View 3 RepliesI reload the indexpage of the General Help forum, the screen view is not the same as what it was. When I read the indexpage the first thread is listed at the top of the screen, I scroll down to have that. After reloading I see the top of the page on top of the screen and I have to scroll down again. This used to be different. It used to be after reloading the page I would get the same view.See attached pictures to see what I mean. The first one is the view I like to see, the second is what I get after reloading the page.Is this something which is caused by software in my computer, or is this dne on the website side?
I use Mint 9, related to Lucid 10.04 in 64 bits version and Google Chrome as webbrowser. To reload pages automatically I use the plug-in Autoreload and have it set at 10 seconds.I just saw in Firefox it works good, so it must be Chrome.I also placed this thread in the "Forum Feedback and Help" forum but since that is a less popular forum I want to place it here.
I have installed silverlight via software installer but when I try to view catch up tv via channel nine MSN it says that silverlight may not be up to date and it does not show the video. I run Opensuse 11.4 64 bit kde, and I have tried Google Chrome and Firefox.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have fedora 12 and I'm playing a game using wine. To view a page from inside the games own browser(it has an internet browser style menu) there is a button that says "open in external browser" I've used it hundreds of times to save that particular page to a folder when I was in windows but now that I'm using fedora it doesnt do anything. Is this something I have to configure in firefox or could it be something else.

Background:I have a small PC104 running opensuse 11.1. I'm writing a small client/server application for debugging purposes using mono and WCF. All the client does is make a request for information every 100ms.Problem:After about 20 requests the server quits responding to the client. Even if the client is running on the same machine. I've run the exact code on another laptop running opensuse as well as a laptop running windows and everything works great. Hopefully that closes the option that it is a code, mono, or opensuse flaw.Is there a kernel option or a network option that anyone knows about that might cause this sort of behavior?

I used to run lighttpd with php in my server until now and all was fine. But yesterday I changed my website which needs apache to run. So installed apache using yum install httpd command.
Then I added the virtual host name of my domain in webmin panel but when i try to run my php script in browser then its not opening php pages.
Instead it downloads php files like index.php when i open in browser. So I guess apache is not able to compile and run php pages. Only html pages are opening right now..
when i input man <cmd>.....it's saying formatting pages....n then it is displaying blank page.

I have a project built on Silverlight 2.0. I installed Fedora 13 (KDE) a few days ago since I'd like to brush my Linux skills after a long Windows-only time.I installed the monodevelop package and it's dependencies. But while building this project I got the following error:
Code:
Error: Framework 'Moonlight / Silverlight 2.0' not installed.
But I can't find a Moonlight package in PackageKit. Does one exists? Should I download it from Mono Project and build it manually?

I'm trying to watch some of my college's sports online, and they are set-up to use silver-light, but for me it is epic fail. Seems like others are having similar problems, but that is why this is a FAQ, or a FOP, frequently occurring problem. And if I don't post it again, its not treated as a frequent occurring problem. The college page suggests that I use moonlight to watch, but the iced/tea program it recommended broke other programs operation.

View 9 Replies View Relatedi use firefox for a long time, but today in opensuse he just stoped working without any reasonable reason! The only page he opens from now on is my default page... when i try to go to other ones appears this error message: "by the way the server is redirecting you, you will never reach your destination" or something like that. After this, says that this may be caused by blocked cookies... the problem is with my firefox, cause konqueror is working ok!
View 9 Replies View Relatedi recently got a logitech clearchat pro headset for christmas. i configured it as the primary soundcard and, after i select it as master channel in kmix, it works perfectly.the problem now is that whenever i want to listen to sound on webpages (ie. videos) through anything but the headset, well, i can't.it seems now that browsers don't recognize that the headset's been unplugged, so they still try to play through the empty usb port. system sounds and amarok recognize when the headset's not there - the system says, when the logitech's been unplugged, that it "no longer works, falling back to hda intel" - but the web browsers, mozilla firefox and google chrome, don't produce any sound.
i've tried changing "hda intel" back to the primary sound card, but then the system doesn't automatically switch to the logitech headset when it's plugged in because it's not of "higher priority".

I configured my printer via YaST (Suse 11.3). YaST finds my printer and offers me the Gutenprint driver: Epson Stylus D120 with driver Epson Stylus D120 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.4 I selected this driver and finished the configuration.
The problem now is, that if I print something, the printer only prints a totally black page. How can I solve this? Should I use another driver?
PS: With Suse 11.2 and Gutenprint driver it worked.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm using openSUSE 11.2/KDE 4.4 and Konqueror is behaving strangely lately. That is, when I click an entry in RSS Now widget, Konqueror opens, but instead of going to the web, it displays the cached version of the page (i.e. from /var/tmp/kdecache-[username]/krun/...).Initially I thought it is related to the widget (RSS Now), but the same thing happened when Konqueror was called by another program (Google Desktop > preferences): it opened the cached version of the page instead of what I've expected (localhost on some port). As I see these things, it seems there is a setting making Konqueror/KDE to preload some pages (I guess it's related to a KDE service). The problem is it subsequently displays the cache, not the online version.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have openSUSE 11.2 and printer Brother HL-2040 connected to my openSUSE laptop. It was correctly recognized by manufacturer and model and was "automagically" installed by downloading the appropriate driver. Whenever I click "print" its name correctly appears on the page on which you choose where to send the print jobs to. And when I click "print" it prints... empty pages. When I chose to print the test page, 10 empty pages came out.
This printer worked just fine under Ubuntu 9.04 and winXP. I read the topic here about HL-2040 in openSUSE 11.2 using the driver of 2060 but upon checking both the printer config page and CUPS web admin page it was confirmed that the driver is actually the correct required one, HL-2060 Foomatic/Postscript.
Looking at the list of nVidia Geforce packages they all say "NVIDIA graphics driver kernel module for GeForce 6xxx and newer GPUs".. Does this means the installer will install the correct driver for y GT 9500 or do I keep flipping the pages until I find a 9xxx? ..also would the "nvidia-gfxG02-kmp-desktop" be the correct one to select for my system?
