamviewer6-6.0.9224-1.i386"
when I clicked on details I get this " "Package teamviewer_+linux.rpm is not signed"

I was working with TeamViewer 5 just fine and then saw that TeamViewer 6 was available. I performed a complete removal of TeamViewer 5 via the Synaptic Package Manager and then did a clean install of TeamViewer 6 by executing the new deb file.
TeamViewer 6 was added to the Main Menu just fine, but after rebooting my laptop, the TeamViewer 6 Main Menu launcher was gone and a broken link was there in its place.
I have since followed the solution in the below thread to get a valid TeamViewer 6 launcher back in the Main Menu, but I cannot get rid of the broken link.

In the System->Preferences->Main Menu window, the broken link is basically frozen. I can't hide it or delete it. Is there some file I'm just going to have to update to get rid of it?
I installed teamviewer recently. I can remotely access a windows system from my fedora machine. But i cannot access my fedora machine from the windows machine.
The windows machine is unable to connect to the fedora machine. Do I need to open some ports on fedora machine ?
It might be a totally different angle i should look at this, but here goes.I can start the linux variant of teamviewer by writing teamviewer in the terminal, on the box. Fine.I can start it via /opt/teamviewer/ teamviewer/5/bin/teamviewer.If i connect to the box via ssh and putty, i still can run those commands but nothing happens.My goal in this is to be able to start teamviewer remotely via putty.

I believe it is because of the ATI driver I installed. Before I had installed my ATI driver it wasnt crashing, ran perfectly fine. After installing though teamviewer would always crash. The same thing happened to my friend, and he has a completely different ATI card. Specs:

I have SSH and WinSCP from work. I am using amd64 so the first attempt to install failed due to unmet dependencies. Then I read the MultiArch bit, installed ai32-libs and the install seemed to work. When my wife tried to start TV, it stated that the daemon was not running. When I try to restart the daemon, I get this.....

My choice of preference is to have a server I can trust under my supervision in order to avoid exposing my clients and friends private information from getting exposed? Using TeamViewer, an excellent product, does not secure both my files and theirs because when we connect, we are in their server and if they choose to, can interrupt, copy files, etc. during a remote session. Are there Linux versions for remote support available like TeamViewer that would be in my direct control?

At the moment, TV starts up straight away at login, but seeing as the wireless internet isn't connected straight away, TV's trying to connect without a connection, which is a problem when the wireless does connect as it will get stuck with 'Activating TeamViewer'.
Obviously, this is a straight forward task, just exit and then re-open TV. But seeing as I want to run a headless server, carrying my monitor and mouse to the server every time I want to activate TV isn't ideal.
The way I did set up TeamViewer to start up on login, was by dragging the icon into System>Preferences>Start-up Applications, so if the solution is to create a script of some sort.
I installed teamviewer and immediately skype went offline. Upon logging in to skype I get the following error:
"skype p2p connect failed"
So I rebooted pc, router, performed the command: "rm -rf ~/.Skype" to no avail. Next I removed teamviewer and tried everything again & still the message persists. Skype was set to not use port 80 already, but if it won't log on then I can't get to full the options menu.
I use Team Viewer a lot. In Windows, if you have it set to start with Windows, it starts with only an icon in the tray. On my daughters Acer netbook running Edubuntu Natty, when I set it to start with the computer it opens the full program. My question is how do I set it so it still starts but without being intrusive? View 1 Replies View RelatedI just switched from Ubuntu to Fedora 13 because I was unable to get Ubuntu to connect to wireless networks. I tried everything suggested in help and forums, and kept getting "Bad Password" with WICD and Network Manager. Now, with Fedora...I still can't connect.
Problem #1: The guide says to "...make sure that the relevant wireless interface (usually eth0 or eth1) is controlled by NetworkManager," and that I do this via: System>Administration>Network
However, there is no Network option under System>Administration.
Problem #2: I open Network Manager, which displays a list of networks. I click on mine, configure it with WPA and the right password, and it fails to connect: "The network connection has been disconnected."
The machine boots, graphics come up, login window shows up, but after login there is only the background window (and mouse). My .xsession looks like this:

I'm totally unable to play or mount audio CDs and unable to use video DVD's on my box right now. When I insert an audio CD I get a dialog box saying:

I cannot install Kubuntu (or Unbuntu) 10.4 on my husband's computer. I have spent 5 hours on this and cannot get anywhere. I am deeply frustrated. The iso I burned to CD is good (works on 2 other computers). His computer will not boot from USB, no matter what I do to the drive order in BIOS. I am running the latest suse release downloaded directly from their website. I ran the installation after buring the dvd and everything seemed to be working fine. after the installation i ran updates and used it for a little bit. When i shut it down that night and went to restart it I got an error that stated the OS wasnt there. I then went through the installation and everything and it retained the information from the installation before (web history etc.) but for some reason every time I reboot or shut it down the system is not able to read the startup information from the hard drive and will not come on without me re installing it.

I'm trying to install The Sims 2 (which I'm aware currently does not run properly in wine anyway), using the multi-CD version. All other space is lvm place, on lvm living root and swap partitions. And it's work. Now I want to mirror my root and swap, and add other volumes with different raid requirements (raid0 and raid1).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a lenovo x200 laptop running Fedora 14, fully up to date with the Fedora repository. Seemingly out of nowhere, some websites will no longer load. First it happened to www.facebook.com, next (after a day or so) wikipedia.org, now the Fedora forum. Other Internet access seems fine, but when I try to go to these pages I just get "unable to find host" errors. Its totally bizarre. It first happened in an airport so I thought it was just a strange network there, but now it happens at home. I can't get on these sites in firefox or elinks browsers (in a terminal) BUT I can ping both sites no problem. Also, the other computers in this house have no problem visiting these sites.

I have two integrated LAN's on the MB. All was OK in Windows and figured I'd do some work in Fedora. When I got there I had no internet. I messed around trying to get it working and gave up; went into Ubuntu; same deal. I booted Windows and the same; no network. I tried the other integrated connection and it worked. No way could I get the other nic to work so I tried shutting right down; pulled the plug; waited a few seconds; plugged it back and booted up and it's working again.
