I had an extension i started making and had loaded in Chromium. Well i forgot to unload it and deleted the files for it. Well now Chromium crashes on startup saying it can't find the manifest file for it. How can i remove the entry for that in the extension cookies file?

As per the standard installation and /etc/cron.allow doesn't exist (I tested if it made a difference if it existed with the single line root in it, but there was no effect). I need cron to execute because I want zypper to auto-update my server. On my home openSUSE 11.4 installation the problem doesn't exist. Is it perhaps related to the settings in the yast security center?
I've recently installed suse x64 kde in dual boot mode with windows. I have 2 primary partitions with ntfs with 1 for windows7 boot and other for data/storage. There is no boot provision for data partition. SUSE install is on extended partition. I am unable to run fdisk -l and boot info script for some reason, kde is freaking me out (used to use gnome for last 4 years). The GRUB shows data as a boot and it added an entry in its menu. I will like to remove that entry from menu list.

I have no clue what I did, please don't ask Now though I have been successful in turning into an OpenSUSE 11.2 system by changing the repositories to OpenSUSE 11.2, doing a "zypper refresh", "Zypper in Zypper", "Zypper dup -d", "Zypper dup". I also did a repair and refreshed the base packages with an OpenSUSE 11.2 DVD and that seemed to help also. The only thing it seems I can get right is that yast/yast2 give me this error: Download failed: Failed to download ./repo/repoindex.xml from https://nu.novell.com/?cookies=0&cre...NCCcredentials

Anyhow, I am downloading them using Internet Download Manager running in an XP virtual machine in VMWare on my Ubuntu 10.04 PC (due to the queuing, restart and speed capabilities of IDM). This of course does not work in Linux. I have researched the Linux rename command and reviewed a lot of examples. However, I have not found a way to add an extension to a batch of files which are named with no extension to start with. The spaces in the file names also seem to present an issue. At the moment I am renaming them from the Windows VM while they are sitting on the Samba share using the ancient File Manager program from Windows NT which works great on XP. I was copying an .avi file to an external hard drive and half way through the copy the drive reset and required remounting. Consequently I have an empty .avi file on the hard drive. I tried to recopy the file and overwrite, but I keep getting 'Could not write to media/harddrive/filename.avi'. I tried to rename to file to be copied but got the same response, I cannot delete the empty file either, as I get an error telling I cannot delete it. I have tried to do this as the user and root with the same result.Any other file I tried to copy onto the external hard drive is fine, just this one zero length file and the file I was trying to copy, the original of the file. I also tried to delete the file on another computer but couldn'tExternal hard drive is a WD elements ntfs, which works great except for this glitch.
