I downloaded jdk-6u11-linux-1586.bin for working java. I don't know whether I downloaded bin file is correct or not. If it is not correct means what type of file I download to install java. I request u to tell steps for install the java.

I can dedicate a drive to each OS no problem and I can imagine how I would install each on it's own drive, but not quite sure what to use as a boot manager?

View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen i try to install opensuse 11.2 i do all the necessary steps but the installation won't start..i installed and used opensuse before im not clueless...before i reformatted my drive i was using windows 7,ubuntu and opensuse together.harddrive (160 gb) is sufficient and the installation was going smooth..i added kde and xfce from the software selection and enabled mbr and boot from /partition...Actually i tried all the alternatives (disabled mbr and /boot,enabled mbr and disabled /partition) but nothing changes..when the installation starts it says ''preparing the disks''but after waiting for 5 minutes and seeing nothing is changed i reboot and take the disk out of disk tray..where am i doing wrong and what i did wrong this time instead of last time that prevented the installation ...i thought my cd went corrupted so i downloaded and burned a new dvd from iso image.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIf you are interested, Java SE 6 Update 24 is available. The Check Java Version link in my signature will tell you if you are up to date or not. The Update Java Version link in my signature will tell you how to obtain and install the latest version. The 32 bit version install directions are on the left side of that page and the 64 bit instructions are on the right side.
Just remember to remove the current version before installing the new one as it says in the instructions. The remove instructions are below the install instructions. Also, in Step 9 - "Now you'll want to tell the system, that there's a new Java version available." See the note below it that says if you get an error upon entering the command once, enter it a second time. I have to do that and sometimes forget. Just thought I would mention that. These instructions are already setup for version 6 update 24, but they can be modified for any update and they will work. I have been using these instructions for a couple of years and they work.
I'm trying to install PyPedal but was overwhelmed by the steps.
