View 1 Replies View RelatedLast year I had a gui tool for configuring the radeon open source drivers in my old slackware install but now I forgot the name of it. I'm pretty sure it was gtk based and no matter what I type in google I can't seem to find any reference to it. There is a radeontool but that's not it. Anyone know what the name for it was, or something else that provides easy configuring of the open source radeon drivers? I remember it had lots of options to configure including some I've never heard of. Thought it'd be easy to find now since it seemed so officially supported during the time I used it!

PLease note I'm looking for something of little lightweight here (Not something like zenoss) But I'd still like to get performance graphs and event notifying alerts. Also note this is to monitor less than 50 servers and perhaps a firewall or 2.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe all know we can install a linux system such as Fedora 10 and use it. Being linux, one should in principle get the source codes for everything that has been precompiled (except the proprietary drivers such as nvidia) in the installation DVDs/CDs. Where are the source codes ? Is there a place I can download them ?
To avoid confusion, I am not referring to the kernel source that can be compiled to give a linux kernel, but that does not include the drivers, such as intel_drv.so.
To be more specific, the intel graphic i810 driver has been built into any linux system, but where is the exact source? One answer may be that primary source intellinuxgraphics.com. However, if anyone tries to download the every changing (i.e., keep updated almost every single day) driver source codes from freedesktop.org, it is almost certain that the source codes will not be the same as the one that is finalized in Fedora 10.
I want to see the source code of smplayer software.from where i can see source code of open source softwares?
View 9 Replies View RelatedOften after using the network tool, making changes, saving changes, closing the tool, and running a 'service network restart'; the tool will not open again unless I reboot. This is the case both via System --> Administration --> Network and system-config-network (from the command line). I am in runlevel 5, as an uprivileged user when this happens.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen logged in as my standard user in Fedora 11 gnome desktop the installed ntfs-config tool will not open and gives an error which says this; "no authentication program found", and to run that ntfs-config as the root in a terminal. So then the only way to open that tool is to type that in a terminal, and it did open, but how can I fix this ? Can this issue be related to ownership and permissions of it ? Also the num lock does not come on during boot up, is there a easy fix for that too ? This is a recent fresh updated install from the DVD with the ext4 file system. All the ntfs-3g applications are installed as default, so I just added that enable ntfs write support tool with the package manager.

I can not seem to find a pdf viewer browser plugin other than the actual craprobat plugin from Adobe. The default Ubuntu install comes with a perfectly good open source stand alone pdf viewer, but this means that the browser has to save it to your download directory then run the external viewer, and eventually your download directory is all cluttered up. I would much rather just view the pdf in the browser. Is there no open source browser plugin?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI refuse to use .net for any of my apps since I hate using proprietary code that wont work on other platforms without using emulation.
However, I do like how all the hard work is done for you and you can spend more time implementing, then actually coding stuff like socket classes, date/time classes and other wrappers to make the complex C/C++ code easier to use and tie with each other I have a custom library that I've been adding to as I need stuff, but then I got thinking, there must be something out there with everything I need to code applications, that is easy to use and more reliable and efficient then anything I'd ever make.
Does such framework exist?
